It was nice to have a slice of pie, eggs and coffee. You get to meet the people who stay at the other farmhouse too. Everyone hangs out and chit chats for a while. The morning starts with farm chores if you want to go! The kids loved it. There's a refrigerator for you to put your goodies in. It's not too far from town but you will need a car. She added central heat and air around three years ago. The B&B was built in 1909 and was used as a single family home until converted. The rooms and common areas still reflect the ambience of a family home. In the bathroom, everything works as it should. The beds are comfortable. Beth has improved her cooking and the breakfasts are now excellent. She will surprise you with some of her creations. If there is a downside, it's the noise coming from the street and the schools next door. However, that will be an issue in most places in Lancaster County. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

I took out my Lysol wipe and thought nothing of it until my husband seen a roach walking on the table. Killed it wiped down table again. Goes to bathroom another roach- kill it and take a picture. Open the fridge and there were 3 dead roaches in the fridge. I go to front desk and speak to ddavir0. Tell him about the roaches he said he had to see them so he could take pictures. I told him I took pictures but no he had to see them for himself. He sees them and takes some pictures and leaves. He said if I wanted I could switch rooms but at first I said I prefer the room I was in since I had stayed there before. He said he would send someone to clean my room. I asked when but he couldn't say so I let him I was going out. I left about 12:30ish and upon my return at 9:20 guy said he was there to clean the room. I said you can't at this time. Enter my room huge roach walking on the wall and then another. Went to front desk and requested a move. I moved my stuff to another room. Table and chair had food particles on it. (I'm thinking here we go again). Fridge and microwave were never cleaned. Since it was late I never looked at the floor. Apparently there was something on the floor that my dog and spit up. Even though she is housebroken I always bring wee wee pad. She puked on the pad. It was then I realized she had eaten off the floor because the contents was nothing that I had given to her. I'm back to the front desk. Front desk lacks customer service skills as well how to speak to a paying customer. I asked for the general manager and he didn't know when he would be back. Kept making excuses and couldn't keep up with his own lies. I told him I want to be compensated. He had to speak to the general manager. Day of check out I ask for my bill expecting to see compensation on it. Front desk was Bunny Jyub. He was more pleasant than the other guy. So he folds up my bill as if I wasn't going to look at it. I look and there is no compensation in it. I repeat my roach history and he says only the general manager can make the decision whether to compensate or not. Then gives me a piece a paper and tells me to write what happened and why I think I should be compensated I told him the first day I let the front desk know about the roaches someone should have contacted the gen'l mgr and let him know about the roaches. I wrote everything down and gave it to him. He said the manager would return on the 10th-so it's only 3 days. I told him I will contact cc company and they can sort it out. On my drive home I get a call from the front desk. Very unprofessional and sketchy people when they speak. I asked for the name of whom I was speaking to and his response was, "front desk". Does front desk have a name? Front desk.. what's your name? Speaks to someone in Indian and comes back and says Sam. Said I would be compensated $80. I should see it appear on cc statement in 3-4 days. Well they just opened a can of worms. They don't realize customer service along with reviews can help you but also hurt you!
