The service while at Lily Nails was pleasant- the salon is clean and technicians are friendly. However, the tech who gave me my pedicure and manicure this past Saturday might need to borrow some reading glasses.... Once I got home and had my own glasses on, I saw how shoddy the job was. I had nail polish all over my toes and missing on some parts of the nails. I did a gel manicure and the coats are inconsistent, don't cover the whole nail (on several nails but most severely the thumbs), and in other cases the cuticles were also covered with polish. It looked like that time I let my friend's 8 year-old daughter paint my nails around a campfire. I spent two hours and $73 (plus a generous tip before I could see the damage) for this experience. I didn't call this morning to complain mostly because I don't have the time to spare to redo the paint jobs. It's unfortunate that I will not be returning, as they are close by and friendly. read more

Talk about bad service of the only service they're supposed to be good at! The nail polish application was terrible, when I told the lady to correct it she told me I had hit my hand and that's why the polish wasn't properly applied, PLUS she cut me and made me bleed when cutting my cuticles and didn't even apologize !!! I'm another one of the reviewers that has been going to this salon for years; it was Phaidra's until lackluster ownership re-branded it as Lily, and in recent years it's come back to some good ownership and kept the name. The prices are reasonable for the area, especially in a wealthier town like Southborough. The staff are all super nice! I'm not sure what those reviewers below me was saying! If they sent you away because you were busy, they were probably booked for hours! It gets like that at a salon like that because it's GOOD and there's only 3-4 staff on at a time. My nails have always held their polish without chipping and the color selection is very good. There's 3 generations of my family going to this salon and I'm happy I don't have to branch out anywhere else. read more

When I called, the person who picked up the phone was rather rude. I asked if there were any appointment times for three in the afternoon and she seemed irritated that I said this time. Asking me if I could come in any earlier while not being very friendly. But the phone call ended with, "Yeah, I guess that's fine. See you then." I wasn't asked what I wanted to get done, whether it be a manicure, pedicure, or anything. I even apologized and said I didn't have to come in at that time if there wasn't a good time. When I got to the salon I wasn't greeted, which is fine, but I was then told I booked an appointment for a pedicure. Which I did not do. Everyone in the salon laughed about how I didn't know what I booked when, in reality, the whole thing was the fault of the woman who was rude on the phone. When I told my mother about what happened she said, "They are very rude there." Overall, this was just a very negative experience. read more

I've been to Phaidra's about four times, mostly because everyone I know in Southborough goes there and because they're five minutes away from my house. It's a clean little place, with three massaging pedicure spa chairs (heck yes!) and plenty of manicure .. booths? I'm not sure of the correct terminology. When you walk in, it certainly smells like a nail salon. There's a nice couch with plenty of magazines, but the wait's never that long, and there's a TV to watch if you get reeeealllyyy bored. The nice Vietnamese ladies who work there are good to talk to, but I guess it's difficult if you're not good with understanding accents. No worries though, the accents aren't too heavy. Once you're all done, you get to sit down at a table with auto-air-dryers for your hands & feet. Overall, it's a good place to go if you want to get your nails done. The prices are decent, the building is clean, & it's a great location. And Phaidra, the owner, is a really nice lady. What I found to be a little strange is that they occasionally ask you to pay when you're right in the middle of getting your nails done.. I mean, okay, sure, i'll reach into my pocket and give you the money, but you might have to do my nails all over again?! I don't know, it's not all the time, but still. Weird. Anyway, since there are pretty much no nail salons in the area except this one, Phaidra's is as good as it gets. read more

I've been going to this salon since I was little and the manicures have always been better than most places. The previous owner was always very friendly and even remembered me from when I was little. The new owner lowered the prices and was willing to fix nail when I smudged it and was very nice about it. The manicure lasted almost 2 weeks. I will continue to go there. read more

It's the only game in town, which was my original reason for going to this nail salon. I was pleasantly surprised. They always give a very good manicure and have lots of options for colors and various brands of polish (gel etc.). One negative is that this salon advertises that Walk-In's are welcome but it's not true. Every time I've walked in I have been told I need to make an appt. so I don't even bother anymore. If you're going to go, I would advise you definitely call ahead or there's a good chance you'll be turned away at the door! read more

It seems clean and they do have a nice staff. But you never know what price they will charge you. One day they charge you full price and the next time you go in (if they remember you) they charge you less. It is distressing that I never know how much I will be charged. They have a price list but go back and forth on what they want to charge me. I stopped going there because I could get quality work, with the same set lower price, in Northboro or even at the mall in Marlboro. It is a tiny place and it doesn't seem properly ventilated. I honestly get a headache if I am in there too long, from all the fumes. It DOES get very busy in there at times so I don't know why people say it isn't busy. I have had to sit and wait in the past before, just to get a simple manicure. Park in the back of the pizza place. They share that lot and it is easier to park there than on the street, sometimes. read more

Phaidra's was where I experienced my first professional manicure, so I have to give it that. I went there for so many years because it was one of the only nail salons close to my home with reasonable prices. Now, I go elsewhere because Phaidra's is always overly crowded. The staff is rude, though they seem to always remember you which I suppose is a plus. If you are there and Phaidra gets a call, she rushes the rest of your mani or pedi in order to accommodate more guests. When in a rush with no appointment I'd still go there, but otherwise I try to avoid it all costs. read more

I first visited Phaidra nails because I started work close by and found the place to be great! Always have time for a manicure no matter when I call, love the service here! Phaidra remembers my name no matter how long its been since I have come in, and the manicures are fast and come out great, quick in and out manicures that last a week. I am new to the town of Southborough and was looking for a nearby nail salon that was reasonably priced. Needless to say, I was happily surprised! This salon is small and never overly busy. Horrible customer service. I arrived today without calling ahead, and was told "were busy, come back later". No question of whether or not I would wait 15-20 min or if I would like to make an appointment for a later time. Just flat out "leave, we're busy". I don't come here that often even though I live fairly close because the service has significantly decreased since the new owner however many years ago. I miss Phaidras!!!!! Been here a lot since I moved to town last year. Sometimes the manis are good, sometimes they're awful. I got one last week that only lasted 2 days before it was chipping everywhere. Two days. It's so close to my house but I just can't keep going and paying for a bad mani. Pedicures are worth it because I don't need them as much and no one really sees them! read more
