Recently went to Lily's for Sunday football with a bunch of friends and Callie was the best server!

I was in town dropping off my brother around 11pm when I was confronted by one of the bouncers. The bouncer while dropping off my brother began yelling at me for not using valet parking even though I was only dropping off....and when I explained that to him, he then proceeded to threaten me by saying " the next time I see you doing that I'm going to knock you out" which is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL AND ILLEGAL. After the experience of just dropping someone off, I will never recommend this place to anyone looking to get a drink in Babylon village. I'm unhappy that this has to be my first review but I've never experienced such disrespect like this from a restaurant/pub before. I hope the management is able to do something about the attitude of some of their staff. read more

We have been coming to Lilys for years. It's a party scene on Friday and Saturday nights but during the week it is nice to have a sit down dinner or catch a game at the bar. I've never had any issues with their food. The food is not the greatest but it is good bar food. We will continue to return preferably not late on Friday or Saturdays when the real young crew take over for the night. read more

They place has gone down like a brick. Went to lunch zero people at 1:00. Ordered. Took half and hour to get meals. Irish Breakfast and lunch special. Inedible. Burnt to a crisp, bacon, bangers, very hard (under boiled) potato salad, Eggs burnt beyond repair, All the food was salty as the Dead Sea. I returned to the kitchen new one came back just a salty just as burned. My friends food was also awful and sent her fries back twice. I've been a long time and loyal customer, never caused any trouble and always took good care of my bartenders. Since acquiring the new venues and the change of menu, I have noticed some changes in quantity and quality of the food and some of the bartenders have been pouring short. Not to make anything out of it, I went with the flow. Until last week. The pulled pork sandwich was so dry and very little pork at that. After receiving my food, one of the bartenders, asked the obligatory "How is everything?" When I replied honestly, the response was an uncompassionate "sorry! "And then walked away. The next bartender came over to refill my double mixed drink. As he was doing so, also asked, "how is everything?" Of course, I responded the same, and I was "rewarded" with an extremely short tip of the vodka bottle as opposed to a 4 ounce pour. He did it in plain sight as to slap me in the face. I said to him, "Don't you want me to come back?" His reply, " I didn't say that! ". But I knew that's what he meant. So that's just what I'm doing. After all these years, I'm not going back. I know these people for a long time! No one made any attempt to right the wrong. read more

Really awful service. Ordered through Uber eats, restaurant admits to forgetting one item out of three. Does not offer refund, does not offer to redelivery item. Once I come to the restaurant I wait another 10-15 minutes to get the forgotten item. Do not recommend, won't personally ever use this restaurant again. Awful all around. read more

The experience that I had at this establishment was quite obscene. It was me and five friends who had tried to go to this pub. Dressed in collared shirts and all except for one friend we were denied entry because you cannot supposedly were T shirts into this bar. The funniest part of it all was that about 40% of the caucasians in this establishment were wearing T-shirts or baseball Tees. When we asked the bouncer why several of these young adults were able to be wearing t-shirts he had no response. Anyways we still ended not getting in and I believe that discrimination had a lot to do with the outcome. At least the night still ended up being fun as we went down the street to Mary Carroll's and had a nice, fun time. P.S. The 2 star rating is quite a generous rating on my part. read more

I came out here on a Friday night with some co-workers. Thinking this was going to just be a warm up since it was our first stop, we grabbed some beers, some shots, and I ordered a chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was pretty big, big enough to split, and it came stocked with all the sides (sour cream, pico, cilantro, and guaccc!). Being a beer snob, this place looked like it had some decent beers on tap, but everytime I went to order one, it seemed to be out or there was something wrong with the lines...this forced me into taking advantage of the two-fers on Bud Lights that started at 9pm. 2 for $5? Not too shabby! We first got there around 7pm and the crowd was a older and there was a band playing. Somewhere between 9:59 and 10pm, it was a very yound crowd and the DJ started spinning. They also had an outside area which was perfect to hang out on before it got packed. I haven't danced that much in a LONG time!! The DJ killed it, lots of throwbacks mixed in with current hits. Went here today for Easter brunch. First off the service was absolutely horrendous. They could care less we were even there. The food was less than average - potatoes, pasta, chicken, ham and salad. Eggs had to be ordered separately and were not part of the brunch and came 50 minutes after we ate. Waitress came around 2 times, 35 minutes after we sat down to ask if we wanted drinks. Never came around after that. In plain bold English, the service sucked! And for this the bill was $472. Unbelievable for brunch and no service. Save your money there are far better restaurants out there to choose from who are happy to have your business. read more

My favorite Irish pub. Best place to get a Guinness and the food is good too. My favorites are the boneless wings, shepherd's pie, and potato skins. The patio is great in the summer time or just to get some fresh air year round. Fridays have bands followed by a DJ late night and the crowd ranges from young to old. Came here with friends for a night out. So I can only honestly rate this based on its nightlife. The place was decently packed on a Saturday night. There was a $5 cover which wasn't bad. However, a vodka cranberry was like $7. Maybe I'm spoiled from the like $3-4 drinks at college but I thought that was pretty pricey for low shelf liquor. The dance floor was decently big adjacent to a side bar. I would say the age group there that night was 20's maybe 30's. The music started out good but honestly just got bad towards the end of the night. This was my first time out in Babylon and it was just ok. If I do come back, maybe there will be a different DJ or atmosphere. read more

I have been to Lily's in the past but during the "nightlife" hours. This is my first time actually eating here with my girlfriend and the Shepherds pie was very good. We came here hungry and are very satisfied. The atmosphere of the place is nice as well and very nicely decorated and lit. I would definitely come back. Until 9:30 and they pick up the chairs, turn off the lights where you're sitting and tell you to stand because it's turning into a nightclub. I guess the receipts say this is the way to go. I've been here for drinks to watch a game, as well as for a sit-down dinner and I've even come -regretfully- for late night dancing and drinks. When I came to watch a hockey game and have some beers, it was a Thursday night I think and the bar was pretty empty. We were served attentively and the beers were cold. No complaints at all. My group pretty much had the place to ourselves, which was odd for playoff hockey, but fine by us. They had some decent happy hour prices! When I came for dinner, food was nothing to brag about, but was good. We were here for a birthday and the cocktails were fun. I suggest trying one :) And lastly, when I came on a Saturday night with a few friends, I wish i never had. It was all underage college kids using fake ID's. I guess there's no way I can know that for sure, but as a person in her young 20s, I have a good idea of when people are significantly younger than me and shouldn't be in a 21+ bar I'd come back before 9pm on any day though! read more

Was there last night with some girlfriends for our holiday dinner. The waitress was amazing, great service and the food was phenomenal. Place was also decorated so nice for the holiday an we were able to get a nice group photo in front of there big Christmas tree. After dinner we sat at the bar and had a night cap, male bartender was very nice an suggested a cookie martini. Delicious drink and he was very friendly. Will be back again! read more

I'm writing this review strictly having partaken in the after hours scene for several years. I have come here for years, usually on the weekends with friends. The weekends are usually host to a younger crowd (between 18 and 25.) There is always an awesome DJ and the place gets packed out. There is always some kind of drink specialty deal happening, and despite the size of the crowd, the bartenders do a very good job of being attentive to customers. Sadly for me, I think I might have to start partaking in the earlier hours here and awesome dinners I hear about, because I think I am approaching the age where I am too old for the weekend crowd :( I think the cool thing about Lily's is that they do somehow reach a wide age range of people. I have come here as a 21 year old and bragged about what a great night I had, and my parents in their 50's also have come away bragging about their great night at Lily's. Again, I cannot speak for the dinners and early hour occurrences. But, if you're in your early - mid twenties and looking to have a fun drunken night with lots of dancing and strangers to meet, this is your place! I've never had a bad night here. I deduct one star because the female bartenders have a tendency to talk down to their customers, even when you are not being a drunken, annoying mess. read more

I go to Lily Flanagan's all the time, but not for the food. Lily's is a great spot if you enjoy night life. They always have awesome DJs and drink prices are the same as every other bar in Babylon (a little expensive). Lily's has 3 bars inside which makes it easy to get a drink if you can fight through the mob of people they cram in there every night. They have an outside section which is a little too small , but still very nice in the summer. I haven't mentioned the food at all because it doesn't deserve a mention. Wings and apps on a Sunday for football is as far as I go into this menu. read more

This has been a favorite lunch spot for several years. I'm a big fan of the shepherds pie and fish and chips! My fiance and I were having lunch there one day last year when we looked around and realized the decor was perfect for our wedding in the planning stages. We made inquiries, saw the catering menu and party room, and booked within 2 days. Our Pirate wedding was this past weekend and we were not disappointed on any level! Robin, Lauren, Karina and the rest of the staff were a joy to work with. They were able to accomodate almost every request we made, and had very good explanation when they could not. (They were pretty minor things in the big picture.) On the wedding day, the staff did an awsome job from set up to wind down. The food was excellent. I haven't heard one complaint from any of my guests about food, drink, or service. It was a little warm in the room. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone considering it for a small wedding or similar event. read more

Finally got a chance to eat here and we were very pleased. The Gouda fries were delicious, my husband said his burger tasted amazing, and I got the bang bang shrimp which was also amazing. I did the bottomless mimosas for only $15. I only had time for 2 drinks but they were strong and 2 was all I needed which is nice since most bottomless drink specials are all juice and no booze. LITERALLY NEVER OPEN A TAB HERE. I went here tonight and got charged for drinks I did not have. When I asked to speak to a manager he basically told me I wasn't going to get refunded because 'my friends charged their drinks on my tab.' Meanwhile one paid cash and the other had her own tab. When I said I wanted a refund I was rudly told 'not going to happen' and I needed to call back the next day to get back money I did not spend. I had three drinks and got charged nearly 70$ for cocktails I did not have. Not only was there poor management and little concern for a regular customer, they basically pocketed money they stole out of my wallet. Honestly im disgusted. read more

First it was a Saturday night and they force you to valet park, the place was dead maybe 5 tables that's it and my wife is handicapped so waiting for our car is not an option as far as im concerned and they set up there chairs in the handicapped spot. ...... Next they brought over 2 rolls for the two of us using 2 dishes, no bread basket with 2 dishes and they were stale warm but hard as a rock almost broke my teeth..... I ordered seafood chowder and shepherd's pie. the chowder was the only good thing brought to our table. the shepherd's pie was dry and to me its kind of hard to mess that up but they did. the wife had a chicken dish that was supposed to have Prosciutto in it, but it was made with corned beef and then the waitress said oh no its made with Prosciutto, well it wasnt. service wasn't that great had to wait awhile to place an order. my guess is they are not doing well so they are cutting back on things and swapping out ingredients with cheaper ones hoping no one will notice. well we noticed..... the only other good thing that night was the irish music which I love. looks like the last time we will go there, I will take the 1/2 hour drive to islip next time to the best irish pub on the island in my opinion...... read more

I booked Lily Flanagan's for a private party with about 60 people and it was an awesome experience! The room was really nice, perfect size. The food was very good. Lauren, who sets up the private parties was so nice and so helpful, always quick to respond to whatever weird questions I had. The manager Nuala that worked the party itself was also super nice and helpful. That staff was great. It was a surprise party and everything went perfectly. And the pricing is awesome too. All in all I was very happy and so were the party guests! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a private event. read more

The ribs were very good. The people were very nice. The corned beef was really boring; no flavor, cabbage was undercooked and chewy and the meal came out cold. Seems odd that an Irish restaurant can't make corned beef and cabbage. Did see some other food coming out and the wings look delicious. I would try it again, but not for Irish food. read more

Came to this place on a night out with my friends to some really aggressive bouncers for absolutely no reason at all. Simply gave them my ID, and was let in fine, but they could not have been more rude or arrogant about it. They had been outside talking to a bunch of young girls the whole time as well (Makes me think they were acting this way to impress them). Either way apparently this bar has an extremely dumb dress code and you can't wear hats?? My friends and I had to put them in our waistband the whole night because we had no place to put them. Makes absolutely no sense because nothing about this place was elegant. I understand in a nice bar to adhere to something like this, but it smelt like a college frat house basement and the floors were soaking wet the whole night. It was hot and sticky and gross and just not a good time. The lights on the dance floor were also wayy too bright. I've been to music festivals and seen some bright lights, but this was like staring at the sun. Just really not pleasent when you're fighting off a seizure the whole night while trying to dance. There were definitely a lot of underage kids at this bar as well. For a $10 cover I guess they let anyone in. The only decent part was that the bartenders were good and got the drinks out quickly. But the bouncers being absolutely awful at their jobs and totally disrespectful made this an absolutely horrible end to the night. Fix the stupid dress code, get some better A/C, fire those bouncers, dim the lights a bit, mop the floors and fix the smell and maybe i'd consider going back. It's a shame they had a good crowd but we were all extremely annoyed leaving. I never write yelp reviews, but this was just flat out one of the worst nights out that I've ever had and felt that others should avoid it in the future. read more
