We finally made it in for dinner at Limoncello, and what an absolutely charming spot it is! The entire restaurant bursts with personality--from the bright lemon décor and painted murals on the walls to the adorable lemon-shaped salt and pepper shakers on each table. It's such a fun, happy atmosphere the moment you walk in. The staff was incredibly attentive. Our server, Alex, was fantastic and walked us through all the specials--each one sounding better than the last. We ordered a glass of wine and one of their house special non-alcoholic drinks, and both were delicious. For starters, we had the zucchini flowers, which you can't find just anywhere. They were outstanding--super tender, perfectly fried, and paired with a flavorful basil cream sauce. For entrées, I had the cod piccata with homemade pasta. It was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. My girlfriend ordered the chicken parmesan, which came thin, crisp, and cooked beautifully, also served with homemade pasta. Their tomato sauce deserves its own applause--balanced, rich, and truly perfect. We were so full we couldn't even think about dessert, but that just gives us an excuse to return! Wow! What a hidden gem! We had early reservations (5:00 pm) and by the time we left - this place was packed! And rightfully so:) I enjoyed reading the background of how Limoncello got started - specifically how the owner met his wife, relocated and followed his dream of opening a restaurant. Even more impressive to see him going table to table making sure everyone's meals were as expected. Our waitress Lindsey was incredible - probably the happiest and most bubbly waitress I've ever had:) I ordered the Pollo Saltimbocca which was chicken layered with prosciutto di Parma and smoked provola. It was good, but I personally felt the prosciutto was a strong taste when combined w the chicken. My friend ordered the sea bass and thought it was ok. Just didn't knock her socks off. For dessert we tried a pistachio cake (can't remember the name) with a scoop of pistachio ice cream. We both agree the ice cream was amazing, but we could have passed on the cake. I wish I could give this place 100 stars! Wow I was blown away by this entire experience. Not only is the food absolutely incredible, but the service is astounding. Not a moment were we left alone without some type of server checking on us. The manager came by twice to make sure we were taken care of. Came here on a dinner date with my daughter, per her request, since we are new to the area. We had an awesome dining experience from being seated right away, to our very attentive and friendly server. We felt like he was 100% focused on us even though we had several other tables. The bread and butter service was tasty as was the lobster ravioli - very filling; so excited to be able to take it the rest home for leftovers. This is a fabulous restaurant. We went somewhat early and did not have reservations, but they were able to seat us. The bread and dipping aioli are delicious and a great treat while you are waiting. We each had a glass of wine, the house selections are fine. A burrata appetizer was shared and they set the prosciutto aside for me as my friend is vegetarian. Tender and delicious all around. My friend ordered the gnocci and fully enjoyed it. I ordered the tagliolini alla Pescatora. Absolutely everything in this dish from the octupus to the calamari, shrimp, clams and mussels were perfectly cooked and seasoned and just so tasty. So we were seated and orders taken. Wife had a "peach spritz" which she said was basically an Aperol Spritz with a dash of peach vodka. Then we had squash blossoms with a great sauce. Then she had kale salad. Mains were pizza for her and a pasta, dish with roasted pepper and sausage sauce. The food was overall pretty good but not knockout great. We got appetizers, they double charged for all of them due to the size of the table even though we didn't ask. Will not be back, can go to 5th and get better Edit for the owner response - Salads- the verbiage for the salads was " would you either like a Cesar Salad or a House salad with your meal" I had actually asked if it came with the meal or was an extra charge, the waiter dodged the question and went onto the next guest. This is the kind of restaurant that once you have been there once, you will certainly return. The family run business is high on ambience and they make you feel very welcome when you arrive, kind of like the Olive Garden sales pitch of when you're here your family. The walls are brightly painted with Italian scenes, and there are lemons everywhere, almost to the point of being excessive. Lindsay was our waitress and she was bubbly as well as knowledgeable and demonstrated great enthusiasm for her job and the specials of the evening. Our party of four had one of the daily specials which was an Italian Seabass, chicken Parm, cheese, ravioli with sausage mushroom sauce and last, but not least a shrimp risotto dish. I started with one of their classic appetizers, a zucchini squash flower that is stuffed with several different cheeses and lightly fried to perfection, it was lovely. They also provide a decent bread with butter infused with parsley and garlic. Every dish was four star plus. The food at this place is super legit. The service is a bit spotty. There are so many people walking around bringing bread , water, wine glasses , but no one remembers what they are suppose to do if you ask them for something. However, the food is delish. The bread and the aioli severs with it is so fresh and tasty. I had 2 spritz's to drink the Hugo was great the limoncello sorta of tasted like pinesol but that's kinda its thing. I ordered the sizzle dining menu and a Italian wedding soup. My bf got the meatballs and the short rib tagliatelle. My menu was the short rib bruschetta, the pacchierre wirh braised meat, and the lemon zeppole. Everything was excellent. The soup was a tomato broth different than most wedding soups , and the meatballs were tender on there and fresh. My short rib bruschetta was so different but I could eat it every day. Like it was that good. My pasta was fresh, al dente and a large serving. I did have to pour my own water a few times but no biggie. The best part was the lemon donut dessert. It is a great go to spot for a nice night out during the week, and also my favorite place to bring friends who are visiting from out of town. The food is consistently excellent, the service is attentive, and the ambiance is exactly what you want for a great night out. The arancini are my go to appetizer. Perfectly crunchy with a really flavorful sauce. I always order the boscaiola ravioli, and it never disappoints. For dessert, the tiramisu is a must and my choice every time.
