Upon arrival he told me that he would pump both tanks out. We had a misunderstanding on what I was paying for, but was resolved. Understand that if youre septic has 2 chambers, effluent side and scrum side, this will most likely be more than the standard rate. That was my misunderstanding. I didn't read my septic details well and was off on the amount of sewage that needed to be pumped. SSB got me pumped out and clean. Thanks SSB!. With the septic system completely backed up, we couldn't even run the dishwasher. To make matters worse, it was during a snowstorm and on a weekend. We called that morning, hoping someone might be able to help, and this company absolutely delivered. By 1 PM they already had a crew at our house servicing the septic tank. Considering the conditions and that it was an emergency weekend call, the price was incredibly reasonable. The two technicians who came out were fantastic. They were professional, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. They handled a stressful situation with calm confidence and had everything working again much faster than we expected. A special thank you as well to the owner, Mario, who made sure we were taken care of even though it happened to be his birthday. That level of dedication to customers really says a lot about a company. If you ever need septic service, I would highly recommend them without hesitation. They've officially earned a permanent spot on my emergency homeowner contact list.

To my relief, she quickly looked up our as-builts and got us scheduled for the very next day. The following afternoon, a wonderful gentleman by the name of Randy came out to see us, right on time. I can't say enough about how much of a breath of fresh air Randy was! He was extremely polite, beyond cordial, gracious, helpful, and friendly. He took the time to carefully explain everything to us and patiently answered all our questions. He even helped us find an elusive septic cover that we weren't able to locate. He gave us great advice about how we could protect our system to avoid any possible future issues and problems. It was very obvious that Randy was a family man with excellent work ethics, and who took great pride in his work. Randy pumped out our system, including a section that the previous "other" company hadn't bother to pump out. If I had one word to describe Randy, it woud be "AWESOME"! I am so glad we hired McNel's to service our system. I feel very comfortable and reassured that we are in good hands with them. They will be out again in a few days to replace our failing pump. I'm reflecting now from the safety of many miles. It was a memorable day speaking from a sensory level. They are a reliable group with integrity and I cannot speak to the amount charged. We paid without looking at the invoice and regardless would have trusted them with all the details. This will go down in the win column and we absolutely recommend them.

I was told there was an extra fee because my particular type of system required a camera scope. After booking the initial service, I get a call back from them stating that I also needed an updated as built drawing. They said that if I didn't do this, it could create potential hold-up or red flag for the county. I'm guessing for this scam what they do is look at the google maps aerial view of your property and compare it to the most recent as built on file. I was told they normally charge $350 for this service but since I was already paying them for other services, I would get $50 off. woohoo, so generous. I also didn't quite know what the drawing entailed and if any special county filing was included.I was skeptical but I let it fly. Two guys show up for the pumping. The buff tank top guy from the website and a smaller dude with tobacco in his cheeks. Apparently more of the system needed to be dug up for the inspection. My husband does all of the digging and they kinda tell him where the stuff is. He gets the d-box exposed and the smaller dude, (Nathan, I think his name was) says that our d-box needed to be replaced as it was deteriorating and he couldn't give us a passing inspection without it. He quotes us $1500 and says he will come back and do it tomorrow morning. I'm obviously shocked to my core as my original estimate for services has now more than doubled. There's no way I'm paying this without a second opinion. So I call a few local, reputable septic companies for a second opinion. One company referred us to the man that they contract out for d-box replacement. I call that guy and it was our lucky day, he was doing something else in our neighborhood and could stop by right after. He confirmed that the d-box needed to be replaced. He also informed us that is a $200 part and we should not allow them to perform the work at the quoted price. He could come back the next evening with parts to help us finish it. Obviously at this point, I am livid. It's already annoying to be paying $1500 for a service that took less than an hour to complete. But then to try and pull a fast one on us like that? Nope. I called the main line right away. I said hey your guy told me i needed a d-box and it was going to be $1500 but I have this other septic company telling me it's a $200 fix. WTF. The receptionist, Tyler, is like well it requires a lot of digging and tried to justify it and also explains he doesn't really know much. I was like okay well my husband did ALL of the digging so there is very minimal labor involved. He was like well you can try asking the field guys but I can't really do anything about the price. So I call Nathan multiple times. And he doesn't answer and his voicemail is not set up. How convenient. I was calling to cancel and tell him to not show up. He shows up later than he was meant to the next day. Unfortunately, I was not home and this guy was dealing with my husband. Bless his soul, my husband is a sweetheart and the nicest person on the planet. People love to take advantage of that. He bullied my husband into agreeing to allow him to do the work for $500 off of the $1500 d-box repair. He convinced my husband that the other guy wouldn't have been able to do the d-box repair for us if he was licensed. He was in fact licensed but my husband wasn't the one speaking with him or the other septic company so he didn't know. My husband didn't want any more complications or hold-ups with the sale of our property so he just let him do the repair. 45 minutes later he was gone. The cherry on top really was that he charged us all that money and didn't even backfill the stupid hole when he was finished. Ah yes, SOOOO MUCH labor involved. I waited a week and had to reach out to them because I hadn't received a report or anything yet. Again, I was LIVID when I saw the updated as built drawing. All they did was reuse the old drawing and scribble out the things that were no longer there. I'll attach a photo of my $300 artwork so you can see the quality of work they'll provide you. What a freaking joke this company is. I will continue to blast this dishonest company on every platform available. I have informed my real estate agent to stop recommending them to her clients. I will make sure anyone in the neighborhood seeking septic services knows who not to call. I honestly don't even know how they are running a successful operation. They are obviously benefitting from taking advantage of people who don't know better because let's be honest, septic systems and inspections are not general knowledge. Shame on you. This was a very expensive learning experience and I hope this review helps you avoid the same mistakes.

I was told that ASPC does not do septics, but would send a crew out to do a video inspection and do limited jetting if necessary. I got a report from ASPC stating, "Pulled septic lid to try and camera from there in order to eliminate entry to house. Tank was full to the top with water. Went into house. Pulled toilet and used camera to see into tank. Line was completely clear. Filled with clean water. No issues except for broken baffle. Re-set toilet seat and tested. Working great. Cleaned up. 'Customer' requested us to do a check on the septic system assessment and bid by another company. Pipes were clean and septic was full of water (rain will do this also) Baffle needs replaced, but jetting is unnecessary." I knew the house pipes were clear, we just had them cleaned. Why after I told ASPC about the report from the other company, specifically referring to the septic, d-box and laterals, would they do an inspection of the pipes from the toilet to the septic and then claim the "baffle needs replaced but jetting is unnecessary?" They obviously didn't listen to my concerns. Two weeks later, the water is backing up again. Seems like the entire drain field had failed and i need a new septic system, to the tune of $10,000. Time to call Debby. When I called the company, Debby said she told me they weren't a septic company. I understood that, but they assumed the role of a septic inspection company when they said they could do the job. My renter was concerned about the toilets backing up again. I needed some answers fast to put him at ease. The company is unwilling to work with me on their charges. They were rude and wouldn't let me explain myself as to why I didn't think the $287.99 was warranted.
