Had a great time here. Sat at the bar, got here for neighborhood hours, but it's really just wines on the menu. No food. this place got really packed fairly fast so you may want to get here early If you do not have reservations. The service was OK for it to have been at the bar.. it could have been better. The charcuterie was really good and the price wasn't bad for a half size portion. The chocolate cake was OK. It wasn't the most moist cake or with the most flavor but if you like chocolate cake, it would not be a bad option. My favorite part... so the ambience here is so nice and the way that it is designed.. the way the light hits.. the color scheme... Everything about this place is just so whimsical in a way you just have to see for yourself. It's the perfect spot for a date night or bringing people out of town that want to experience something other than what's on Beale Street or even the other nice restaurants here around Memphis, this one had all of the vibes. read more

This place has ambiance! While the menu is limited, everything is fabulous! You can tell there was intentionality behind what is offered. Carlos was our waiter and was fun, engaging, and attentive. I let him surprise me and told him to pick my entree. He did not miss. This is a great place for a quaint date night or a girls night out. One recommendation, parking is very limited. To think Limelight used to be a burger place... and now it is this beautiful, welcoming restaurant that serves great food! The restaurant has several different eating venues - a community table, coves for drinks, a great bar and regular tables. I've eaten here before and just had drinks and a salad. This time we came for our anniversary and had a great meal. For our appetizer we had the chicken skins and the moules frites (mussels with fries and cream sauce) - both were delicious! For our entrees, we had the Waygu Beef Filet and Gnocchi - both were very tasty! We finished the night with the Peanut Butter Semifreddo, which was so yummy! A great way to end our meal. read more

Ambiance is great. Food was very good. The pork belly skewers were a delicious start. The scallops were good but not outstanding. The halibut was fantastic. And the dessert plate has several notable choices. First, the half dessert array is more than enough for two. The almond brittle and peanut butter cookies were the standouts. And if you love dark chocolate, the fudge and chocolate cover peanuts will please. Of course you should try one of their crafted cocktails. The Green Velvet was my favorite. The ambiance is awesome! I love the size & chic feel of this little spot in Germantown. The food is delicious and service superb.

The wine list is not great. They have no one that can discuss the vintage or region. Our high school waitress brought out a handful of unopened bottles to show us .. it was sad. They make you order all at once, promising accurate pacing, but food came out during the wine fiasco. Food was overly salted. Scallops salty and over. I wanted to like this place so bad. The restaurant n service n food were A plus. I ordered a margarita top shelf n I do this all over the world as I travel extensively. The margarita was $10 but they charged an extra $22 for top shelf n I've never paid an extra fee. The cost of the beverage may be a few dollars more which is fine. I ordered a second glass and an additional $22 was charged !! That made my drinks $32 each for a regular sized margarita. The waitress should have notified that that would happen. As I stated I have traveled the world n always always order top shelf margarita. So beware!!!! The $22 was for open liquor! Did they open 2 bottles ????It's a great place but I'll never return bc my fav is $32 a glass!!!! read more

Luxe meets accessibility, but still with a hint of exclusivity. The staff did an excellent job of explaining what they offered and what they hoped you gained from the experience(loved the pickled green beans). The charcuterie appetizer was above average, which was nice because boards in 2023 have become mundane. The oyster appetizer....Chef's kiss, definitely one for the books. The WAYGU flatiron was top tier, but in my opinion it's really hard to mess up this Class "S" piece of meat, it would have to be over cooked. Luckily the chef recommended a medium rare and it gave! Limelight does a great job of setting the scene for date night, dinner with friends or even grabbing one of their happy hour cocktails after work. The only criticism I will provide is the parking can be a bit inconvenient due to the lack of available spaces. read more

We had a lovely evening here. It's the third time we've been and each was excellent. My only complaint is the parking and I'm glad to see that they are starting a valet service on at least some nights. We had the trout, the chicken as well as the corn soup and the tomato salad. The entrees were excellent but the soup and salad were standouts. Service was very good. The ambience was pleasant though a little dark. I love that they have a community table for walk ins and we have taken advantage of it in the past. Bar service was good though they didn't appear to have a bartender when we were there. All in all it was a delightful evening and we'll be back. On nights when there is a valet service, that is. read more

Absolutely beautiful!! Limelight has a beautiful center piece tree that changes design based on the time of year. I sat at the bar and was served by the most social and smiley bartender I've ever met. He introduces you to others at the bar and gets the good vibes going! Very great service. The food was excellent. I ordered the scallops and had a cocktail and I was very impressed. 10/10 recommend! Will be coming back and recommending to friends and family. read more

Limelight is simply lovely. This is a place you go to enjoy a fine dining experience, not just a meal. The decor and ambiance is elegant yet charming and our service was superb. Definitely make a reservation (it's small), dress for the occasion and plan to spend a little time (& money). We began with some divine cocktails while we explored the menu. The entrees were enticing but we chose to go with several small plates so we could try more tasty items, as well as save room for dessert! One of my favorite restaurants in the Memphis area. Food is always fantastic. Service is great as well. I only have one small critique... the past 2 times I have been, someone in my party has received their food and it was not hot when it should have been. The last time, it was the NY strip, it was delicious but room temp was the warmest part of it. Almost as if that dish was ready first and then they finished the other dishes as everyone else's was hot. That's the one tiny thing I think could be better but this place is still outstanding! Love this place. The food and drinks are great. The restaurant itself is beautiful, on the smaller side, but warm and intimate. We've been here twice so far, once at the bar and once at the community table. Carlos took care of us both times and provided excellent service. I never leave reviews anymore, and I rarely ever leave negative ones - especially for a local business. Unfortunately I've just had two truly terrible experiences here. I want to be positive, but I'm not sure how to be optimistic about walking across poplar pike alone in the dark to pay $40 for the most inedible duck. The ONLY reason I am leaving 3 stars instead of 1 or 2, is our server, whose good nature kept us from having a completely awful experience, and the food is good. It started out with being seated late, reservation was for 7:45, to us not leaving until 10:30, which by that point I was just exhausted, having been ready to leave by 9:00 at the latest. I wanted a Bloody Mary, they were out of mix, so I ordered a French 75, which was nice, and comped. My brother in law wanted a ghost river beer from the menu, they only had bud light. My appetizer came out, I waited, and waited, and waited for everyone else's to come out, until finally I had to eat mine because it was bordering on cold. Literally (yes, I do mean literally)as soon as I finished mine, my sister's (same app) came out, then my niece, and brother-in-law. The entrees were better, as they were not so staggered. Another issue was the table was sticky, and some of the water glasses smelled like the dishwasher lines had not been flushed since they moved in, straight up bacteria smell. They did say they had installed a new dishwasher that day, so maybe some of our glasses were cleaned from the old one. The server, who like I said was awesome at trying to smooth things over, offered a butter tasting, and offered me a free dessert (it was my birthday), however the dessert we wanted was sold out , by this point it's almost comical. I will say, the food was great, which I already knew because I have ordered take out from here before, but this was my first dine-in experience, not to mention my family's first experience so I was disappointed, which is irritating because I have been wanting to dine here since it opened. I used to work fine dining, and our $450.00 tab (not including tip) did NOT reflect fine dining. Maybe they were down servers, cooks, and bartenders, but it was just chaotic, and lacking. Again, I want to stress, we do not blame our server, who was great. It seemed more like a management issue. Strangely, I never saw a manager walking around, and if there was one, I would've expected a conversation, or at the very least a drop-by at our table. Suffice it to say, my birthday dinner was unfortunately not what I thought it would be. read more

As typical, we shared multiple starters, sides, an entree, and dessert. Drinks were good, but fell short of excellent. Service too was good, but fell short of great. Our server was very friendly, but I think had too many tables. Our drinks came well into our food and we had to ask twice. We were offered additional bread as an apology, and that never came. We weren't upset, but these were definitely misses. Prices were very reasonable and I felt like we got value for the spend. This place is spectacular and so close to my house. While I still love our other local upscale restaurants, the menus are boring and uninspired. At Limelight, the menu feels fresh and new. The service is amazing and I am treated like a special family member. Carlos remembers my drink order and suggests new drinks that I may like based on my tasting profile. The ambiance is elevated and cozy. I normally go early or late so I've never had an issue with parking but I would be unlikely to park across the street or walk through the mud in heels. Hopefully Limelight can offer valet in the future on busy nights. I'd like to see a rotating menu for spring or the occasional special. read more

Had such a negative experience here I am still in shock. Everyone from the valet to the GM was incredibly unprofessional and rude, and after spending so much money I would expect a much better service than was provided. I cannot believe that anyone who is paying this much money would receive such terrible service and have such a negative experience.... So disappointed. We are from out of town, and staying at the Hyatt for business. It was Friday night, but past regular dining time. We thought this place sounded good and drove over. The valet was super nice. We understand that Friday nights are busy. We understand that reservations may be necessary: But the hostess was incredibly rude! All she needed to say was, "I'm sorry, but we have no tables unless you have reservations. But you're welcome to sit at the bar'". Instead, she was condescending and rude. We would never come back. But your valet deserves kudos for directing us to a place that we didn't need reservations for...and for being kind about it. read more
