I will not be returning after this experience. I verified with my insurance before making the appointment that this office was in-network. Despite that, I was charged $250 out of pocket when my co-pay is clearly $35. This is unacceptable and feels like a complete rip-off. While Dr. Lin is knowledgeable, the office environment is outdated and does not match the quality of care I expected. I am extremely disappointed, and this visit has made it clear that I will not be coming back. read more

I have been going to Dr. Lin for over 20 years and every time I leave his office I feel better. I experience back pain on my lower back and my shoulders and when I leave I feel my pain is relieved for long term. I don't recommend going to this place. I went to get a consult for my hand which was recovering from a workout injury but was healing. I could move it and had no pain but it was still sensitive and I couldn't put pressure on it. So I go here and tell the doctor. He wants x-rays and does some ultrasound back massage on me and then wants to crack my spine. I asked about my hand and he evades it a few times then says he needs to crack my spine to help heal it. I've been researching chiropractors and hand treatments before going and have seen them pull or crack the hand. Not here. He did everything else but focus on my hand. It was my first time at a chiropractor so I was really confused by the whole experience. I knew something wasn't right so left. I learned after from my brother and friends that everything I had done was solely for them to charge me. I haven't gotten a billing statement or anything from them but within one week, my insurance was billed and it said I needed to pay $277. I'm still waiting on the bill so I can contact my insurance to discuss the charges. The doctor was very knowledgeable and articulate. But he gives directions to his nurses and they follow his orders. For him to recommend all this stuff when I went in for a hand consult shows where his values are with his practice. All of it was unnecessary. Also, the office has a lot of old and outdated equipment. It seems as thought nothing has changed since the 1990s or something. I've been to a lot of doctors offices and some furnitures were not the best but decent. Everything here was just really old. I honestly regret going here. It was a waste of time. read more

I have a lot of back pain from sitting at a desk and staring down at a computer over 8 hours a day for work. A friend recommended that I check out Dr. Lin's clinic to help my back feel better, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation. The clinic's staff is super friendly and very helpful. From riding on the bus all the time in Orange County to walking around with a bag on my shoulder carrying a 5-pound laptop, I thought it was time for me to get my shoulder (and neck) checked out. A few twists and turns have been doing the trick, as well as my upper back due to bad posture. Maybe it was also about time for me to get a new office chair (my current chair is getting a little old on me). I had to pay my appointments out of pocket (via credit card or cash) since chiropractic appointments are not covered by medical insurance. He's not bad at what he does. Good english, good chinese. He's good at explaining things also. However, I do get the hunch that he's like one of those chiropractors you can't COMPLETELY trust. You know what I"m talking about if you have gone to chiropractors, they sometimes will try to reel you in forever to keep taking your money and don't always completely fix the problem. That might be the case for Dr. Lin, i'm not entirely sure. All I know is, I went to him for a long time (1-2 years), and spent tons of money and did not get much better. His office feels a little bit old and run down, but I care more about the quality of the chiropractic than I do about the office. Compared to other chiropractors I've been to, it does indeed feel like he's moving stuff around in the right direction and he uses a good amount of force (I can't stand chiropractors who are super gentle and don't really crack any bones). Now that I think about it, he does try to push some xrays on people even if it's not covered by insurance. He only spends about 5-10mins on you each session when cracking your back and talking to you. It feels like he just has set routines he keeps using on you to address broad problems. It doesn't really feel like he dives deep into your specific problem and attempt to tailor his adjustments to your body. He IS GOOD for neck pain though. That was a quick fix for me and others who have been there. Oh and when you go in for treatment, he'll usually have you lie down on the roller table for 30 mins or so with electrical stim. I've seen other people get ultrasound though, and occasionally massages. Note: I only went here from about 2005-2007 ish, even though I wrote the review in 2009. As a pediatrician and a mother of 2, I have chronically suffered from severe migraine, neck and shoulder pain as long as I can remember. I had surgery for my herniated cervical disc 2 years ago, yet the intense muscle spasm and migraine have not improved. I started going to Dr. Lin's office for treatment about one month ago. I thought I gave it a try because two of my elderly family friends were treated by him and were able to walk without a cane. I also witnessed the improvement of their general health. Dr. Lin is very professional, kind and careful when providing treatement. He asks detailed history, takes his time when doing adjustments and is very patient when providing explanation of the expected progress and outcome. Since the treatment, I have not had another migraine, which is unbelievable! My neck and shoulder pain, as well as the range of motion of my neck have improved significantly. Without the tension and pain, my spirit is uplifted as well! He also miraculously cured my gynecological problem, so I don't have to take any hormone pills. As a doctor myself, I understand the importance of being compliant of physician's directions. It's vital to do the exercises that he teaches you and to avoid certain poor posture. Good compliance leads to better outcome. Going to Dr. Lin's office makes me feel that getting my health back is possible. His adjustments should slow down the natural process of degeneration of bone, avoid nerve pinching and decrease my pain and agony. Ive been coming to see Dr. Lin and Dr. Willy after an accident back in May 2015. I had back pain and Dr willy has been treating me really well. Not only that, I found out my spine was also not in a good shape because of working long hours on the computer. Was suffering from long term back pain that likely developed from sitting almost all day at my previous office job. I tried almost all the natural remedies that I could look up online and then turned to Dr William Vy based on recommendation from a friend. When I stepped into the practice I was greeted by very friendly staff and it didn't take too much time to see Dr Vy. Dr. Lin is very good at curing neck and head problems. I have been taking therapy for my chronic headache for four years now. My headache used to bug me every 3-5 days with high intensity four years ago. This chronic issue has been going on for over 15 years. It was only until Dr. Lin told me that I realized that it comes with bad postures - working in front of desk/computer for too long without moving and keeping my head down all the time. With the exercise Dr. Lin suggested and his treatment, my headache no longer bother me every week. When it does, Dr. Lin will treat it right away for me. He also treated my stomach issue. He cares about patients' health very much, so do his staffs. Kim is always helping me friendly and warmly schedule the appointment, even when she is busy. Their ultrasound and muscle steamer always help me relax before the treatment so that the treatment will be more effective.
