I loved the honey green tea, but a little disappointed that refills for it are not free as it seems simple to make but I don't know. The place did smell a little off and I requested to move to a new seat and that was a little helpful. Some things were pretty pricy, but it wasn't terrible. About 10-15 min drive from my house... can you see the smile on my face =D I had a $25 restaurant.com gift certificate and I was a little concerned when we drove up to the place. Looks blah from the outside, next to some law firm. Looks are definitely deceiving. The restaurant is super cute, small and perfect place for a date night. We got there early evening time on a Sunday. Only one other couple in the restaurant and we thought we were gonna have the place all to ourselves. Not too long after wards the place got pretty full but that didn't cause any difference in the service. Our waitress was friendly and very sweet. She checked up on us a few times and seemed to really care about our dining experience. We ordered the spring rolls and Tom's ribs for appetizers. Ribs for an app you ask.. oh yeah! They were drenched in a sweet honey and seasoned with cilantro leaves. I was licking my fingers. DON'T JUDGE! For our main dishes we ordered the Fried Rice with Chicken and Shrimp and the Pad Thai. When I say the most amazing Fried Rice - I'm not lying. Listen, it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! My pad thai was very yummy but they did put a lot of peanuts on top. The best Thai restaurant in the south shore area!!! Every time I come here, I am never disappointed. Food always come out in a timely matter, fresh, hot, and tasteful. My favorite at the time being is their pineapple fried rice but you can never go wrong with other dishes such as pad Thai, drunken noodles, chef specials, and so forth. They have Thai hotpot that I have yet to try and curry dishes. They're on my best to do eat at this restaurant. I haven't ordered take-out from here but I always have left overs and the food still taste good the next day. Small restaurant with potentials to grow. Parking lot is shared with other small businesses but the parking lot never gets crowded so don't worry about fighting for a parking spot. However, you might have a starring contest with the fish and the may think you're a creep for starring at them while you wait for a table during busy hours. read more

Came by while I was canvassing and stopped in about 2 PM for lunch. I ordered the green curry and subbed brown rice. The curry was really good - rich from the coconut milk, perfectly spiced (I actually didn't even add any additional chili) and came out hot and quickly. I was the only one in there at the time, though a few people came to take out. The staff was really friendly and the place is small, but quaint. If I were in the area again, I would def come back. This is perhaps the best Thai food I've every had. Highly recommended. I'd easily drive over an hour to eat here. The restaurant atmosphere is really welcoming and, despite being small, is a really nice place to stay and eat dinner. They have an incredible fish tank with many live anemones and clown fish, the clearly is well taken care of. If you can get the table right by the fish, they are awesome to look at. The food is outstanding and very authentic (I've spent time in Thailand). We like the mango curry and the chicken massaman noodle best. They also have great thai iced tea served in mason jars - though it is incredibly caffeinated for tea and my girlfriend and I were up almost the entire night talking in bed after drinking them, and we usually fall asleep instantly! read more

Got to be honest, this place is very good, the food was incredibly fresh, the service was prompt and friendly, i'd certainly head back there. The app's are awesome, highly recommend the ribs, satay and pad Thai, amazing food. I can say it did not disappoint. I had the chili duck, served with a side of rice and your choice of two appetizers. I chose the crab Rangoon and the spring roll. I did not particularly care for the spring roll, but the rest of the meal was fantastic. The duck was well cooked and well seasoned. I've been here 3-4 times so far. The food is okay. But the price is pretty absurd for the quality. I've been to Thailand but I try not to compare to Americanized restaurants. Either way, I've been to numerous Thai restaurants all over Boston and surrounding cities. Quality is generally better elsewhere, and meals are $3-4 CHEAPER. I only return here because it's close and it's decent when a craving kicks in. On a separate note, the decor is welcoming and certainly classier than other Thai restaurants. Love this place and wonder why it took me so long to get here. Definitely authentic Thai style stir fried dishes that transport me back to Bangkok. We started with the Tod Mun and Tom's ribs for apps. I love Tod Mun and their version although not with fish is still good. Had a nice seasoning to it. I'm not a fan of the ribs but my friend enjoyed it. My drunken noodle aka pad kee mao was very satisfying. It has the right amount of sauce and spice level. Will definitely return for more. My friend had their honey duck and declared it way better than the Thai restaurants in QUINCY and BRAINTREE. After having tried just about every Thai restaurant in the Boston/Allston/Somerville area, this one is right up there with S&I and Pho Rice. Yes, it's that good. I've tried take-out from here several times and it's always been great. Is this place a hidden gem? No. Word is spreading. 5 months ago, I could walk in there and it would have 10 or 15 people eating there. Now, it seems to be packed all the time and there's a line for pick-up orders. Visited Lime Leaf for the first time after reading the reviews on Yelp. We ordered the grilled calamari as an app which I would give 3.5 to 4 stars. I ordered the seafood soup and my husband the Lime Leaf Duck plate and one side of rice and one side of udon noodles.Mine was flavorless and the udon noodles overcooked. My husband's plate had extra garnishes such as TWO THICK, BLACK, PIECES OF HAIR inside the batter of the fried duck. We called the waitress immediately and showed her the hair. I also gave back my overcooked udon noodles.She took the plate and was Unapologetic about the issue. No one from management came to apologize about the situation. The extra garnishes costed $18 for that plate only. Anyways all complaints aside, all I can think and wonder is what type of shampoo/conditioner the cook uses to have such nice, thick and long black hair... Golden bags and the pineapple fried rice are usually the meals I grab and they aren't as flavorful at Lime Leaf. Asked for spicy, none was added. Too much curry seasoning on the rice. Lime Leaf may be in a tiny shopping center in a tiny town, but there's nothing small about the quality of the food. The Tofu Triangles are a nice light appetizer, and the drunken noodle and red curry make for yummy entrees. Everything is well-cooked, and the flavor really sinks into the food. Not sure I'd give this place 5 stars like so many yelpers have done - it's great but not exceptional. Third time here tonight. First two times were good, especially their drinks-- so good that we came two days in a row for the strawberry lemonade and toms ribs. Today was a completely different story though... the strawberry lemonade was very underwhelming and tasted like water with a drop of lemon juice and infused with one strawberry for the whole pitcher. The toms ribs were lukewarm and tasted like they've been in the slow cooker too long. We liked them before because they were extremely tender and fall off the bone but this time the meat had the crumbly texture of super over cooked meat (reminds me of the time I made chicken in the slow cooker and left it there overnight 18ish hours--same horrible texture). We also got the crispy duck fried rice (I remember ordering the crispy chicken fried rice but miscommunication happens and the server offered to change it for us, we refused) the fried rice was good, a little oily. I'm not a fan of duck but my boyfriend liked it. The mango sticky rice portion is pretty small compared to other places with the same price. Less than half a cup of sticky rice came with the half side of mango. The service is pretty good here. The servers try their best and were very nice I just wish the kitchen was more consistent. After today, I will be sticking to my local Thai place in Quincy that's always consistently good whenever we go. read more
