We loved everything about this restaurant! It's big with a big open parking lot. The free bread basket has a great variety and they will give you more for free. The ambiance is great, feels like a cross between a nice American restaurant and a steak house. The service was also prompt and very friendly. Our red wine and Guinness were good and decent portions. The salmon O'Brien was amazing. The sauce was amazing and I loved everything about it. The filet mignon as well. It was nice too how they came with a free small Caesar salad or garden salad. Beautiful restaurant and event space that offers traditional Irish pub food and great drinks. I've been here a few times but most recently for lunch with my aunt. The venue is beautiful - looks like a sizable cottage from the outside with a traditional interior including spacious rooms for large groups and a full bar. Our waitress was very nice and checked in frequently to make sure everything we ordered was to our liking. In addition to their regular menu items they offer some great specials, of which we ordered some. We got an order of the Clams Casino Royale - buttery, delicious and perfectly baked. We also got their soup of the day - a creamy spinach & crab bisque which was outstanding. And for main course I ordered the cold lobster roll with sweet potato fries. The entree came with choice of green or Caesar salad which was also particularly good. My only critique was that I asked to have my leftovers wrapped up. The person who took my plate asked if I wanted what was left of my lobster roll. I said yes. When I got home the container only included my sweet potato fries which was a bummer. Despite the miscommunication about my leftovers the experience was still a good one and I'll continue to frequent this restaurant as my family has gone here for many years. read more

Met my cousins here for a late lunch. Beautiful interior, with a separate area for catering, which I'm sure is pretty as the entrance to it is beautiful and provided a nice backdrop for family photos. Anyway, the hostesses were friendly. Large menu with many choices, and our original server was a little hurt, but I think it was because it was the end of her shift and she was done lol a gentleman who became our server was friendly, attentive, and professional. Amazing place! Best food and service I've ever had. Me and my parents came here, on Labor Day weekend. It was packed. Originally, we tried going to two other restaurants, but they were packed to capacity; and of course...no reservations were accepted. The Irish Coffee Pub, is near where we live. We gave it a shot. Why not? It turned out to be a great experience.Me and Mom had the strawberry mocktails. It was an amazing beverage with fresh mint, strawberries and seltzer water. Simply amazing. My mom had the best Halibut fish platter. It came with a green salad and mashed potatoes. I ordered the fish and chips. It also came with a salad. The cod was perfectly fried and seasoned. Crispy and flaky. The tartar sauce reallyc had a nice touch of horseradish on it. My dad had a crab and cream of broccoli cheddar soup. For me, the highlight of the dinner, was the Mango sorbet. Light, refreshing and also very creamy. I would like to try the raspberry sorbet, next time. The ambiance was chatty and lovely. There was also a pianist, providing lively music for entertainment. Not the best steak this time around but still a good experience. We needed to push the reservation one hour on a Saturday and they were very accommodating. Quickly seated, too. Our fried calamari was great and love the house salad. Just be sure to ask for your favorite dressing as they bring out a standard creamy one that I don't like. My steak this time around wasn't the best. It was definitely overcooked and my tough to cut which was a bummer as it was phenomenal last time. But my husband enjoyed his dish and my daughter enjoyed her chicken parm. The ice cream that came with her meal was fine. The chocolate cake was nothing to rave about. read more

We had a small family birthday party and were disappointed. The food was delicious not an issue. The service was horrendous. We were promised the room at 4:15 and they didn't clear out the previous party till 4:30 and were still setting up the bar at 5:10 when our guest of honor was expected arrive. Bar service was sporadic and getting anything from the servers was impossible. They cut the cake small handed out pieces then failed to make the cake available for anyone to eat more and top it off the bartender was eating cake a huge piece at the bar. Ok so we had cake however COFFEE goes with cake it shouldn't have taken them 30 minutes after serving cake to get our guest coffee. Then to top it off the cookie platters that were included were sad. 1 red velvet cookie surrounded by 6 chocolate chip cookies 1 plate per table. I'm surprised because I've been here before and never had such a unfulfilling experience. They left us having to get up and continuously ask for refills and missing items. I'm disappointed and don't recommend them for a party. As an addition to the story after they read my review they called and apologized and fully addressed the situation to our satisfaction. read more

On a recommendation from a friend I had lunch today with my mom at The Irish Coffee Pub. The hostess was friendly and welcoming and sat us immediately. Our server Mila came over and welcomed us as well. We ordered some soft drinks and after a few minutes decided on our food order. We had the potato soup served with Brown bread. Caesar salad and entrees were a special of the day fluke oreganato and from The menu grilled sea scallops. Both were served with rice and vegetables. Everything was delicious. Service from Mila and ambiance were excellent. Add this to my list of I will return!! PS. We arrived at 1215. By the time we were leaving at 145 the parking lot was filled. Attended a medical conference in a nice room of windows set up for about 50. Multiple rooms that looked as quaint as grammy's tea room. The staff handled the group with ease as this seems to be a popular venue for groups & gatherings. Large parking lot, right off the highway. The standard chicken beef fish choices were prepared nicely and looked quite professional plated. Nope. I was expecting a small pub. Nope. A beautiful restaurant. A great looking bar. A variety of room sizes. We were in a room that nicely accommodated the 18 in attendance. The service was really nice. The waitress that was running the party was very nice, accommodating and professional. The young waiter helping her was very polite and professional. The food was great. I started with a potato soup - really very good. I'd like a bowl of that a few times a week. A Caesar salad was next to- it was a Caesar salad. Tasty but nothing amazing. My main course was a Prime Rib. I requested and received an end cut - very very good. I don't eat beef very often - but this was really worth it. Dessert was a really nice piece of cheesecake. A really nice meal. I forgot to take photos. Nice bathroom. Plentiful parking. Looking forward to returning one day. read more

I went to meet girlfriends for a Christmas get together this afternoon. Two were from Nassau County , I m local. Server David was great n kind. Crab cakes were dry n over cooked, soup was terrible n I saw no sign of lobster in it. My meal , braised beef was cold , dry n very little gravy , mashed potatoes were ok with only 3 carrot slices. The best part was the lemoncello cake.They made us rush as we had to be out by 2:30. Funny as no rooms looked full! I wont ever go back to this restaurant. Absolutely perfect dinner for four in a Wednesday night . The room is lovely and inviting. Waiter Jacob was outstanding and made sure we all had everything we needed to enjoy the meal. Perfect dirty martini, delicious corned beef and cabbage for me, and 2 guests enjoyed the salmon. My partner enjoyed a chicken dish. All the meals were brought to the table hot and placed in front of us simultaneously. Very impressed with the care the staff took to get hot meals to the table. The bread basket comes to the table first, filled with scones and brown bread like your Irish grandmother would make. We crowned the meal with a trip to the bar for Irish coffee. It's been a while since I've been to the Irish Coffee Pub. I've been there many times for catered Holiday Events and it was always spectacular! They also have a very nice bar when you first walk in . Besides catered events they have a main dining area . This was my first time having dinner here .The room is wonderfully cozy , the mellow lighting and the lit fireplace gave it a warm comfortable feeling . Everyone is so attentive and professional . Our server Denise was very friendly and pleasant . She kept coming back to check on us if we needed anything else and to ask if we were enjoying our dinner . And yes we were , it was so good ! We took our time ordering , chatting and enjoying our evening and never once felt rushed . After ordering our drinks they came by offering some delicious dinner rolls and scones . We all ordered the special , Chilean Sea Bass scampi combo with clams and shrimp , which was delicious , served with your choice of baked or mash potatoes , vegetables and a Garden or Caesar salad . I had the mashed potatoes , they were so creamy and nicely seasoned . Everything was very well prepared and the fish was perfectly baked , tender and flaky ! The prices are a bit steep but once in a while or for a special occasion it is worth it . They never ever disappoint. From the onset, their staff are all so friendly & attentive but not overbearing. Their homemade baked bread & scones are all delicious especially the soda bread. Love their Jumbo Shrimp Guinness which comes with steamed veggies & choice of potato. This time I chose for the dipping sauces...cocktail sauce, tartar sauce & their lemon beurre blanc which were all soooo good. Had no room for dessert but they do have a wide variety to choose from along with various coffees. The restaurant itself is really nice with many different rooms within. The Irish Coffee Pub recently hosted my parents 60th anniversary party. From start to finish the level of service and competence was unsurpassed. My mother made initial contact with Steven. At the time of her inquiry she had already unsuccessfully attempted to secure a venue for the event at several establishments. From their first conversation Steven assured her that everything would be taken care of and he went above and beyond to deliver on his promise. My parents were in Florida and were unable to deliver a deposit from that distance. Steven insisted the date was secure and there was nothing to worry about. He advised my mother to review the menu in advance so she was prepared to plan the remainder of the details. When my parents met with Steven he could not have been better. He asked all the right questions and gave my parents great guidance choosing the menu. He asked if there would be children attending, and informed her there would be a kids menu available for them at no additional charge. After the menu was completed my mother had concerns about one of her choices. Steven made the change to the menu without hesitation. He did a great job of recommending seating arrangements based on the number of guests and the layout of the room. When the day of the party arrived Patrick oversaw the event. Patrick continued Stevens excellent level of service throughout the day. Everything was absolutely perfect. Every request was met without issue and Patrick and the staff were happy to accommodate. The staff was absolutely perfect. From the servers to the bartender everyone was professional, accommodating, and genuinely contributed to making the special event a wonderful experience for my parents. It obviously goes without saying that I highly recommend the Irish Coffee Pub for any event. Their level of service absolutely can not be matched for any event that you may plan. read more

Okay I was totally misled by this name because it certainly did not feel like a pub. I came here the other day for a bridal shower and contemplated dressing up because I thought it was an actual pub. To my surprise, I was guided through this maze of various different banquet halls and ultimately got to the room for the shower. It was a beautiful, brightly lit dome shaped room, surrounded by a bunch of windows. The down-side, (upside for some people) was the fact that the acoustics in the room was absolutely WILD. You could hear everything that someone is saying on the opposite side of the room, crystal clear, as if they're speaking into a microphone. It was super bizarre but kinda cool too. I was able to join in everyone's conversations with my back turned so gossipers beware! On a more important note! The food! The Caesar salad was delicious and I finished most of my plate, which really says a lot because I hate eating salad. Throw enough dressing on and I'll consider it. I ordered the herb crusted salmon and it was very tasty! It had just the right amount of fat in it and the sauce that came with it was a nice tangy addition to salmon. I ate every bite of the salmon, even though I was stuffed from my appetizers. I can't speak for the price since I didn't see a menu but taste is fantastic.
