Quick response to estimate request and came in person before giving estimate: I needed an electrician to install a power inlet and interlock kit for our newly bought generator. I sent free estimate requests to a few companies and Steve was the only one who came over to look at the site before giving estimate. He found out the location I intended to install the inlet would violate the city code and discussed with me about alternative options. Other companies either gave a quote without asking any questions or gave a quote by looking at pictures I sent to them. None of them found the location problem. 2. Reasonable quote: Steve later sent me an estimate that list cost and a detailed list of job needs to be done. The quote is reasonable comparing to other estimates. （One company's quote was more than three times higher than other quotes! so make sure to get at least a couple of quotes.） 3. Beautiful job done on time: Steve and Josh showed up on time and they did a neat job in a very short time. I really like how they cut the dry wall by small round holes and install the inlet beautifully. 4. Arrange inspection right afterwards: Steve arranged the inspection and informed me in time when the inspector changed the schedule. Having told me on the phone that theyWould jet the drainfield I was surprised that he decided to leave the tank excavated with the lid off to supposedly save me money when I had to call them back because my system was failing. Being a senior citizen and a widow I felt I was being treated this way because I wouldn't know any different. I consulted some friends that have had a lot of issues with their Septic system. And they were shocked to hear they left it excavated and with all the rain. It was first of February. They advised me to call and have them come back and jet the drainfieldand then come then cover the system back up. It had been left open for approximately 2 1/2 weeks and surprise surprise after the drainfield was jetted the system was working fine, so now five months later it's running like a top and I'm surprised to see that I get a letter from the Pierce County health department that I was turned in for a violation reason Septic failure. The guy who told me all the stuff about it failing videoed it before it was jetted when it wasn't quite up to par. And of course he did not come with the guys He sent to do the job so he did not observe the fact that it was running fine. There's so many five star views on this company. I'm sorry to have to say this these things, but I am in the middle of trying to prove that I don't need $30,000 septic system at this time. I'm sure drain beast isn't gonna help me pay for it! very unethical considering I should've been notified in advance not get the letter five months later. The crawl space flooded with 2 feet of water, ruining the water heater and damaging the furnace. I spent $2k getting a new water heater installed and am very worried about flooding occurring again. Less than 2 hours after the water heater company left, an alarm in the garage started sounding. Turns out this is a septic pump alarm that was signaling there was soon to be a backup. I called 10 companies and no one could come out until after Christmas - something I understand but also could not accept because I just paid for a brand new water heater. I headed home to try and figure this out by myself with the as-built info from county records... what a nightmare. I spent about an hour digging where the plans showed my tank but found nothing. I gave up and started to call people again to see if anyone could be bribed to come out on Christmas Eve. I called Ken and he answered right away. I asked if there was any chance he could come out right now and he said he was actually on vacation and out on a beach enjoying the sun. I started to apologize and hang-up, but he stopped me and said he could probably at least help on the phone. Ken spent time dealing with me on the phone and via text message for the next 2 hours giving me awesome directions and explanations about everything I needed to do. Not only did Ken essentially teach me the basics about my septic system remotely, he saved me a ton of money because after it was all said and done, my pump alarm was no longer sounding and I was able to confirm it was functioning properly. Ken did all of this for free, while on a family vacation! I honestly have not been more impressed with a company trying to go the extra mile in a very long time. I contacted Linder to replace my home electrical panel so that I could add two EV plugs in my…read moregarage and prepare for a heat pump and heat pump water heater that would soon follow the project. The bulk of the install process was great and professional. The project hit a snag at the very end when I noticed that the second EV plug was 120 instead of 240. I was told that the panel that was selected wouldn't work with a second EV plug or with the the heat pump devices that were going to come next. That was a shock! I had wondered about this before we started the project. I asked if a higher-amperage panel was required. I was told "that's a big deal and will cost you $20k." There was never a statement that the panel we were going with wasn't going to cover the stated project goals. After the project, I called PSE to get a better understanding of the service they offer to my home. They told me I had been given bad advice and that they could deliver whatever amperage I needed without trouble. The new panel that was installed was 125 amp. PSE told me that they guarantee 200 amps to the home, per WA law. They also said that I ALREADY had 200 amp to my home, so clearly no requirement to pay $20k to get it. I reached back out to Linder with the new information. I proposed installing a higher amperage panel and that I'd pay the bulk of the cost but wanted some discount because I didn't feel like this poor outcome was entirely my fault. They told me that they "don't do work for free", even though I wasn't asking for that. They told me go to talk to Bel-Red Electric if I wanted the issue fixed. That was another shock. I thought that the relationship had gone pretty smoothly up until that point. I guess they had booked a good profit on my project and didn't want to give that up. In any case, I think it is good advice to go talk to Bel-Red electric. I will go do that and explain that I need help in right-sizing my new panel for my project goals. In summary, I have no reason to question the quality of the work at Linder. The install looked super clean and was done quickly. A friend had recommended Linder. He is super handy and would have never got into this problem. He would have calculated his amperage requirements before even calling an electrical company. I don't know much about electrical and was expecting guidance from Linder on how to proceed per my stated project goals. In fact, I asked them about this later. They told me that I negotiated too hard on price and so a 125 amp panel was the only option at that price. That's a really strange way to do business. The panel upgrade cost $7k. Is that a lot for a 125 amp panel? So, if you need help navigating your project and are not too familiar with electrical, you might look elsewhere or end up with the same outcome as I did. I'm just a regular home owner like a lot of people.

Matt came out and investigated, and he and I discovered a number of wiring issues where previous work in this old house had not been done correctly. He corrected it all, including running new lines from the breaker box, through the garage, through the crawlspace, into the lower floor, and up into the upper floor. He was careful, thorough, and focused on making sure everything was done correctly and well. He had to make a few holes in walls and ceilings, but he thought ahead to minimize the work of the handyman who would follow and fix everything. Plus, Matt is just a very nice guy. When it was done, the city inspector came out to give permits, and he was very impressed with the quality of Matt's work. That was very encouraging to hear! Unfortunately the faucets were not installed…read morecorrectly; the new kitchen faucet needed to be purged before insulation, which was not done and caused a blockage in the new faucet. The bathroom faucet wouldn't fit. No doubt after three hours of work it was a valiant effort, but even with a discount from quality one I still had to pay a lot of money out of pocket for new faucets and a professional plumber to finish the job.
