A sweet New Mexican restaurant that's sadly located between two well-known Mexican restaurants (El Limon & Xolo Tacos). I had the place to myself on a Tuesday night. The food is delicious and authentic. The Chili Relleno is a roasted chili dipped in egg batter & fried. Stuffed w/cheese, not ground beef (which is wrong!). Chicken Tinga was great w/ sautéed onions added. I'm excited to try the breakfast and come back for a burrito. A little pricey for the taqueria decor but excellent food! read more

Amazing meal. My husband and I both had a chicken burrito, and we should have ordered only one it was so huge. Enough for lunch and dinner! Delicious and well prepared. More authenticly Mexican than most restaurants in PA. We've been so disappointed in other Mexican restaurants in the area, this is definitely the best. Our food wasn't greasy, it was perfectly spiced, and interesting! I can't wait to go back to try other entree options. The service was lovely, friendly and polite. The atmosphere is not plush, but it's comfortable quiet and clean. A perfect choice for lunch, a casual dinner, or take out. Friendly staff who care, although someone needs to tell the main female server to STOP INTENSELY WATCHING the customers when she offers the hand-held credit card device for them to select her tip percentage. She has been doing this since the restaurant opened years ago so they feel pressured into giving her a large tip because they see she is watching them make their selection. VERY poor aspect of what is otherwise a very flavorful menu and good experience. read more

My first time at Las Fridays and the food was good enough that I'd go back. It was very crowded when we arrived and got even busier while we were eating so service was a bit slow but everyone was nice and hospitable. We ordered the nachos for the table. They were good but the cheese on the nachos was a bit grainy. I choose three different kinds of tacos because who wants three of the same kind when you can sample many. I had the Chicken Tinga Street Taco, Suadero Street Taco and a Shrimp Taco. I really enjoyed the street tacos and preferred them ofer the shrimp taco. The meat was nicely cooked and flavorful. My two critiques were that the meat to tortilla ratio was off. I had to rip off the top half of my tortilla because it was too much and not nearly enough meat. And the tacos were a bit dry so definitely needed the salsa verde which we requested. My sons had the Birria Tacos and the Quesabirria. They seemed to enjoy their dishes. The Californian in our group said it was the most authentic Mexican food he has had on the East Coast and the best. They have no liquor license, but treated us to margaritas. Just when you thought the mainline did not need another fast inexpensive Mexican restaurant Las Fridas has come in to up the game. The place is well run and clean. Though part of a chain the servers are friendly, and offer the free margaritas as a bonus. The food is pretty authentic. Tortilla soup and tortas are great. All food seems fresh. The ambience is average even for a very casual place but the food makes up for that. The location is not easy from a parking standpoint in the middle of the block etc. but the food is worth it, just bring a friend so you can pick up. They do need to up their game on the tortillas, don't understand why they don't get one of their workers on their way in to bring fresh tortillas from the city or Norristown, it would make all the difference, a lot more variety and less greasy that Lilly's so definitely put it on your list for fast casual Mexican take out. read more

I'm well versed in mexican restaurants across the main line and this was by far one of my favorites in the area. The food was flavorful, the perfect portion size and very fairly priced. I've tried El Limon and Xolo Tacos many times and left dissatisfied every time... Las Fridas is by far the best mexican restaurant in Bryn Mawr that I've tried.
