They opened here years ago, I just wish they would open more location and not just in town (but it makes sense, they go where the tourists are, I'm just glad they opened here in pearl city). The restaurant is nice and clean but heads up they don't have restrooms. They said you actually have to leave and use the food courts next door. Anyways, their food is always excellent. I decided to treat myself to their pork belly breakfast, omg it was so delicious. Though it is a bit pricey, sometimes it's good to treat yourself. Their rolls are excellent as usual, my only complaint their coffee cups are so small. If you're gonna give small cups, please leave the pitcher lol. Now for their bakery, they are known for their coco puffs but they have so much more! This place is always clean, workers are always friendly and patient. I mention patient because sometimes I take a minute to decide what I want. The food in the restaurant is good. It's not the coffee shop style of dining that you may expect or remember from the original Liliha location. It's got more of a higher end vibe. Now for the bakery, I feel yes, items have gotten smaller, prices have gone way up. Like 10 years ago we never would have imagined paying these prices for the same items. I'm surprised such a well-known tourist spot opened up a restaurant in a local area, but what do I know about opening a restaurant? Whenever I pass by, there seems to be people waiting in the front, especially during dinner time. Who knew this place would be the spot to go to for dinner? From the outside, it reminds me of the restaurant Tiana from The Princess and the Frog built -which make total sense! It's the high, lofty ceilings, big, open, bright lights - they really got the plantation building vibe well. The servers have been great whether they're the quick-service bakery or the servers for our dinner. I remember one dinner, my meal took longer than everyone else at the table and they were apologetic in that and kept checking in and made sure I felt seen. As far as the food, I've tried their cutlet, breakfast pancakes/waffle, fried chicken, and a couple other dishes. Some I ordered myself and some my husband ordered, therefore they are my dishes as well. All of them tasted great and I do have to say, considering how long they've been open, you would think the standards go down at some point, but I have not experienced that at all. The breads, butters, and jellies still slap. And most of all, my husband and other family members I've come here with LOOOVE the kimchi fried rice and/or the pork loco moco. Personally, I used to only think about Liliha Bakery whenever friends from the mainland come to visit. The location feels like a mix of the old original location with a mix of newer styles to make it feel more modern but homey. We always start off with the rolls and their famous jam which is the perfect start while waiting for the food. We ordered the oxtail soup which was very clean but flavorful. It came with a decent amount of oxtail meat which was pretty tender. It also came with two scoops of rice and ginger to add to. Long-established bakery in town that's been well-known for its reputation. Totally reminded me of LA's Porto Bakery with the concept, vibe, and affordable prices. A mix of resto and bakery with huge dining space that could accommodate big group and big selections within the bakery cases. Also multiple outlets in town! The one in Pearl City had particularly speedy service and super responsive servers. Yep you could tell hard to find stuffs and make choices given those huge options. We got their iconic Poi Mochi Doughnut, Coco Puff, and Hawaiian Butter Mochi. We were impressed by all particularly the last one with the huge portion that we could even bring home and still so so good. Perfectly chewy with slight crunch on top from the sugar and cinnamon. The Coco Puff was another pleasantful one, with chocolate custard inside and chantily (salted caramel alike) crunch layer on top that I was really fond of. Poi doughnut was similar to any other mochi doughnut, just featuring their iconic taro-alike local gem. If you wanna try multiple local signature sweets all at once certainly go here. read more

Whenever my brother comes home to visit, we always make sure to hit up Liliha Bakery. One of those comfort food locations that he always wants to visit. I personally like this location better than others because for one the location is closer to where I live and the parking situation is easier. There's always a wait to get in, but they make it easy for you to check in. There's a machine where you type in your name, phone number and the number of people in your party. My only wish is that it would tell you how long the wait is so you know whether you should just stick around or go for a walk around the shopping center. Luckily the wait wasn't very long when we arrived, so we were seated within about 5 minutes of arriving. Our go to orders are the Smoked Pork Belly and Kimchi Fried Rice. There's never a need to look at anything else because these two items are always a win! The smoked pork belly used to come with eggs, but I guess it doesn't anymore. He was also eyeing out the Mac Nut Waffard because he has had that and thoroughly enjoyed it in the past. My brother can eat, so when he is able to leave a restaurant feeling full and completely satisfied, you know it's a winner. Liliha Bakery did this for him. Rating actually/ 4 1/2, stars. Went here on a Saturday at around 9am. It was crowded, but we got seated pretty quickly. We ordered their regular New York Steak (4/5) & their Miso Butterfish (5/5). The steak was cooked fine but not too juicy since a NY steak is usually more lean. I wanted to order their Prime Rib, but they start serving that around 10:30am to 11am. Bummers. The Miso Butterfish is a winner; full of flavor. Just watch out for any small bones. Also got their famous pancake which I forgot to take a picture of. Lots of parking at Highlands. This review is solely regarding very specific bakery items. They don't have it most times we visit... but their dobash/Boston cream pie hybrid cake is soooo ono!! If you freeze them by the slice, it's excellent with just a few minutes to thaw slightly... it's like a frozen custard cake. So crazy delicious. We also love their maple bacon, Boston cream pie, and long John donuts. If you need to reheat them, they're better made into French toast, monkey bread, or waffles... regular steaming helps as well but recommend just eating them fresh as much as possible. read more

Met a friend for breakfast at nine in a Friday. We were seated quickly because there still a lot of open tables. Our server was great, efficient but still took time to show aloha. She didn't rush us since we were catching up but was right there when we were ready to order. Brought our yummy basket of signature grilled butter rolls and their special jelly quickly. YUM! Love these, warm, crispy, buttery, I look forward to having these every time. She ordered the roast pork loco moco eggs over way and I ordered the smoked pork belly loco moco eggs sunny side up. My friend told me LB has excellent multigrain rice, and since I'm not a big fan of fried rice in my loco moco I was sold! We both got the multi grain rice. It was perfect with the loco moco. Gravy went well with it, rice was cooked to perfection, not too hard, and both texture and flavor was great. Good choice! Our dishes came soon enough and both our eggs were cooked exactly as ordered. My friend ate every bit of the roast pork, eggs, and gravy, leaving only some rice. I had two large slabs of pork belly cooked to perfection, nice and crispy and of course not dry. Tasted great even without gravy, but I always enjoy LB gravy. Since it was a lot of food I took half home. I have another small meal! Our server checked on us at appropriate times, only thing I would have liked was a refill of my water. Other than that, we were taken care of well and given the space we needed to catch up. She even brought T air our containers without us asking! By 10:30 the restaurant was relatively full with diners all enjoying their meals. We were able to enjoy our conversation, restaurant wasn't too noisy so it was a great place for getting together. It was also fun to see desserts being brought out from the back ready to go up front. Our server was welcoming and helpful while taking our order and coming back to check on us. /// Menu Items & More \\\ ~ I went straight for the jugular and ordered the Ox Tail Soup ($27.95), and yes I know it's not breakfast but I had to try it. I mean, it's part of their Daily Specials. It came with purple rice and minced ginger which was so good! The broth itself was clear and delicious as well. The tails, well they were tender and flavorful as well. I'd probably order this again even though it's pretty pricey. So glad I had leftovers too! ~ I had a cousin that killed the French Toast ($14.95), I mean they used their sweet bread. Something I wasn't expecting. Liliha Bakery in Pearl City is good! We came here a few times and the interior is large with lots of seating, BUT they fill up! Be prepared for a wait! I think the buttered rolls are so delicious! I tried their kimchi fried rice and it was really sweet. I'm Korean-American, and it was truly too sweet for Me. Their Loco moco is delicious! A random thing that I loved was their ranch It turns out thier salad uses a homemade ranch that they now sell in store! This place was busy! They have a bakery section which was huge and looks like the crowd favorite was cream puffs. No reservations required we walked in and were greeted by Audryl who was great. Menu has breakfast options available all day but we opted for lunch. While you wait for your food you are given some butter buns that literally melts in your mouth. I had the grilled salmon plate with rice and corn which was yummy. Salmon cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken wing plate which looked great and he mentioned it was the best he had on the Island. We have guava mimosa as the alcohol beverage list is limited. Service was great. My friends and I stopped in at Liliha Bakery at Pearl Highlands for a casual dinner. They don't take reservations, but luckily it wasn't too busy at 6pm on a Monday night so we were seated right away. The dinner menu is pretty extensive and includes all day breakfast. I absolutely love their hot cakes so it's always a must order. I also love that this location serves wine and beer. Service was great and the food came quickly. Food portions are smaller from previous visits. Mushroom chicken had two small pieces of chicken. The banana hotcakes had two pancakes with a smaller half size pancake on the bottom. The waitress took our order and never came back. She stood in the corner talking to another waitress the entire time. She brought the bill and we had to ask her for a menu so we could order desserts.
