This is so far the best poke nachos I've had up to date. The chips are thick, dark brown, and tastes like they were either baked or soaked with some sauce/seasoning. They for sure make their own wonton chips in-house because these are unique. We did the half spicy ahi and kamikaze which was marinated tuna in this creamy sauce. They squeezed this thick glaze dressing which was almost like sweet soy sauce with teriyaki notes. They sprinkled a nice load of furukaki and chopped green onions. We ordered a large so it was basically 1-lb and filled us up. It's a lot and at times can taste rich and bold so be sure to have a drink on hand. We also tried their braised beef with rice and Mac salad. The beef was tender and tasted similar to this Filipino dish (can't remember then name). It was good and definitely worth trying. Absolutely loved this poke spot. We ordered the poke nachos with a half-and-half combo and a side of rice, and wow -- so good. The fish was super fresh, flavors were on point, and the nachos were dangerously addictive. Funny part: I ran into 7-11 real quick to grab drinks, and when I came back... the entire thing was GONE. My son completely destroyed it. I was a little annoyed at first but honestly just happy he loved it that much. It's one of the few local grindz he'll eat, so seeing his taste buds expand is a win. Parking out front and only one other person in front of us. There were quite a few patrons already inside either already eating or awaiting their plate lunches. From what we saw, looks like we need to come back for one of those. We were on a mission though to try their Poke Nachos bc hello POKE is in the name of their restaurant. So soft and the sauce they use for their kamakaze is just perfection! It goes well with the poke. We usually go to Tanioka's as our first poke stop right off the plane, but it was closed (was a Tuesday) so we came here instead. It's a tiny place but has some table seating inside. I'm always pretty skeptical when people talk about poke nachos. One, I'm not really a fan of nachos so I'm already kind of turned off. Secondly, I just imagine a soggy mess of chips under some poke and at that point, I'm thinking why ruin a great thing (poke with rice). So I stopped by poke on the run one day to try these famous poke nachos with my expectations high because people said they're amazing and also kinda low because I didn't think I'd like them more than poke with rice. Anywayyy they were amazing. So you roll up to this kind of random street in Pearl City, which I happen to be kind of familiar with because I've been to the bon dance around the corner a few times. And you pass a liquor store and find this pretty unassuming restaurant where you order at the counter and then either take out or sit at one of the plenty of tables inside. The aunties behind the counter were really nice and when I ordered the half spicy half kamikaze mini nachos, they made me a small batch of the kamikaze because they had run out. So nice! There are quite a few other options on the menu. A lot of plate lunch options and poke bowls. They only have two flavors for poke: spicy or kamikaze. The kamikaze is a shoyu based sauce. So the poke nachos come out and it's a pretty big portion even though the container is one of those half sized ones. The chips aren't your basic tortilla chips. They're won ton chips and extra crispy and thick so they don't get soggy with all the delicious sauce that covers them. I usually like spicy ahi more than shoyu based flavors, but I thought the combo was perfect flavor and sauce wise. I felt like I got my money's worth for the price and the ahi was perfect. I'll be back for more poke nachos for sure. I'm a convert! read more

The staff is very patient and friendly. The setting is nice and cozy with a few tables to dine-in. My fav here is the 1/2 pound nacho poke(mini). I always take a scoop of spicy ahi and shoyu poke. The Poke is always fresh and refrigerated to the right temperature. The Laulau is real good and not dry. The Fried ahi is moist yet crunchy on the outside. This is primarily a take-out place, but they do have several tables inside. I ordered the mini poke nachos for $14, which came with 1/2 pound of poke and fried wonton chips. You can choose between two pokes and I selected the kamakaze - cubed ahi with shoyu, oyster sauce & special sauce. The nachos were fantastic, and it seemed more than 1/2 pound of poke. The wonton chips were a little burnt. I'm glad I got a mini because it was just the right amount of food for me. Hubby got the mini poke bowl for $14, which came with 1/2 pound poke (he also chose kamakaze) with 1 scoop of rice with furikake on top. He really enjoyed his bowl. And yeah, in a world where size does matter, the portions are huge. Solid Hawaiian mix plate. No complaints on the kalua pig with a decent amount of fat to keep it juicy. Minimal smoke flavor but that's the norm these days. The giant lau lau, loaded with luau leaves and a good balance of pork and pork fat. Best part, they don't over salt the lau lau so adding chili pepper water keeps everything in check. Great ahi katsu. It comes with three sauces that jack up the flavor big time. A very powerful wasabi mayo, spicy dynamite sauce and thick sweetened soy reduction that all taste great together in varying amounts on the deep fried ahi. Tip: ask for the sauces on the side. Friendly, local counter service. As the sign on the door states; "aloha required to enter". Cafeteria style self service dine in available.
