Andrea is extremely talented and wonderful to work with! From the beginning, Andrea took my haphazard array of pictures and formed a vision of what I was looking for without me providing a lot of guidance. Throughout the months leading up to the day, she was extremely communicative and very easy to work with as we made changes to the plan. I am most appreciative of Andrea because we had to come up with a completely new plan, 2 days before the ceremony, due to heavy rain in the forecast. She facetimed with us to check out the new ceremony location and was so incredibly helpful in coming up with amazing ideas that would decorate and fill a really large white tent without blowing our budget. And she was incredibly honest about what was going to look good vs. not, advising us on where we could best spend our emergency budget. Without her help on those two days leading up to our wedding, I am not sure what we would have done!! The piece of advice I got the most from friends when my husband and I got engaged was to hire a day-of coordinator. Having now been through the wedding and having worked with Andrea, it is definitely advice I will also be extending to other brides/grooms. Andrea was key to the day's success. Two nights before our wedding, the venue emailed my husband and I to inform us that, despite having agreed to provide décor for our ceremony two months prior, they would no longer be providing us with anything. Not only did this mean we were going to get married in front of nothing but a brown curtain, but we had tons of guests in town, many last minute things to still tend to, and no idea where to begin to find an alternative solution. That's when Andrea stepped in. Within hours of receiving the news, Andrea contacted us immediately with a list of ideas she had for alternative decor. Given how on top of everything she had been until then, we trusted her implicitly to create a beautiful space with little direction. Knowing she would be resolving the issue, not only was the weight of the last minute bad news lifted, but the decor Andrea ended up providing for our ceremony was gorgeous. (I'd even go so far as to say better than what we had originally planned with the venue!) Between her last minute problem solving, ability to remain calm during the chaos, and her responsiveness, Andrea helped ensure the day went off without a hitch. She created a detailed schedule for us and all of our vendors, and made sure we adhered to it as much as possible during the actual event. We hired Lily & Mint Weddings and Events for our wedding Aug. 3rd. 2013 for the month of planning. Andrea and her sisters were so helpful and went above and beyond the week of the wedding. She met with us in person, contacted every vendor because my fiance and I were out of the country until 2 weeks before the wedding. I wish we would have hired them earlier because there was so much stress planning the wedding in less than 6 months. Lily and Mint were there for the rehearsal directing everyone and completely broke down the entire wedding and put everything in order for the vendors to pick up the next morning. We originally contacted Andrea for floral work for our wedding, and soon realized we needed a day of coordinator as well. I asked Andrea if she would be up to the task of doing both floral and coordinating, and between her and her team of sisters, they accomplished the tasks as if it were easy. While planning my wedding, something that I found VERY important when dealing with vendors, was that your vendor has good communication skills. Andrea is a lady that gets an A+ in that department. She was on top of everything immediately. Emails were responded to quickly, and if she said she was going to get something done in a certain amount of time, it was done. She was SO reliable. Her floral work was beautiful. I am very happy that she did our floral work. If you are someone that likes using electronic communication to your advantage, she is great at that. Her and I were able to share floral ideas throughout the days via Pinterest and Google+. It made things really easy, and helped ensure that our floral visions were on the same page. She did such a fantastic job with all of the floral, especially my bouquet and bridesmaid's bouquets. She understood what I wanted and executed the ideas perfectly. As far as coordination goes, Andrea and her sisters made my wedding day stress free (well, in all the areas that she could control, haha). Andrea is a very organized person, and very much on top of things, which allowed me to not have to panic about the details of who would be where and when. If you think you don't need a day of coordinator, think again. I thought I didn't need one, and now I look back and have no idea how I would have gotten through the day without Andrea and her sisters. I was able to show up and enjoy my wedding, instead of worrying about the limos, cake, photo booth guy, string trio, the bridal party, decorations, food, drinks, and countless other details that are involved in a wedding day. The only thing that ended up a little in the grey area was the day after the wedding communication, as far as who had what after cleanup the previous night. With decorations and rented items, it got a little confusing with who left with what. Things were cleared up and everything was figured out, but if I did it again, I would be sure to plan in advance with Andrea who should be leaving with what. We are so incredibly happy that we hired Andrea to do our last month of planning. Her coordinating pricing is very reasonable as were her floral design pricing. Early on, we decided we'd try to do our own flowers but just weeks before the wedding, I panicked and wrote Andrea to see if she'd consider doing our bouquet and flower crown. Andrea didn't seem to hesitate at all, which was so sweet of her considering that our wedding was two days after Christmas. Both came out GORGEOUS and oh-so-pinterest-worthy. As for the coordination - I had a very clear vision of what I wanted our space to look like and I was so impressed at how Andrea (with the help of her sister and some of my good friends) was able to help make my vision come to life. Our wedding also had a ton of moving parts (with the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and dancing portion all requiring different locations in a big house) and not once did it feel like we were off-schedule. We were also short-staffed and missing several rental items - all of which I did not find out until our honeymoon. Someway, somehow, Andrea made it all feel seamless! She also helped me follow up with a few vendors who did not deliver what they had promised. Andrea explained that they would function more as "month of" coordinators... but Andrea and I met several times, months before my wedding, for walk throughs at both the church and the venue with the photographers and venue host. I married my husband back in May. We hired Andrea for "day of" coordination about 1 month to the wedding. She really saved us when our caterer pulled out soon thereafter. She found us another caterer who could basically reproduce the menu and actually offer us more when we had about 3 weeks to the day of the wedding. She was calm and personable throughout the process. She truly was on our side and advocated for us when some conflicts developed with the representative of the venue. We could not have pulled the wedding off without her! The wedding planning tip I received most consistently from married friends was to hire a day-of coordinator. It took me a while to come around to the idea but I'm so glad that I did, and that I found Andrea. I had done most of the lead-up planning on my own, and the psychological relief of having someone else emailing vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding was probably worth the (very reasonable) cost by itself. On the day of the wedding, Andrea and her sister took care of setting up decor, receiving deliveries, addressing a vendor parking snafu, and breaking everything down at the end of the night (plus probably other things I didn't even know about, which is sort of the point). I daughter got married at Stinson Beach, CA, in September 2012. We planned the entire wedding by hand, so when it came down to putting it all together, we needed major help. Lily and Mint and specifically Andrea Frenkel were really great for the "Day Of" planning. We met up with Andrea months before the wedding, and she gave us a checklist/timeline of things we needed to consider and organize. She filled in all the gaps and tidied up all the plans so as to assure that we had an amazing destination wedding event. The wedding ceremony was held on the beach with the reception held in the local community center. There were a lot of logistics involved: multiple vendors, musicians and approximately 150 of our wonderful families and friends. Andrea anticipated many of the decisions we didn't realize we'd have to make, was very organized about laying out options, and found many ways to make the wedding planning and day of easier. She was totally on the ball in coordinating with all of our vendors, which we figured we would do ourselves since we'd already booked them. We gave her the contact information for all the vendoe (officiant, Stinson Beach Community Center coordinator, caterer, DJ, Band, and the photographer). On the day of the wedding, Andrea worked her magic and made the day go very smoothly. She was invaluable to help with the little details that exist and went above the call of duty on the day of our wedding! She kept everything running smoothly throughout the day and had one assistant to make sure she could be everywhere at once. What else could you want?
