Extremely disappointed. I went in asking for French tip with a green tip and they told me they could do it. When i sat down, she used this pink color for underneath the tip and I said that it is too pink for French. I asked her to take it off and use white for underneath the French tip. She didn't take it off, instead she continued painting them pink. I made it very clear that I was upset with this, because I came in with a clear description of what I wanted. Unfortunately I paid $55 for this, only got $5 off and when I just got home, I noticed that the tip is already lifting and the the nail is bubbling. Very unfortunate experience. I went to Polished for a gel manicure yesterday because I needed a last-minute manicure and my usual place was booked for the afternoon. I'll never make that mistake again. Upon walking in, I was barely greeted by who I believe was the owner. She was so unfriendly and said "what you need?" without even looking at me. I told her I needed a gel manicure and she said "pick a color" as she was walking away. I had no idea where to go to find the gel colors.. I had to dodge a maze of chairs and manicure stations to find them. The gel colors are mixed in among the regular colors and there is absolutely no organization to them. The woman doing my nails never spoke to me, and proceeded to file and wrap my nails to take the existing gel off. As soon as she finished, she started to try to chip the polish off - they had only soaked for about 2 mins so it wouldn't come off. She was digging so hard at my nail it hurt, so I suggested she let them soak longer so the polish would come off easier. Without saying a word, she got up and walked away - all while speaking to her colleagues in a different language. They all turned and looked at me (extremely rude and unprofessional). When she finally returned after 10 mins to take the gel off, it came off no problem (shocking what letting them soak will do). She hastily cut and filed my nails unevenly and the began to paint them. The polish was chunky, bubbling and looked as though it had sand in it. When I brought it to her attention, she just painted it thicker until I told her to stop because she was making it worse. I finally picked another color and proceeded to watch her do the absolute worst job painting my nails. Its uneven, streaky and the polish doesn't go to the edges. On top of all of this, the salon was dirty. There were boxes of junk all over the place, nail dust flying through the air with no ventilation, they did not use a new file or buffer on my nails and the smell of chemicals in there was so overwhelming I left with a headache. I want to go to get my nails done to relax and I left more stressed than I walked in. I will never return, especially since my usual salon is everything Polished is not. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Save yourself the trouble and just do not go here. My nails came out terribly, they were not done all the way to my cuticles and the edges were rough and lumpy. The top coat even started peeling off the day after I had them done. I got them redone two days later at a different salon since they looked like they had been growing out for 2+ weeks. I went back to try to get a refund and ended up arguing with all of the employees for over twenty minutes because they were refusing to give me my money back. They tried to tell me that it is policy that you can't get a refund and only a gift card if you're unhappy with your service, but this is not stated on any of their brochures or the website so it is not actually a standing policy. I ended up leaving without my refund or a gift card because even when I told them I would not be returning so the gift card would not benefit me at all, they continued to refuse to give me my money back. In the end I am out $100 because I could not get my $50 back here and I had to spend $50 to get them redone elsewhere. read more

When we returned their call we got a machine and left a message that we have nothing to discuss, we want the cost refunded to the card we used as we had already gone back to the salon to discuss the situation. The prices have gone up considerably, and the service was nowhere near the quality that it was under previous management. I've been going there for years, but won't be going back again. I really really hate writing bad reviews. I always try to see the positive but I had a bad experience here. I have been doing the dip powder for a year every 3-4 weeks and my nails had gotten strong and long and healthy, the place I normally went to suddenly started sucking and all my nails started chipping after days and it happened 3 times in a row so I decided to try a new salon. I had just had dip done the week before but all 10 nails were broken horribly so they were short. She was very pushy about putting tips on my nails as they were short and wouldn't "look good" and I said no I'll wait for them to grow out naturally. I had called and asked if they did ombré dip and they said yes. I'm sorry but this is NOT ombré. I wish they'd just been honest and said no. Here is a picture of my chunky, thick, globby nails that are not ombré but one color and then another painted in a straight line across the bottom. Also charged 65$ for it when other places charge 35-50$. For 65$ I didn't get any oil on my hands and a 10 second hand massage and I don't get my cuticles clipped and I was left with hang nails. To be fair I didn't tell them I hated it when I left I said thanks and tipped because I suck at conflict so went and cried in my car instead (bad day and just wanted pretty nails to make it better...dramatic I know...#firstworldproblems lol) read more

My first time here I was a little skeptical, it's in an unassuming plaza, but now I love that it's like a hidden gem. I've been coming to Polished for about a year now. It's probably one of my favorite nail places I've been to; everyone is friendly, it's very clean and Kevin does a great job on my gel manicures. I've always been able to schedule an appointment for the time that works best for me and everyone always makes me feel welcome. As far as pricing goes, some of the best in the area in my experience. Horrible place! Please read! I was a loyal client for a while. I made an appointment for 9:30 am. I showed up at 9:30. Waited till 9:40 no one showed up. I made this appointment based on a wedding im going to that evening. The only time i could have my nails done. I left at 9:40. When i called later that day to explain to manager he told me "its too bad, he was in traffic" I said how will you make it up to me and he said Im not. That its not fair to him because he was in traffic. Now my fight with him was I am a hairstylist if I have an appointment at 9:30 I will make sure I'm at my salon at 9 o'clock so that I don't run late for any clients. And if an emergency came up or I was running late I would call the person ahead of time and let them know I'm running late. I drove 40 minutes to get to this place and wasted my whole morning on a day that I have a wedding to go to. He kept arguing with me and was very rude and would not do anything to make it up to me. He couldnt have cared less. Horrible customer service! I then found out that a client of mine went there and her nails chipped the next day and when she went back they charged her to get it fixed, good riddance. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Polished salon in Ashland MA ever since it opened up in the summer of 2015. I have always enjoyed getting my nails done and never had a problem until now! I went today and got my nails done there, I got a fairly new tech and she recommended the dip color! She said it lasts a month and will not chip and is worth the price, I was sold! I normally get my gel color and totally regret why I didn't stick to it. The dip color got stuck to my skin and wouldn't budge off, they don't even remove your cuticle when you get dip nor do they do a lotion massage in the end as with a gel manicure. In the end I was left with dumpy looking and unfinished looking nails with the color smeared all around the skin around my nails( which she didn't even bother to remove saying it will eventually wash off!!!). I honestly could've done a better job at home! My nails did not look like a $45 service, which I ended up paying!! Also in the middle of my service , my nail tech started painting another clients nails( so unprofessional). When I spoke to Tia, the manager ( who is aware I'm a loyal customer since they opened up) she said there's nothing they could do about it! I requested if I could come the next day to have them redone with gel, she said I would have to pay for it!!!! How can they not satisfy a loyal paying customer of 4 years!!! If they can treat me like this then God knows how the treat other non-loyal customers. Totally dissatisfied and disappointed with their customer service!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER LOYALTY! Will not be returning unless they contact me for a complimentary redo( I believe they have my phone number). As someone else mentioned, the employees definitely treat regulars differently than one time customers. I had acrylic nails removed because I happened to be in the area and it was fairly painful, and there are still tiny spots of gel on my nails after the fact. I went here with high hopes but unfortunately had the worst experience with Tony. I was there to get new tips and a gel polish. He was rough on all fronts. He had no training on customer service ..... I ended up leaving after he ripped my nail in half down to the bed. Not only did he not apologize to me, he told me to sit still in a gruff tone! My friend and I decided to get pedicures on a whim and stopped in. We were taken right away, but there weren't enough staff to help us. My friend was nearly done before I got started. That being said, I didn't mind. I sat with my feet in whirlpooling hot water with the massage chair going. Anna took care of me and she was great. She took her time and was just really sweet. They had me sit and soak my feet for almost 30 minutes for a shitty 20 minute pedicure. I wanted the dip powder on my nails when I told Tia I wanted french she said I would have to wait 10 more minutes or pick another color. I rarely make an appointment and just walk in, I usually see whoever is available and am always pleased with the outcome. I love the wide selection of colors. Everyone is very friendly and I've never experienced some of the poor customer service or rushed work others mention. The salon is very clean although I will admit the manicure stations are a little close together but that doesn't bother me. I decided to check this place out since I always drive by it (they just opened three months ago). After reading the reviews I had mixed feelings about this place however it surprised me. This salon is very modern looking, very chic. It's also clean. I came in here on Tuesday night and it wasn't busy at all. I was greeted by a gentleman and later Kim did my toes. She was super nice and talkative! Later, I did a gel manicure with a young lady (I didn't catch her name), she was really good and the nails came out good. The reason why I'm giving it three stars because this salon is pretty pricey compare to the one I usually go to and I find the results comparable to other salons. However depending on how long my nails last, I will consider returning and it is convenient for me. I highly recommend this new nail salon in Ashland/Framingham (near town line). I have been to numerous salons over the past 16 years and this ranks among the very best. What was truly outstanding to me was (1) the individualized attention from some very sweet staff (they actually want to TALK to you), (2) the care and precision in their work, (3) the very clean and stylish decor feels very spa-like. First, Jen gave me an excellent pedicure. She was very attentive and genuinely sweet. She didn't rush me, was very careful in her work, was highly accommodating when my very ticklish feet made it hard for her, etc. I give her an A+. My companion had a mani/pedi by Lin and had equally nice things to say. I then had a gel fill by Tony, the manager. Although a little aloof at first, he proved to be a genuinely sweet person as well and we had some very nice conversations. He expertly completed the fill. His technique is different than others I have seen, but he took his time and his excellent craftsmanship became evident. The prices are comparable to other salons, but you get SO much more for your money. So many nice touches too. A couple of negatives: (1) Greeting at the reception area was dis-coordinated and it wasn't clear who assumed this responsibility. It left a negative first impression. (2) One personal pet-peeve: the hand towels. Although neat, they had the odor that comes from wet clothes that aren't dried right away--musty. Not strong, but noticeable.
