As usual, this is a pretty solid buffet. Service was good. Food was tasty and fresh. Place was clean. Ambiance is what you would expect from a buffet restaurant. This is a "full service" buffet. If you are really hungry then this place is great for that. The food is okay but lacking in quality which is made up in quantity. I did like the pork ribs, but was not thrilled with the "steak" or the "sushi". I didn't want to risk trying the seafood but it looked good. Check out the videos. The ambiance is much like a cafeteria. I really didn't expect much when this place was suggested as a place for AYCE with a price of $16.99 for dinner! This is definitely a 5 Star buffet. I would say the best buffet in San Antonio. They have so many amazing things like sushi and crab legs that it's hard to stop eating honestly. They have all kinds of treats for the kids and it's only 20 bucks per person on the weekends. So much to choose from you definitely have to stop in here at least wants to find out what you're missing if you kind of live in the area or pass through it a few times on I-35. Well, I took the family to Lin's international buffet today after church. We enjoy a good buffet and ever since the Chinese Buffet by our house changed to a seafood buffet (Kumi) we have been looking for a quality place. So, here we are at Lin's. Place is clean, the staff are friendly. The bathroom was clean, floor was a little sticky. Issue here is the food wasn't great. Wasn't a lot of options, and most of the food was dry, and over salted. Definitely not worth the price we paid. I have 4 kids and with my wife it's 6. And in today's economy 100 bucks this was not worth it. Save your coin try something else. read more

We've heard people talk about this place and say everything from is fantastic to its terrible so we decided to give it a shot. So if I could have given a 3 1/2 star rating I would but I don't have that option. The place is spacious and clean. There were folks bussing tables and bring food out all the time, which was good. The food ranged from very good to just plain bad. I tried the sushi. There were about 15 types - unfortunately nothing was labeled so you just had to guess. Fortunately the ones I guessed at were actually pretty tasty and of course shaved ginger and wasabi always helps. The General Tso's chicken lacked flavor and was obviously sitting for awhile - two bites was it. The lo mein noodles were fresh and good. The spring roll was soggy inside and lacked flavor. The egg roll was fresh, hot, crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The breaded popcorn shrimp were also fresh and prepared well. I like a good onion ring and these looked tasty - a good breading. I grabbed three. I bit into the first one and literally spit it into my napkin. It was cold and soggy. My wife had pepper steak and I had a bite - it was flavorful, hot and pretty good. She also tried the sesame chicken which also was prepared well and tasted good. Her thoughts on the lo mein and General Tso's chicken mirrored mine. The BBQ rib was American style but not bad. Her thoughts on the egg roll were also the same as mine. The teriyaki chicken was dry and not very good. We looked at the items on the back row (pizza, steak, tilapia and a few other items - honestly, they looked like they'd been sitting for quite some time and were not appetizing. We looked at the desserts and nothing really stuck out so we opted for scoops of ice cream - they have 8 different flavors and that was tasty. A negative note - the first bowl I picked up had some type of food in the bowl that didn't get cleaned during washing, but everything else looked clean. Soooo - would I really be wanting to come back? No. Would I come back if someone else really wanted to, yeah, there are things that I could eat. This is my favorite Chinese buffet. They have an extensive food variety, but the best part is that the food is fresh, not overcooked, and the flavor is just right for my preference. The only bad thing is that my husband and I eat smaller portions, so we always share one meal. Therefore, it is not cost effective for each of us to pay for a buffet when we can only eat one small portion. Fortunately, they also sell the food by the pound. You're asked to tip when you pay at the entrance, fine..I did 15% which after dining there I'd tip 10% if at all because he never refilled our drinks and came around once. The food was lukewarm. I called in the afternoon to ask if they'd have steak or prime rib and was told yes , however the guy at the station was pretending to be busy in a corner & never came to the station to ask if we needed anything. Once we got a good look at the meat we walked away because it looked like it had been sitting out for a while. The baked potatos were just warm but not enought to even melt the butter (which we had to ask the waiter for, the one time the waiter came because I flagged him down for said butter). Three of us went to Lin's yesterday (Saturday) at about 1 o'clock. We hadn't been there in a while but we knew that they didn't have snow crab legs or oysters anymore. Even so, it was pretty good with a wide selection of food as usual, but the most noticeable thing to me was the good attitude and service of the staff. Everyone from the girl at the entry desk to the waiter to the people who cleared our plates were very nice to us and seemed to be enjoying their job. It was a very refreshing experience worthy of a restaurant with better clientele. My only negative is that the music in the restaurant didn't seem appropriate for enjoying a nice meal, but I'm sure we'll go back again. read more

Pretty good buffet. Went in for dinner with my best friend and her family. I hear its been open for about a month. Hot food selection is abundant. Desserts and sushi could use a bump up, but it's pretty spot on for the price you pay. I agree with another yelper who said the sushi isn't the greatest, but for a 12.99 buffet, you can't complain. Mackerel nigiri was good and so was the salmon sashimi. My must haves whenever I get sushi. No unagi though, which was disappointing. I didn't get any of the brisket but it looked good. You can also get a steak cooked to order. They also have a build your own pho bar. I went here during a week day at lunch time right when they opened. All of the food was hot and fresh. They had a sushi section, a pho bar, and a really good variety of Asian food. They even had a dim sum section. There was also fried chicken, and Buffalo wings. The cook who served my pho and my waitress were both really nice and personable. Everything was clean. First time eating here on a Saturday evening for a family of 4. A lot of people, but food always came out fresh and hot. Food quality is pretty food compared to other buffets in town. Love the variety. For the price, it's worth it. The chandelier made the experience more fancy. Our plates were always picked up, we never had more than 3 plates waiting to be picked up and the wait was usually under 5 minutes. It was quite noisy and loud when we first arrived, but the noise level died down by the time we left which was around 7 pm. The cooks were working hard to cook fast and keep the buffet line full. I wish people were more patient and respectful of the workers, but that's the world we live in. I love the variety, lots to choose from. The dessert bar was just the basic choices, but they have real ice cream so that's a plus. Can't say I have a favorite, but I did enjoy their selections of seafood. I would definitely come back and recommend Lin's for the weekend. Not sure if they have the same options daily, but the biffet experience was definitely better than others. read more

The food was nice and hot, I've only heard about this location. It's beautiful to eye as you walk in, the seats are very comfortable, so you can dine in. The selection of food was tremendous, they had, Chinese food, BBQ ribs, brisket, pizza, grilled/fried fish, and the dumplings were steamed to perfection. The man behind the grill counter was seasoning right in front of me, I really enjoyed watching my food be cooked in front of me. I'm by no means a picky eater, but Lin's was absolutely foul. Came here to give it a try for the first time- very reluctantly - as buffets are quantity over quality, and instantly regretted it. I sampled a few different things like sesame chicken, broccoli beef, teriyaki chicken, rice noodles, fried rice, crab rangoons, egg drop soup and even some beef brisket they had? None of it was good. In fact, I had a visceral reaction to some of the food that I put in my mouth. Common issues with these dishes consisted of: lack of flavor or bad flavor, lack of seasoning and abnormal textures to name a few. The teriyaki chicken? Literally tasted like fried plantains, not sure how they accomplished that one. Mac and cheese? Had an uncooked color and looked like it was sitting in dirty dish water. Really the only thing that was half edible in my short time here were the rice noodles and the crab rangoons. Both of which I would still never choose over any other food at any other restaurant. (If you're wondering what dish actually made me want to hurl, it was the watery sesame chicken) This buffet is downright disappointing. Walking around, the food looks unappealing sitting in its bins, and it was sometimes hard to distinguish what was what, as some dishes had no labels at all. The sushi bar had zero labels whatsoever, so really you just have to guess at what you're getting. Seems pretty inconsiderate to people who have allergies and food sensitivities. Ambiance was okay. Picture classic Chinese buffet decor along with extravagant chandeliers, but playing reggaetón music all throughout the restaurant. That's what this place was. The restaurant was a little messy with a broken front door that was taped up, strobing LED lightbulbs that were on the brink of death and even broken tables that were flipped on their sides with staff actively repairing them during dinner services. Service was meh, but our server was polite. Overall, I left Lin's in a rush, feeling queasy and upset that my family and I had chosen this establishment, and payed money for trash.
