We learned the hard way that this company's mistakes can be very costly to us. For starters, we and our next-door neighbor have paid this company a lot of money over the years to maintain our trees and bushes. This time they made a big mistake that'll cost us thousands. In September, they told our neighbor that their very old water maple was safe. It wasn't. A couple weeks later, it fell on our house. We're facing months of contract work. A few years ago, we'd even paid this company serious money to remove big limbs that were hanging over our house from the same tree. That was more money wasted. read more

The Limbwalker crew faced a challenging task of removing very large dead trees next to healthy large trees and electric fencing on our cattle farm. They finished the task with expertise and great care. The crew was so respectful of the surroundings and our family. I would call them especially courteous and competent in every phase of the work. Hired them to cut limbs from the telephone line (LG&E won't do it bc it's not a power line) and clean it up. First attempt missed every thing we talked about, but did get the low hanging branches. Second attempt while I was away resulted in my neighbors and my landscaper calling asking what happened to the trees. Office staff was very professional, and the sales agent remained so until I had him back to review the work. He remained adamant that the limbs over the line weren't part of the job and that this was "removing weight" from the tree. I'm not a tree expert but I've attached the photos. At the very least they did the right thing and didn't charge for this hack job. Hopefully the trees don't die, I'm out some sweat equity to fix the overturned stones and looking for a company to get the limbs off the line. read more

Limbwalker Tree provided service to a neighbor's tree across our street. They did an excellent job preserving the 60yr+ maple, hopefully giving it a few more years. Others have cut down these original trees but this appears a much better solution. They were courteous, efficient and left the area clean. My wife and I had seen the Limbwalker logo around town over the years and always heard good things through our local business grapevine. We try to always opt for local when it makes sense. As our family grew, we were outgrew our Highlands shotgun. We landed over off Zorn and alas our bigger yard came with bigger trees...... We requested service for the massive tree that shades our entire yard. AKA "the pine cone tree" if you ask my three year old. The overall experience was personal while maintaining a timely and professional manner. The website indicates free respray for weeds in between regular service visits but when I upgraded my plan to cover that I was told it would be scheduled several times but then regular service was performed instead. Regular service is supposed to include weed spot treatment each time but no spot treatment was done. Company did not respond to emails and technician sent texts but then did not respond to replies. When I attempted to get response to emails by copying another person, owner Chris called me and told me he didn't want my business. In addition they gave me an estimate of $1188 + fees to remove one lower branch on my tulip poplar next to street. It was a very stressful and unpleasant experience, not the good communication claimed on their website. read more

I got rid of Scotts, because after 2 years my lawn was looking worse not better. So, a friend told me about this service. I gave it a 2 instead of a one because they are very personable, seem knowledgeable and local. But after 3 treatments my lawn is looking worse, and I have never had so many weeds. I was told in the beginning that if I have weeds that the normal service did not cover, that they would spot treat. I was told by the service person that came out today that I had to call to get an added treatment for the extra weeds. What?! I thought they were supposed to be the professionals and treat as needed. Not sure who to trust, but the service is 3 times what it cost for TruGreen! I think I'm just going to do Scotts next year myself. At least I can spot treat for practically nothing. My neighbor did that this year, and his lawn looks great! I frequently get a voicemail since joining too. Overall, very disappointed. read more

They charged 1400 to cut a large branch up that fell in a storm. Pricey, but insurance was paying, so whatever. They did a decent job, though they refused to leave any for firewood. 3+ years later, I get a letter from a collection agency saying they never got paid. Limbwalker never contacted me directly for payment, not sure if insurance paid or not, so I have to pay. Limbwalker came out golden as they collected interest on the money owed for 4 years and now I'm paying hundreds more for a clerical error. of course if they had contacted me years ago, I would have paid them or at least followed up with my insurance. Certainly do not recommend. read more

Limbwalkers charged me $1200 to trim a huge tree to prevent it from endangering my family. A few months later a huge branch fell and crushed our fence. I understand that you can't prevent everything, but they quoted me $1200 to remove the branch that fell! I did it myself in 4 hours with a chainsaw with no previous experience. When I questioned them about the price they said it is the cost of putting me first in line, when i asked how much it would be to not be first the price was $800. So then i asked how long it would take and they replied that it would be 2 days!!! What a scam! They were servicing my trees and doing a mosquito service on a regular basis and this is how they treat their loyal customers?? I called to explain my frustrations and talked to woody, long story short she couldn't care less, canceled all my services as requested and was completely uninterested in my story. read more

I have an oak tree I was concerned about. Stephan Zimmerman, arborist, came out and examined it. Diagnosed the condition and recommended a course of action. He is thorough and knowledgeable and approaches the problem from "what is best for the tree". This approach is greatly appreciated. The visit/consultation was accomplished at no charge. I have used other tree services, who have tried to sell me unnecessary treatments for the trees on my property. Limbwalker is great company. They are reliable, respectable and very knowledgeable. I hired them to trim our redbud a few years ago and had them come back this year when a snowstorm damaged it. I was worried that the tree would have to be cut down, but they were able to trim off the storm damaged part and there are new shoots growing where they trimmed it and the tree is thriving. We use their mosquito service in the warm, buggy months and it works great! We can actually sit outside and enjoy our back patio now. read more

I have been using this company over the last year to treat the various plants in my yard. I have an older White Pine that was being fertilized to try to keep it alive, but unfortunately it was too far gone. Just this week they removed it. I paid less for their winter seasonal pricing which was great. They were incredibly neat, especially considering this messy tree was located between two houses and not in a clear area for removal. They had an individual climb the tree and limb it to remove it. Two other individuals were monitoring and removing the branches as they came down. I was VERY impressed with the employees, who were personable, friendly and just the right amount of professional. Everyone I have come in contact with has been a standout at the office and through their treatments and estimates. read more

Their prices were not that much more, and it was an all around better experience to work with them from start to finish. They were dependable in their communications - returned calls, gave dates and kept them, very friendly. When they performed their work, it was an amazing site. It was like watching a crack team of loggers working together. They were very safety minded too, which made me more comfortable that I would not be seeing any accidents. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They came out fairly quickly. gave us an estimate and said they could do it in 2 weeks. We accepted the bid and it's now been 2 months. We have a gigantic magnolia tree that needed trimming immediately and stump removal. We tried numerous times to get in touch with Eric who never responded and we were also unsuccessful calling the office. Two months of our time has been wasted and we now have branches banging against our rebuilt windows in our historic home. Don't waste your time or money. They suck. read more

Needed two trees removed from my front yard. Called these guys and they came and gave me a quote the next day. Remove two trees and grind stumps. When I came home from work my yard looked totally different. They did a great job including cleaning up. You could hardly tell there had been two trees there. Price was very reasonable too.
