TLDR; Do not hire Lily's /A1 septic unless you enjoy being scammed and overcharged. My property was in need of pumping & septic inspection for real estate sale. I was told there was an extra fee because my particular type of system required a camera scope. After booking the initial service, I get a call back from them stating that I also needed an updated as built drawing. They said that if I didn't do this, it could create potential hold-up or red flag for the county. I'm guessing for this scam what they do is look at the google maps aerial view of your property and compare it to the most recent as built on file. I was told they normally charge $350 for this service but since I was already paying them for other services, I would get $50 off. woohoo, so generous. I also didn't quite know what the drawing entailed and if any special county filing was included.I was skeptical but I let it fly. Two guys show up for the pumping. The buff tank top guy from the website and a smaller dude with tobacco in his cheeks. Apparently more of the system needed to be dug up for the inspection. My husband does all of the digging and they kinda tell him where the stuff is. He gets the d-box exposed and the smaller dude, (Nathan, I think his name was) says that our d-box needed to be replaced as it was deteriorating and he couldn't give us a passing inspection without it. He quotes us $1500 and says he will come back and do it tomorrow morning. I'm obviously shocked to my core as my original estimate for services has now more than doubled. There's no way I'm paying this without a second opinion. So I call a few local, reputable septic companies for a second opinion. One company referred us to the man that they contract out for d-box replacement. I call that guy and it was our lucky day, he was doing something else in our neighborhood and could stop by right after. He confirmed that the d-box needed to be replaced. He also informed us that is a $200 part and we should not allow them to perform the work at the quoted price. He could come back the next evening with parts to help us finish it. Obviously at this point, I am livid. It's already annoying to be paying $1500 for a service that took less than an hour to complete. But then to try and pull a fast one on us like that? Nope. I called the main line right away. I said hey your guy told me i needed a d-box and it was going to be $1500 but I have this other septic company telling me it's a $200 fix. WTF. The receptionist, Tyler, is like well it requires a lot of digging and tried to justify it and also explains he doesn't really know much. I was like okay well my husband did ALL of the digging so there is very minimal labor involved. He was like well you can try asking the field guys but I can't really do anything about the price. So I call Nathan multiple times. And he doesn't answer and his voicemail is not set up. How convenient. I was calling to cancel and tell him to not show up. He shows up later than he was meant to the next day. Unfortunately, I was not home and this guy was dealing with my husband. Bless his soul, my husband is a sweetheart and the nicest person on the planet. People love to take advantage of that. He bullied my husband into agreeing to allow him to do the work for $500 off of the $1500 d-box repair. He convinced my husband that the other guy wouldn't have been able to do the d-box repair for us if he was licensed. He was in fact licensed but my husband wasn't the one speaking with him or the other septic company so he didn't know. My husband didn't want any more complications or hold-ups with the sale of our property so he just let him do the repair. 45 minutes later he was gone. The cherry on top really was that he charged us all that money and didn't even backfill the stupid hole when he was finished. Ah yes, SOOOO MUCH labor involved. I waited a week and had to reach out to them because I hadn't received a report or anything yet. Again, I was LIVID when I saw the updated as built drawing. All they did was reuse the old drawing and scribble out the things that were no longer there. I'll attach a photo of my $300 artwork so you can see the quality of work they'll provide you. What a freaking joke this company is. I will continue to blast this dishonest company on every platform available. I have informed my real estate agent to stop recommending them to her clients. I will make sure anyone in the neighborhood seeking septic services knows who not to call. I honestly don't even know how they are running a successful operation. They are obviously benefitting from taking advantage of people who don't know better because let's be honest, septic systems and inspections are not general knowledge. Shame on you. This was a very expensive learning experience and I hope this review helps you avoid the same mistakes. read more

PROTECT YOURSELF FROM BEING OVERCHARGED. We called and set up a time. They quoted us $525 - minus a Senior discount of $20 = $505 + Tax. I already had the lid exposed before they arrived and it was easy access. They pumped my tank as I stood by and talked to them. I also asked for a quote to replace our "D" box (distribution box). Everything was fine to this point. I don't know if this is common practice - but, Then they used our hose to rinse off their contaminated equipment... spraying SEPTIC TANK RESIDUE onto our lawn and getting residue all over the hose and the spray nozzle.... but didn't sanitize or rinse anything after they were done. They decided to send me the invoice for pumping my tank and include the "D" box quote - (by e-mail). They tried to charge me $150 for excess solids (more than 2 feet) - but - they never mentioned anything about this charge when I booked the service - or - said anything to me when I was standing right next to the guy pumping my tank. Making the bill over $700.00. Their attempt to charge me extra was offensive. I asked the office how they determine if there were EXCESS SOLIDS... since they never measured anything. Was it a visual assessment? Was it a feeling they had? What scientific method did they use? This was just straight up "padding their bill" for unsuspecting and naïve customers. NOW - The quoted price for the "D" Box was grossly exaggerated and misleading and unclear. $2201.18 They quoted $250 (for a Site visit). But they had already been there and looked at everything. They quoted ($75 per foot) to locate and dig up the "D" box. But I had already dug up the "D" box and sent them pictures before they ever came out. They knew that before they ever wrote up the quote. They quoted $1150 for the installation of a new Polylok "D" box. They quoted $300 to hook up 2 lateral lines (drainage lines) And quoted $250 (again) for labor and Installation. Wait.... What...? It was unclear how much they were charging for labor versus materials versus labor again...? (Note: You can buy a Polylok "D" Box for $50.) You too can do the math. Their bid was poorly written and very misleading and unclear. Anything to pad their bill and increase their profits. read more

I live in a rural area. I was upfront when I called and was assured that they could assist me. I needed help with my floats on my pump. (My tank had been pumped in November 17' by another company because Lily's was booked a week out) I was told they'd come Tuesday. I rearranged my schedule so I could be home Tuesday. Then late this evening I get a call from someone stating that they don't come up in my area and haven't since 2009. Oddly enough they came up here in 2013 and pumped my tanks but whatever. I was very pleased with the service provided by Lilly's. As a buyer of a new house I was forced to pay for the pumping, inspection, and as built on our new house because the seller refused. Lilly's was very understanding and did everything they could to make the process easy for me. The guys showed up on time even though they got lost and got straight to work. They dug fast and located my septic lid easily. They did all the work and didn't mind explaining all the processes to me. This is my first septic system. They gave me tips on how to keep things operating correctly and were very helpful in general. When our lender needed to confirm the amount paid they responded timely so my closing wouldn't be delayed. They credit card charge made the actual charge different than the invoice and if you have ever dealt with an FHA loan you will know that all numbers have to match exactly. They wrote a letter of explanation and sent a revised invoice with no problem. I will definitely be calling Lilly's for all my future septic needs. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone in any situation. I called them for my septic tank pumping, it was nearly an emergency situation, as my tank had never been pumped the 15 years I have been here, but after looking at the King County website, I knew which questions to ask before even having them come out. So I called them, and it seems like no matter the time of day, not one septic company in 20 miles of my home answers the phone. And I called at least 15 different ones. Anyway, Lilly's called me and I wanted the best price, but also the fastest service, as my water would not drain from the shower, or the toilet wouldn't flush, so it was not fun. But the county site had all of the questions you need to ask before so it's not a surprise later, I asked if the system has not been maintained is the price still the same, and every time, every company I did talk to was the same, up to the first thousand gallons, so lily's quoted me a price of $450, as long as the lid he needed access to wasn't buried and there was no digging, so I thought I had the right lid uncovered but the first time he came out he marked where the correct lid would be and left. I got home, saw where he had marked and dug out the correct lid, which, come to find out, there are actually two and an access lid for the incoming baffle as well, so, the one I dug out wasn't going to be enough anyway. Anyway, he came out a second time, and I was at work for every time he came out, so I wasn't able to have a face to face conversation with him, it was all through his receptionist. Anyway, I received a message at work stating that he opened the lid, it was full to the top and solid, it was to the point of where most people abandon them and get a new tank, there was garbage in it and he needed $1000 to pump it. Well, I'm not able to answer my phone while at work and couldn't answer my phone right away, but I received another message shortly after the first stating he was there, and willing to do it, but needed the go ahead from me first. I'm actually very thankful that I couldn't answer those first two calls, because in that situation, with nothing working correctly, two kids, and feeling very upset about it to begin with, I may have just told them to do it, since he was there, ready to go, and my septic tank needed to be pumped, badly, sooner rather than later. But, that didn't happen, by the time I had gotten the messages, he had already left. But, as soon as I got home, I once again got on the phone calling other places. Thankfully, one of them answered, and I told her my situation, explained that another guy (Lillys) had come out twice and I hadn't gotten anything more than the location of one of the lids from him, and a run around, my toilet wouldn't flush, my shower wouldn't drain, I was in a bind, oh, and the other guy quoted one price, then jacked it to the moon after opening the tank. Jaime's Septic Services are the people to call, not Lily's. Lily's will quote one thing and then double that and completely jack you around for a week or two first if they can. Jaime's sent someone out that night, yes, THAT NIGHT! To see if he could at least get some water moving for us, he wasn't able to, but made my appointment for the next Monday, which was still two days away, but if it was actually pumped then, I was OK with a couple more days, I was happy that he tried on such short notice, and that it wouldn't be a week or two longer. They showed up Monday, they were there when I got home, I almost cried when I saw that big truck there, I was so thankful, I paid in cash, got a little break on the price for that and he stuck to his word and the quoted price and it was under $500. Even when it was "full from top to bottom and solid." Which, wasn't exactly completely true when I asked about the condition of my tank, there wasn't any garbage, and it wasn't completely solid, full, yes, solid, no. So I think the Lilly's guy was just trying to gouge me for more money and made it sound as scary and as awful as possible. And Jaime also told me how often I should get it pumped and has me on a reminder list for the next time. So, much, much, MUCH better than Lilly's. read more

I needed my septic tank pumped so I gave Lilly's a call. They were very nice and helpful on the phone, and even offered to send me an email of the county records where my septic tank was. The email never came through but I appreciated the offer. The guys came to my house when they said they would and pumped the tank. They were super-friendly and fast. I paid with a credit card, but it was not mentioned to me that this would add a 2.5% extra charge to the bill, so I paid $10 more than I was quoted. When I called about it later, I was directed to the fine print on the bill which I suppose I should have gone over myself before signing, but I would have appreciated a mention about the extra charge, as I would have otherwise paid by check. Removing that surcharge when I called and following through with the septic tank diagram would have earned Lilly's five stars. read more

Everyone I've come into contact with at Lilly's has been great! The girl who answers the phone every time I call is very nice and really knowledgable about septic systems. On several occasions with the alarms going off on our whitewater system she was able to give helpful information about how to open up the tank lids and identfity the problem myself - sounds gross but I am glad to have learned so much about what's going on down there beneath the back yard. She could just have easily scheduled an unneccesary and expensive house call. We've used them twice now for pumping the tank and the drivers were also nice and very cheerful! I called Lilly's because my alarm went off and the person there told me that that they could come out on Monday and check it out and check the board and Floats and if I wanted to instead of paying 190 charge for coming out I could pay 440 and get my tank pumped as well. The guy came out and was really nice and pumped my tank and told me right away that it was probably an electircal problem after checking the main board and would need an Electrician which they refered me to without checking the floats. I have a problem because it was implied that they would fix my problem and at the same time pump my tank, all they did was pump my tank and refer me to someone else... I then called to explain what happend and the owner got on the phone and was rude and talked over me the whole time trying to talk away the problem that I brought up. The common person does not know that they do not have a person on staff who comes to your house to finish the job they started and talking over the customer doesn't fix that.
