Was looking for coffee but instead found a yummy donut place. My kids were very happy about gettin donuts with different flavors too. They also had coffee which was a win for me and I tried their blueberry donut, which was very YUM! The donut was soft and melt in my mouth kind good and the flavor was savory and just the right amount of sweetness. Service was good, the guy was patient and kind especially while we were still deciding. Clean and nice big open space inside where people can sit and just fellowship too. All in all would come here again!

Really great island flavors. The donuts are really light and fluffy and not too sweet. My only complaint is the lychee flavor doesn't really come through. Prices were a little high for a donut shop but overall I would recommend.

Donut say it... What took me so long to finally give them a try. As far as I can remember my OG circle of friends we'd categorized ourselves through food as one was ice cream, other fries and me was donut though really not a huge donut fan as many are mass produced items with the traditional glazed topping more as a sugar treat versus a comforting bite. After visiting Claw Fever on this first New Year 2026 day I thought to see what other biz that's offering us their time by opening their doors for us lonely folks and here's Island Glazed with what seems to be a decently stocked display case filled with various fonts with the traditional glazed topping and with some island flavors like Ube, Strawberry Mango, Mango LiHing, Lychee and Pineapple just to name a few it was a difficult choice to pick just one as I was just here for a snack...Strawberry was it. Don't get me wrong as it sounds so basic versus the other bougie choices it was the specks of strawberries that I saw just from the display case that just caught my eye and just had to give them a try as if they can't do strawberry then what lol! All I could taste was strawberries and what a flavor explosion that I didn't expect and as we all have our favorites it was apparent as a guest came in and asked for an item that was sold out contemplated and walked out is disappointment lol so I can understand and appreciate the favorites and gosh I was impressed. The vibe in here is quite cozy with a large comfy sofa and four tables which I took upon as I was in desperate need to find a place to finish my holiday cards to send and immediately knew this was the place. Nice and cool air conditioned shop though without a bathroom does leave me rethinking my decision. Lots of free parking from Pearl Kai is nice and knowing that I'm able to relax and enjoy here is the real treat along with a nicely rounded meal. Thank you!

Dearest beloved Island Glazed, I thought we would be reunited again in 2026. That you would be my first donut of the New Year, warm and familiar, welcoming me back like no time had passed. But alas, my child's hopes, dreams, and aspirations have kept us apart. A sacrifice, though my heart--and stomach--ache all the same. I still remember that first day you came into my life. It was the first day of the New Year (2025), surrounded by fellow Yelpers. Out you came, piping hot, carried by a staff member who surely knew the power of glory she held in her hand. In that moment, I was changed. There has never been another time when I drove back in the same day for a donut, but you demanded nothing less. So fresh, so far, so heartbreakingly sweet in my tastebuds memory. I dream of the day I return to the island to subdue my yearning, to taste you once again, and to heal the months of longing that no other donut could ever soothe. With all my sweet tooth heart, Kim C. Your devoted admirer BACKSTORY: I thankfully got my first experience with Island Glazed with the UYE Yelp Dash for da Donut Crew in 2025. For 10 years thanks to our amazing host Ric C. we gathered together eating a freshly made donut for the new year. Read my review: https://yelp.to/hb2r18cm6W My oldest son is graduating from college this year. Instead of a graduation party he wants a trip in celebration. Amazingly a family trip :) It was up in the air if we would go back home for the holidays or enjoy summer in Hawaii. By reading my love letter you know we decided with the latter. ISLAND GLAZED details: Where: Island Glazed is tucked inside the Pearl Kai Shopping Center in Aiea. Parking: FREE parking Prices: Donuts run about $2.50 each. You can save a bit by getting them half‑dozen or by the dozen. Flavors: The menu rotates through local-inspired treats like guava, lychee, pineapple, ube, lilikoi, matcha, and the classic original glazed "OG" light, airy, and reminiscent of Krispy Kreme. Don't worry when I return in the summer I will reunite with my beloved once again.

We had just gotten off a red eye from Vegas to Oahu. My daughter went to baggage claim and found coffee for me while I waited at the ride share pickup spot. After picking up her car at a friend's house, she took me to Island Glazed. Nice doughnuts! I' m all about Ube when I'm on island. This gorgeous purple hued donut called out to me. Yummy! It sent me to Ube heaven. Do stop here if you're nearby. 11

This place had a weird smell on the inside. I had a lot of open space for sitting and having some donuts. The donuts are actually really good. My daughter compared them to a version of Krispy Kreme, but better. Little on the pricey side, but we go back again.

Apple fritters, there's four in the box
    Kathy A.

Took two tries to get the Apple Fritters, scored them on the second attempt. I will admit the pictures I've seen on Yelp are alluring, who doesn't luv an Apple Fritter(?) but these fell flat for me. Maybe it was just the batch I bought but there were so few bites of apples it shouldn't have been labeled as such. The size is very large, the dough tender and sweet, the glaze perfect but two little cubes in the entire fritter doesn't make it in my book of fritters. Parking at Pearl Kai shopping center was great as this was an after lunch pick up. The young man at the counter was so helpful I'd come back just because of him!

Update on Island Glazed well I was craving for some good donuts and of course Island Glazed Pearl Kai shopping center . Last night my nephew friend bought him a dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme (Maui) and I said yeah that's my favorite donuts . Well it wasn't the same compared to the Mainland Krispy Kreme. It wasn't as crispy and the frosting was almost melting . Of course I understand it's hot but when I'm in Vegas during hot season the Krispy Kreme donut can last up to 2days and it's still crispy lol . So that is why today I stopped by Island Glazed my 2nd best donuts in my books . Plus local support

There was a young boy who loved Island Glazed Donuts so much that he wrote a note to "Mr. Donut" aka owner, Daniel Lee. With the note was an adorable Hot Wheel Donut race car! See photo. It touched Daniel and he kept the note and Hot Wheel Donut car in an auspicious place on a store shelf. Next to it was an interesting looking Lucky Cat type doll. Not a cat but a collector type Lucky Figure given to Daniel by his friend. Daniel says, I think it's supposed to bring my donut shop good luck. Well, it's nearing it's 2nd year anniversary. So congratulations Daniel! You may wonder why I wanted to share these heartfelt stories with you? It's because it reflects the owner's character and Aloha. I picked the six pack of donuts to buy. I started to select flavors and asked Daniel for suggestions. He knew which ones were popular, so I just asked him to pick the six! Every donut was fluffy, light and full of flavor! Some reviews mentioned the donuts are oily. None of the donuts I tried were oily. The donuts were light, fluffy and the glaze (although on the sweet side) were delicious. I think my favorites were the chocolate macadamia donut and strawberry glazed donut. The donuts are still great the next day. I placed the extras in the refrigerator. Microwave for 10 seconds or less, for a soft texture or just eat straight out of the box lol. So happy I stopped by to try Island Glaze! I'll be back! Support Local! Thank you Daniel. Ample free parking right outside store front. Pearl Kai Shopping Center.

Here's the 6 pack with strawberry, coffee, sprinkle and original.

They were at the Wai Kai Thursday night food truck event and had tried th and I'm hooked! It reminds us of krispy cream but better. They're all so super nice and extremely friendly there and at the Pearl Kai location where we had it again. It's so cute inside and plenty of room for groups. A lot of flavors but our faves is the coffee, matcha, pb&j. Next time gonna have the long John which is my all time donut! I hope they open up another location more on the west side cause they'll do great! Mahalo Island Glazed and we appreciate the hours you open and close :)

The best donuts on the island. I have no problem eating them the next day! My favs are the strawberry & coffee donuts. The service is great & the inside is clean!

I had Island Glazed bookmarked after seeing all the reviews and social media post, since I LOVE donuts and they are my weakness! I had to save it for a splurge day to finally make it. I am glad they are open on Sundays, which is Sunday Funday for me! We didn't get up bright and early for donuts but we arrived a little past 10 am, luckily the donuts were plentiful. I am loving this business already, love the spacious shop with comfy seats for us to enjoy the goods! Loved the colorful donuts in the display and they also have Kolache ( reminds me of Texas) I miss eating that, but I had my mind set on donuts! We got a half dozen mixed assortment ( $16.99) for my son, his gf & my hubby. One each for me & other half and 2 each for the son and his gf. I also munched on some glazed donut holes. The assortments were pineapple, maple, chocolate mac. nut, & strawberry. I loved that they have a great assortment of flavors. Ok family, "Donut bother me, while I am enjoying my donut!" Although my favorite donut will always be glazed or maple, I will have to come back to try other flavors. The verdict of these donuts, YUMS! From one donut lover to another-approved! I loved how it is glazed, chewy, and with a lite crisp. The rest of the donuts was enjoyed by all. I wish I can eat more than just one donut but I can't go crazy with my splurging, I will save Island Glazed for the next splurge! Overall, great new business to the Pearl Kai Shopping Center. They open daily Mon-Friday 8-2 and Sat.- Sunday 8-5, ask for the monthly special donut. Island Glazed, taste the island in every bite, reading this on the box, love it, love it!

The hot single is a classic and still my favorite. It's simple but so good, especially when it's fresh and warm. The strawberry fields and lilikoi were both really flavorful, and the chocolate crunch had the perfect texture. They still taste great even after cooling down at home, but they're definitely on another level when you eat them fresh. I don't really have a sweet tooth-I'm a no icing, no frosting kind of girl. I wouldn't dream of eating a cinnamon roll with icing, that's a no for me. But their donuts are delicious all the same and can definitely scratch the itch if you do have a sweet tooth. As someone who's vegan, it can be hard to find a dessert I actually feel good about, and this is one of those places. Everything is taro-based and cooked in coconut oil, which I really appreciate. Just a heads up-all of their donuts are taro donuts. The flavors come from the toppings, so if you see something like a strawberry one, the donut itself isn't strawberry--it's the topping. Their offerings change, ( they do have their core donuts that don't change-and I usually go for one "naked"--no glaze. Sometimes I'll get the honey and sea salt one. Right now they have a seasonal donut called Black Sabbath that's black sesame, brûléed banana. Every time I've been in, I'm greeted right away, and there's plenty of free parking. They get your order out super quick. If you don't want a whole donut--or you're eating in your car and don't want to make a mess--their little donuts called Holeys are the perfect pop-in-your-mouth option. The place has always be well kept and clean - and they have a very spacious, and equally as clean, bathroom. They also have an app where you can check the menu, keep track of your rewards, and manage gift cards, which makes it really convenient. Also, if you're not signed up for their rewards program, do it. You're basically passing up free donuts if you don't. Give them a go, share your experience and if your taste buds celebrated. SYOY! I used their website to place an online order the day before, which was pretty user-friendly including pics of the baked goods available. I wanted to get a few pastries for myself to try and bring some poi malasadas for my volunteer group. I saw they also sold sandwiches, which I was unaware of & was happy to see they had a chicken salad sandwich that I ended up ordering. Pick-up was scheduled for 9AM. They are easy to find and located across the street from the Halawa rec center. As other yelpers have mentioned, parking can be tricky but there is ample parking. Just be sure not to park in any stalls marked reserved. When I got there, there were only 2 customers ahead of me, a man in the store, and a lady just outside the door. Apparently they limit the amount of people in the door because of how small the area is and probably same set-up from covid time. Plus if there are already people at the register, there's a sign on the door that says, "the line starts here." So even though I ordered ahead, I still had to wait to get in. They should at least have another employee help with just pick-up orders to move the line along in case customers in front of you have huge orders. After I stood there waiting, 3 more people lined up behind me. Once I got to the counter, the girl had to go in the back to get my order which was already bagged when she brought it to me. It took about 10 minutes altogether from waiting in line to leaving. She was nice and friendly and the front area was kept clean. Poi malasadas, $2 each - good sized and ono, nice & soft, not overly sweet. Blueberry scone, $3.60 - meh, on the dry side & looks like they use frozen blueberries or preserved, not worth it. Butter roll, $1.45 - meh, on the dry side even after warming it. Long john, $3.90 - ono, hands down one of the best I've had. It is a little pricier than other bakeries but it is huge. They do not skimp on the custard, filled to the max & it was tasty, not overly sweet. The only thing I didn't like was there was way too much powered sugar topping, which made the donut part too sweet. Still worth getting & way better than Zippy's. Chicken salad sandwich, $9.75 - one of the best I've had. Wasn't sure what to expect from a bakery but it was delicious & the price was very reasonable. Comes on a soft, sweet bread type roll and packed with chicken salad & lettuce. They also did not skimp on the chicken salad, which was also very flavorful. This sandwich was huge & barely fit the container it came in. I could only eat half because it was so filling. All sandwiches come with a bag of chips. Unfortunately, the website doesn't give you a choice of what you want, they just stuck a bag of fritos in the bag, which I was ok with. I would get this again. Overall, I was pleased with most of the food. Ordering online ahead of time was easy, friendly service at pick-up with a clean area, & ample free parking. I plan to come back and try some other goodies. Support local!

We now see a For lease sign on one of the greatest Donut shops there is! This dedicated, friendly, consistent owner, his wife, and child was a great honor to have met in my lifetime. I and my fellow colleagues frequent this perfectly hidden Gem buying dozens of Donuts for the team these past 6 years. Prior to that I would visit this shop on my own going to and returning from work as a daily regime. This place was very much loved by everyone you passed by in and out of this business. Donuts, Bear claws, Cinnamon rolls and so much more. Such a sad sad loss that this family owned business is no longer with us. I can personally say for 10 longs years , Mr Donut you satisfied my sugar cravings and I will never forget you. Where ever you are, God Bless you.

Mr. Donuts is your more classic donut shop, but that doesn't take away from what they offer which is goodness in each bite, my favorites are the oreo white frosting one, the claw and the fritter, but nearly all of them have great taste. You can follow them on Instagram and order through messaging, pay with PayPal or Venmo and let him know when you will be there (park on the street, he will tell you where) and they come and bring them to you. Excellent service, price ($20 for a dozen), and taste there's a reason why I come from Kaneohe to grab my Donuts .

The butterfish was delicious-perfectly cooked and seasoned. I loved their potato mac salad. The rice and corn complemented the meal well. The guava plantation iced tea was lightly sweetened. I'm happy to see a local business thriving but I hope they can improve their customer flow. The baked goods looked as inviting as always but they seemed a day-old or something. The butter horn was hard and not flaky as I've come to expect and the chocolate of the Boston Creme donut wasn't creamy. They may wish to consider: 1, Clearly delineating the line for the restaurant from the bakery. It was super busy for both so there was a lot of confusion. 2. Perhaps placing the number machine for the bakery closer to the door? Tourists aren't familiar with the system so it leads to some unnecessary dissatisfaction. 3. The staff had to leave the counter to get coffee - hot or iced. The condiments for the coffee were on the showcase so people had to be in everyone's way to get their sugar and cream. In fact, if you were standing near the door you had to go through people waiting in line back into the establishment to get those items. But, with all this, the two ladies at the counter were remarkably composed and helpful.

A mix of resto and bakery with huge dining space that could accommodate big group and big selections within the bakery cases. Also multiple outlets in town! The one in Pearl City had particularly speedy service and super responsive servers. Yep you could tell hard to find stuffs and make choices given those huge options. We got their iconic Poi Mochi Doughnut, Coco Puff, and Hawaiian Butter Mochi. We were impressed by all particularly the last one with the huge portion that we could even bring home and still so so good. Perfectly chewy with slight crunch on top from the sugar and cinnamon. The Coco Puff was another pleasantful one, with chocolate custard inside and chantily (salted caramel alike) crunch layer on top that I was really fond of. Poi doughnut was similar to any other mochi doughnut, just featuring their iconic taro-alike local gem. If you wanna try multiple local signature sweets all at once certainly go here.
