I needed a gel removal and a manicure, so after seeing the ratings of this nail salon, I decided to give it a try. I should've read into the reviews because there's only a few recent reviews and most were from years ago. I called in for a same day appointment, I arrived about 20 min early and they were able to take me in. Thanh started the removal process and I noticed immediately that there was still a lot of my polish not removed yet. I pointed them out and she said she'd get back to them later. She continued with the filing and cuticle cleanup, but the filing of my nails were uneven and raggedy. I didn't say anything yet, didn't want to assume she was done. She proceeded to buff my nails, and then took out the polishing tool. She was about to add cuticle oil on, so I knew she was wrapping up my manicure as I've gotten many manicures in the past, but she still didn't remove the remaining bits of my nail polish and my nails were not filed well, I asked to file the rest of my nails and pointed out each part of my nails with nail polish still. Instead of being honest; she began to make excuses and this was a very frustrating experience. I would not come back to this location!! read more

I have been enjoying the quietness and availability of this place. I usually call and get an appt fairly quickly. Started off with pedicures only, so I've been here about 4 times at this point. I added eyebrow waxing in one of my visits. It was ok so I tried again today and it went downhill. I asked to keep my natural arch, my brows aren't the thickest but it had shape. I pointed out after the wax, the owner gaslighted me and said I did not have hair there. She told me to fill in. I came in and was greeted with a "hello" and sat in the waiting area for maybe 5 minutes before they asked if I was getting a pedicure and began the water. There were two women on my right, one of which was just about finished and another one that ended up deciding to get one as well. I was already soaking my feet and they started on her first. I have been sitting in a pedicure chair, soaking my feet for the last 45 minutes. $40 w/o tip for gel pedi. I called around 2ish on a Tuesday and asked if she could take me in 10 minutes, which she could. I picked a sparkly purple gel and she suggested layering 2 different shades of sparkly purple, which I ended up loving. I asked if she also had time for a gel mani - she didn't, but suggested coming earlier in the day in the event I'd like both done. Nice calming music while she worked, I parked in the neighborhood but saw a spot on the street right in front as I was walking up, so don't think parking's an issue here. She takes card, though I suggest bringing cash for tip (though there is an option when signing to add it). I wish she offered dip powder for manicures but overall I will definitely return. read more

Gel nail polish lasts the longest than any other salon. They also have organic dip. Leg massage was the best. Accommodating and friendly.

She took her time & did a pretty job. My only complaint is when I asked her the price and she hesitated & said 45$ for just a basic gel pedicure .i see in a different review she only charged them 40$ which is disappointing because i also gave her a 5$ tip. Maybe she thought I wasn't gonna tip? Either way i don't like being up charged it doesn't feel good. And it said on the menu 35 but i didn't want to start an argument would just rather make a note that she changes her price based on maybe looks? If it really is 45$ for just a basic white gel then my apologies but I think the menu should be updated! read more

I was in the neighborhood a few months ago and needed a pedicure. Yelp led me to Lily's, and she is now my go-to spot. The quality of her work is excellent. I also like the fact that it's a one-woman show. Lily does it all, so there is generally only one customer at a time in the space. She's friendly but not nosy, which I also really appreciate. OK ... so here's the truth, i was hesitating to write this review, because i don't want everyone to go there and then i can't get an appointment :) BUT I have to rave about how great this place is! I can't be too selfish, i guess. I found this place a little over a month ago and I've been back every 2 weeks ever since. Lily is amazing! Not only does she do a great job, but she's also super sweet and friendly. We chat all through my appointments! Then she leaves me looking at my nails all day long because i love them so much. I usually only come to San Leandro when dropping my dog off at the veterinarian's. As was the case today...and I had some time to kill. She informed me she'd first get my pedicure out of the way since she had an appointment aft 10:15am and I'd wait to do my manicure. Luckily enough the 10am cancelled and I got both mani n pedi. Long overdue but I made several same day appointment and Lily took me in for a mani/pedi. I am really happy with the outcome of my nails. I came in promptly and she was wrapping up one customer ahead of me. I chose a very basic color and shape for my nails. She has done ombre nails for me but there was one design that I asked for and received something similar. So be mindful about what designs you are asking for. Overall, she's still careful with my hands and feet. It is street parking but not too difficult. I love that her small shop is really clean and feels like "hers". She was very friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted. Her service was amazing. She took her time and did not rush my service even when her next client arrived. She was so careful and considerate of a really bad cut I had on one of my fingers. She was gentle and did not file off my skin. Pedi 5/5 Mani 4/5, just because she got too close to my nail bed and cuticles a couple times Maybe I usually get ballerina shaped but this time I got square shaped so it left me feeling a little thick? Lily did a great job for my birthday manicure and pedicure. She's super attentive with any questions or concerns and she receives constructive feedback very well. I unfortunately don't have a fresh picture of my set, but they're still holding up great 10 days later. Lily really took her time and pampered me at her salon: she wouldn't even let me put my own socks or shoes back on, lol! And her foot massage skills were top tier. Unfortunately, I'll never go here again. I called this morning for an appointment. The woman who answered asked what time, and I replied I'd be there in 10 minutes, and I asked if that would be okay. She said something to another person and then said to me, "yeah yeah yeah, okay we'll see you then". I arrived at the salon at 10:15am (they open at 10), and was asked by the woman there, "Can I help you?". I said, "Yes I just called for a mani and pedi". She literally raised her voice and said, "NO NO I TELL YOU WE ARE SO BUSY THIS MORNING, YOU MUST TRY AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON!". I was shocked...there wasn't one other person in the salon. I reminded her that I just called about 15 minutes earlier, and she had told me to come in. She yells at me, again, and says they are busy all morning and that I need to try again later. Its a shame because I came here 3 weeks ago and the work by Lily, the younger woman, was quite good. Because of this experience, though, I cannot come back - what's the point of making an appointment if you're refused upon arrival, told that YOU misunderstood, and are looking around at a completely empty salon? What a joke, definitely not worth the money for terrible "customer service". read more

I made a last minute appointment (through Yelp) for a gel mani, pedi and eyebrow wax and Lily was very responsive and was able to take care of me that morning. The salon was clean, relaxing and Lily was very patient and thorough in her work. Nothing felt rushed and she was also very friendly to talk to! My nails and brows look great and I enjoyed my visit! As the staff here is small (I believe Lily and another person), I would definitely recommend making an appointment in advance to ensure a spot! I've driven by Lily's Nails dozens of times and after not having had my nails done in 1.5 years decided I needed some nail maintenance. Called Lily and booked an appointment for a few days out, was quick and easy. When I arrived I was so surprised by how clean and new the facility.looked compared to the exterior. Lily was so kind and did an amazing job on my nails, gave a great leg and hand massage and let me stay on after my nails were done to relax on the massage chair.
