It would hurt my wallet because I'd go all the time, but actually the prices are pretty reasonable imo (check my photo) - especially for GF food in this area. Frozen cooler with local gluten free bakeries like Rise and Sweet 27 items. Rows and rows of wine. Stocked full of gelato. I didn't realize they do have gluten items too, so make sure to ask for gluten free menu if you have allergy concerns. My kid ordered a pizza... was a little surprised they use against the grain crusts! I would have probably been a little upset about a basic grocery store crust... but..... we love against the grain We were warned food would take 10 minutes, which was fine.... I really enjoyed the lamb and beef gyro (crispy, well salted), which came with pita, a creamy yoghurt tzatziki, nicely crunchy and lightly sweet onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. The bacon cheese and egg sandwich was a real hit too, and my child demolished it all and relished every bite. Great online ordering platform and the order only took about 20-25 minutes. And, truthfully, many of those lack in taste or flavor. Not Lilit Cafe, we throughly enjoyed our cheese pizza. The pizza is hot from the oven. It was topped with loads of ooey gooey cheese and a delicious red sauce. The crust was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. My granddaughter ate three large pieces. I got the Greek salad topped with Italian meats. It was fresh, crisp, full of flavorful meats, tomatoes, Greek olives, lettuce, and peppers. The dressing was really tasty too. It was a large bowl, but I couldn't stop eating it. Service was great. The people who worked there kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. In speaking to the owner, I was not surprised to hear that the inspiration for Lilit Cafe was a close family member who could not tolerate gluten. I am so happy, that they decided to turn a hardship into a dream come true for people with gluten intolerance. Kudos to them! Insert applause! They have a large wine and beer selection. A quaint restaurant that had a diverse regular and gluten-free menu. They had an impressive gelato station at the entrance and various wine and beverage racks in the back. We were able to nab street parking alongside the restaurant and were greeted warmly upon entering. We were given menus and told to place our order near at the back register when we were ready. Salad was average with thick dressing. *Chicken Tikka Masala: included basmati rice and a side salad. Rice was fluffy and went well with the salty curry sauce. Had lots of tender chicken and the salad cut through with cream and spices. The salad would have benefited from the vegetables being cut a bit finer as the bell pepper and onion slices were on the thicker side. Both dishes were incredibly large and affordable. One nice feature of this restaurant is that they sell full bottles of wine, which you can have with your meal for an uncorking fee. We had lentil soup, chicken vegetable soup, and their crab cake platter. Everything was good, but nothing spectacular ... I would say the crab cake was excellent - full of chunks of crab meat. He also ordered hash browns. Both were alright, they were exactly what you'd expect of an egg and sausage bagel sandwich. I had pretty high hopes for Lilit Cafe and was impressed that they had so many gluten free options, however, I was slightly disappointed by their customer service and attention in general. That was the real damper to dining there. The waiter came by, jotted down our extremely simple order, came back with just the two sandwiches. We waited for a while to see if the hash browns were coming out later. 15 minutes passed and we were almost finished with our sandwiches, so my boyfriend got the attention of the waiter who looked over at us, asked us what we wanted, and just stood there across the room. Did he expect us to yell across the room and ask for the hash browns we never received? We waited until he realized that walking over to our table was the proper avenue, and then we politely asked if the hash browns were coming out. Clearly he had forgotten that part of the order, or someone in the kitchen did. Nonetheless, the hash browns eventually came out. Again, decent. Being a place that serves mediocre food, at the very least, the staff could try being more than just mediocre? But I suppose that'd be asking too much. Overall, solid 3 stars. Food is alright.
