I came here for the first time in a few years after being a regular at their old location. Pros: one of the only places I know of that consistently does excellent roller sets on all hair types + easily accessible location + aesthetic salon + simple booking process + reasonable prices Cons: it seems the experience is a hit or miss. I've had great service (gentle with detangling, thorough wash, quick styling) and then the next time I come, it's the complete opposite. I do recommend, but with reservation. I would make sure to communicate throughout my appointment how I'm experiencing the service and what my expectations are to make sure I get the results I'm desiring. read more

Wanted to write this review while it was fresh on my mind. For context I have relatively long thick curly hair that hasn't been roller set/pressed since October 2019. I also have color that I get done elsewhere. I had an appointment today with Lily for a hydration treatment, roller set and silk press. I arrived at 10:19 for my 10:30 appointment. I signed in and shortly after I arrived, Rachel introduced herself as Lily's assistant let me know she would be doing my shampoo. I was at the shampoo bowl at 10:27. Y'all. I was at the shampoo bowl before my actual appointment time. I was already in disbelief. Let me back up, the salon itself is modern and bright. They played mellow R&B ie Jhene Aiko vibes. Later it changed to a 90s R&B vibe. Everyone was pleasant and friendly. Ok so Rachel does my shampoo, and starts my hydration treatment. While under the steamer, Lily checked on me and introduced herself. When the treatment was done, Rachel did my rollers and put me under the dryer. She and Lily both checked on me. Now if you've never had this done, the rollers are initially set very tight to help stretch the hair. Lily came and loosened them after awhile. Also the dryer is warm. I had a sweatshirt on and was regretting it. I run hot so I should have known better. I would wear layers so you can wear less when under the dryer and add layers if you get cold. I didn't stay under the dryer nearly as long as I'm used to. My hair takes FOREVER to dry so I'm used to this purgatory so J was surprised and relieved when Rachel came to get me. She pulled the rollers out and put me in Lily's chair. Lily lightly stretched my hair with the dryer, trimmed my hair and then flat ironed and curled it. She was so nice. Very easy to chat with. I was done at 2pm. BEFORE DARK!!! Overall 10/10 would recommend. read more

I wish I could write a review as often as I visit the salon. Well, here is one after my 3rd or 4th appointment at the new location! I am so happy with the location and the surrounding of the new salon. I love the cleanliness of the shopping center and the effortless travel from my Buckhead office! The salon is cozy; decorated well with clean, earthy and neutral touches. Lily's incomparable talent has me coming back without any doubt and reservations going on now for 15 years... Update to my previous glowing review: WARNING... I no longer frequent this location due to the fact they PUT SOME TYPE OF CHEMICAL IN MY HAIR. I can say this confidently due to the fact that after my last visit in October my hair was BONE STRAIGHT when I washed it and wouldn't curl up in the shower!!! When I dried it, it had a loose wave. I have (excuse me HAD) the most gorgeous tight ringlets. Now my hair looks like a cheap wet'n'wavy weave from the beauty supply store. Not only was my hair pattern limp and loose, but the chemical smell was STRONG. My hair strands are fine and if you place any type of chemicals in my hair, not only does it take quickly but my hair will hold onto the smell when I wash it. For the life of me, I cannot pinpoint when they slipped it in (the conditioner????). I don't remember smelling anything off at the time. I wanted to go back and confront them, but what's the point?? I'm certain they'll deny it. The sad part is this is recent! I've been going to Mahlet for over a year with no issues. Why would she do this to me? Does she know the salon is lacing products with chemicals without permission? Sadly, I don't have answers but I can warn others. If you don't care about the integrity of your hair, then go for it or bring your own shampoo/conditioner. PLEASE, PLEASE don't trust them. It's been a nightmare caring for my hair. Shedding...the works... I would have been 5 years natural this upcoming April. I shaved ALL my hair of down to and inch over 4 years ago only to have Lily International Salon ROB me of all my blood, sweat and tears. I'm beyond livid that I trusted them and they betrayed me. This should be illegal...I'll NEVER trust another salon with my hair ever again. LIS was my last hope in finding a great salon and they put the nail in the coffin. read more

This was my second appt. with FEFE for color. My first visit was the color came out perfect, i could not have asked for a better job. With that said, the second visit was not the same. FEFE should communicate more with her clients. The color is much darker than I wanted and my hair feels more rough? I sat with the color processing for and extended amount of time, while the stylist worked on other clients. What about customer service, Like are you ok?, or Ill be right with you! ? My credit card was automatically charged at the end of the service without my knowledge. I was not informed of the total beforehand or that the service would be charged automatically. I feel this stylist lacks personability and did not communicate with me. After my first visit I received soo many complements and thought I had found the one! I am giving this hair salon five stars. Before them I would never go to get my hair because I felt like other salons I have tried in the past didn't really know how to take care of my hair or they would use far too much heat to the point I would have scabs and my scalp would be super sore. My sister went here and referred me to them. I go to this amazing lady named Fefe. Every time I go I have such an amazing experience. Fefe takes really good of my hair she is gentle. If you know me my hair is super thick and very hard to manage. This salon works perfectly for naturally hair and all hair types which I love. Also they take their time in styling your hair and make you feel welcomed. They always check on you and don't have you sitting underneath the dryer but most importantly when they straighten your hair they try to use a minimal amount of heat. Had an appointment with Melki for a roller set with roots straightened. The experience was awful. The stylist complained the entire time about the condition of my hair, how difficult my hair was to work with, and how challenging my hair was. The appointment took over 3 hours and was $30 the suggested internet price. I am disappointed because I had a positive experience here in March. read more

I have such a great experience-every time!! My stylist is always Fefe, and she's very professional and very knowledgeable. I was skeptical at first because I have a lot of hair. Fefe took the time to make sure she washed my hair paying close attention to ensuring there were no buildups. She rolled my hair neatly, and styled it beautifully. If I could leave no stars I would not have even left one. What a horrible and disappointing experience! Made an appointment on line for a consultation with Lily for 230PM. I arrived at 2:30PM on the dot. I was told she would be with me in a minute. I said thanks and sat down. I have never met Lily but I thought the women at the both/station directly in front of me was her based on pictures. I watched her finish up a client at 230 so assumed I was next. Nope, I was wrong. I watched her speak to two women from 230-250 with no rush in what seemed like a consultation. Then she took another client at 2:52pm. At 3PM annoyed and irritated I went to the desk and a stylist came up to help me. I explained I had an appointment with Lily for 230 and I have been waiting 30 mins. I asked what the hold up was. She went and asked and informed me a lily was in a bridal consultation. I was so annoyed, I explained I made My appointment in advance on line to avoid this mess etc. She apologized. She I formed me it would be about another 15 mins. Then Lily's assistant finally appeared, she came over and talked to me. She told me 15 mins more as well. I told her if it didnt happen in 15 mins I was leaving. She went right over to the woman at the booth/station directly in front of me who i suspected earlier was Lily and told her what I said. It was confirmed she was Lily. Lily looked up and directly at me and just continued to curl the clients hair. She had to curl her entire head. At hat moment I realized Lily didn't care about My appointment or my business. I stood up looked at her and her assistant and said it is OK. I am just going to leave. Thank you. No one tried to stop me or offered something off my service. No apology, nothing at all. I wasted time driving to her salon from Smyrna due to referrals from two of her clients. 230PM appointment and left at 315 with the consultation undone. I jad sit in 40 mins of traffic to get home. What really bothered me was Lily never addressed me directly about the wait or issues and I'm was sitting right in front of her which made it even worse. She really didnt care. What's the point of making an appointment on line? My consult would have take. 15 mins. If you can't handle that why should I bother to return? I value your time by being on time and making my appointment in advance but you expect me to wait and wait wait with not even a word? Totally unprofessional and I WILL NOT return. I am confident I will not be contacted by her or her salon about this issue for it to be rectified. The salon looked clean and modern. Staff seemed nice from my very little interactions... UPDATE!!!! Returned after a friend convinced me last week. Went to Eldred for a full service sew in and he was great!! Very statisfied with his services and will be returning to him on 4/13 to wash my weave and style it. My appointment was for 4pm and by 4:05 Eldred started my hair. He was professional and respected my time. Tried to contact Mike the manager of salon prior to my appointment to get the credit he contacted me about after my first poor experience but his # was disconnected and the salon did not respond to my Yelp message. Didn't want to put that on Eldred so didn't even mention it. Great experience this go around and hopefully going forward but I will only be going to Eldred going forward. read more

I am very pleased with Lily International Salon. Lily does my hair and I am always happy with the results. She listens to what you want and responds accordingly. She is very very sweet and accommodating, no attitude at all. My hair is natural, however after Lily roller sets it, my hair bounces and behaves. I try my best to be her first client and am in and out without delay. She has gone through a few assistants, however I prefer it when either she or her mother sets my hair. Her current assistant V is not the best, but she is manageable. I also love the atmosphere of the salon, there is free wifi so I can work while I am under the dryer. Waited to be seen to discuss what I wanted to get done. Waited to get styled. Oh man. Sucked. Wasted so much time. The staff were busy dealing with each other's hair. She wanted to cut my hair because it was uneven due to damage. Uh, no thanks. She seemed more concerned about what people would think of her hairdo rather than what I wanted.
