We finally made it in for dinner at Limoncello, and what an absolutely charming spot it is! The entire restaurant bursts with personality--from the bright lemon décor and painted murals on the walls to the adorable lemon-shaped salt and pepper shakers on each table. It's such a fun, happy atmosphere the moment you walk in. The staff was incredibly attentive. Our server, Alex, was fantastic and walked us through all the specials--each one sounding better than the last. We ordered a glass of wine and one of their house special non-alcoholic drinks, and both were delicious. For starters, we had the zucchini flowers, which you can't find just anywhere. They were outstanding--super tender, perfectly fried, and paired with a flavorful basil cream sauce. For entrées, I had the cod piccata with homemade pasta. It was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. My girlfriend ordered the chicken parmesan, which came thin, crisp, and cooked beautifully, also served with homemade pasta. It was good, but I personally felt the prosciutto was a strong taste when combined w the chicken. My friend ordered the sea bass and thought it was ok. Just didn't knock her socks off. For dessert we tried a pistachio cake (can't remember the name) with a scoop of pistachio ice cream. We both agree the ice cream was amazing, but we could have passed on the cake. No transparency and shady server tactics. Server asked if we wanted a side or house salad with the meal like they came with it, they didn't. We got appetizers, they double charged for all of them due to the size of the table even though we didn't ask. Will not be back, can go to 5th and get better Edit for the owner response - Salads- the verbiage for the salads was " would you either like a Cesar Salad or a House salad with your meal" I had actually asked if it came with the meal or was an extra charge, the waiter dodged the question and went onto the next guest. For the appetizers - the double order was never disclosed or even spoke about. For the drinks- that was a miss on my part after reviewing the bill again. My husband, daughter and I came for my birthday dinner. My husband had the Bronzino, my daughter had the lamb chops with blueberry sauce and I had the rigatoni with Sunday meat gravy special. Came here on a dinner date with my daughter, per her request, since we are new to the area. We had an awesome dining experience from being seated right away, to our very attentive and friendly server. We felt like he was 100% focused on us even though we had several other tables. We each had a glass of wine, the house selections are fine. A burrata appetizer was shared and they set the prosciutto aside for me as my friend is vegetarian. Tender and delicious all around. The family run business is high on ambience and they make you feel very welcome when you arrive, kind of like the Olive Garden sales pitch of when you're here your family. Our party of four had one of the daily specials which was an Italian Seabass, chicken Parm, cheese, ravioli with sausage mushroom sauce and last, but not least a shrimp risotto dish. I started with one of their classic appetizers, a zucchini squash flower that is stuffed with several different cheeses and lightly fried to perfection, it was lovely. The food at this place is super legit. The service is a bit spotty. There are so many people walking around bringing bread , water, wine glasses , but no one remembers what they are suppose to do if you ask them for something. However, the food is delish. The soup was a tomato broth different than most wedding soups , and the meatballs were tender on there and fresh. My short rib bruschetta was so different but I could eat it every day. The food is consistently excellent, the service is attentive, and the ambiance is exactly what you want for a great night out. The arancini are my go to appetizer. Perfectly crunchy with a really flavorful sauce. I always order the boscaiola ravioli, and it never disappoints. For dessert, the tiramisu is a must and my choice every time. I was looking forward to visiting Limoncello for the first time even though I live less than two miles away. I experienced joy, surprises and disappointment. My reservation was 6:45 and, fortunately, I arrived early as the parking lot was completely filled. I joined in the circle game with other cars and finally was the first in line as a couple backed out. So, go early enough to allow time to find a parking spot. I was seated immediately. As a single, I was at a small table in the back. As I watched other tables being served, I was not approached for almost 10 minutes. They were very busy but that did feel like a long time. Their bread is good and their special butter is outstanding. I ordered the Ravioli de Vitello. The sauce was excellent as was the filling but the ravioli was severely undercooked and very chewy. Think warm Twizzlers. That was very disappointing as everything thing else was so good. I explained to a server, not as a complaint as much as an observation for improvement. I decided to try the tiramisu and it was good. Not the best I've had but a 7/10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very busy so obviously succeeding more than not.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was disappointed and with so many fine restaurants, it might be some time before I try them again.
