Ok, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. That's a first for me of all the reviews I've given. To me, customer service is the absolute most important thing when running a business. What's customer service? Of course it's being pleasant and friendly and welcoming. But it's so much more than that. One of the first things Lily asked me was, do you want me to be nice and tell you what you want to hear or do you want me to be honest? Of course I am there because I'm having a problem (starting to age). So I want her to lay it on me and tell me the truth! She took pictures of my skin while examining my face and showed me up close everything I suspected anyway. My skin is that of a 45 year old. I'm only 35 years old! But I knew it. I have never taken care of my skin, played out in the sun for years and led a less than healthy lifestyle. The next thing she did was explain how to reverse this now. I'm still young. I'm not near menopause yet. I have time to start a healthier routine for my body and my skin. She told me everything she was doing. She explained how, what and WHY. She told me how I can live a better lifestyle. Eat better. Get more sleep. Dont smoke. She even talked about being happy and stress free, let things go. It's really indicative of her personality. When we first met in her waiting area we were trying to figure out how we knew eachother. It finally came to me later. I remembered her from a long time ago, I had just moved in the area and was trying out a new nail salon. Well, in she walkes and lit up the room. Everyone was happy and knew her by name. That stuck out to me and it was one of those moments you tuck away and never think about again, I guess unless you were to run in to eachother like I did today. She is KNOWLEDGEABLE, personable, and takes her time. You just dont find that anymore, truly and honestly. It's a rare thing! I highly recommend Lily's Spa and have made my next appointment already. I first started seeing Lily when I was a young teenager. She was the very first masseuse I ever went to, and I was nervous back then, but she immediately made me feel safe and comfortable. She took her time explaining everything, checking in with me, and making sure I always felt okay. From that very first appointment, I knew she was someone I could trust and all these years later, she's still the only person I trust in massage. Beyond that, she offers an amazing skin service. I used to be on medication for acne, and after just one visit with her, everything shifted. She really looked at my skin, talked me through what she was seeing, and recommended natural, healthy products that ended up making a huge difference. My acne improved dramatically, and I was able to stop my medication because of her guidance and knowledge. I can't even explain how grateful I am for that. But honestly, what keeps me coming back isn't just her expertise -- it's who she is. Every visit feels like catching up with someone who genuinely cares about me. I love hearing her stories, and she always makes space for mine. She brightens my entire week every time I see her. My daughter went One On One Day Spa aka Lily's Day Spa on Western Branch Blvd.about 3 weeks ago for a facial by Lily and she will NEVER return after how she was talked to by the owner. My daughter told her that she will be starting soon going to an aesthetic school in Virginia Beach. The owner, Lily, told her that no one would take her seriously because she has acne. She also told her that she wouldn't take her seriously either. I cannot believe anyone would say something so cruel to anyone, especially the owner. You can't get more unprofessional and insensitive than the way she treated my daughter. I will spread the word about this and highly recommend they go elsewhere. Lily is one of the most talented masseuses I have ever had the chance to meet. Her knowledge in her craft is amazing. I have been coming here for some time now and will not go anywhere else. Just had another session last night, and for the first time got to try Cupping Therapy for the first time. I will add this to my regular routine for future visits. Lily's Spa Room is a treasure in Portsmouth. I called after reading all the wonderful reviews and Lily made an appointment for me later the same day. Her space is inviting, warm, clean, organized and it smells so good. I was a mess going in: knotted tight muscles, depressed, and had a headache. I left feeling like a new person, the tightness and headache were gone. After living in this area for almost 3 1/2 years, I have finally found an excellent massage therapist just minutes from my home. Honestly, the best massage I have ever received. I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant with twins so to say I've been sore is an understatement. From the moment I spoke with Lily on the phone until I left my appointment, she was kind, considerate, and knowledgeable. Lily has firm hands and knew all of the right pressure points.
