Great service every time with amazing food! The cup of soup served during Friday lunch service is worth the visit alone.

This restaurant's version of Thai food was extremely disappointing. If the dishes were at least somewhat close to authentic Thai food, I could understand. But these weren't even close. We ordered the chicken satay and larb (laab). The "chicken satay" was simply a whole chicken breast served with a coconut sauce. Calling it Thai chicken satay is honestly embarrassing. Authentic Thai chicken satay is marinated in coconut milk, curry powder or yellow curry paste, turmeric, coriander, cumin, garlic, fish sauce, and palm sugar. It develops its signature yellow color and sweet-savory flavor before being grilled on skewers. Please look at the picture and judge for yourself. The larb was also disappointing. It was so sweet it tasted more like a dessert than larb. Authentic larb should be: * Tangy from lime juice * Savory from fish sauce * Fresh from herbs * Spicy from chilies * Slightly nutty from toasted rice powder Instead, it lacked the bright, bold flavors that make larb one of Thailand's most famous dishes. It was disappointing to see two simple and well-known Thai dishes prepared so far from their authentic flavors. I understand that restaurants sometimes adapt recipes to local tastes, but when a restaurant advertises itself as Thai, I expect dishes that at least resemble the flavors and preparation of traditional Thai food. read more

I'm 100% sure I'm not coming back. First time ordering from here. To go order. Got the tofu masaman curry. Was surprised by the pineapple in it, but not in a good way. It was oily. It had maybe four pieces of spongy, tough tofu. Very soupy. Bland flavor. Not at all what I expected in a curry. Such a small entree. Rice was maybe 1/4 of a cup on the side. Paid $17 and change. Not at all worth it. Was very disappointed with the dish in general. The service was fine at the counter. I was welcomed and greeted by the cashier. The restaurant was completely empty on a Saturday early evening. That should've tipped me off. It was an over the phone order though. I would've maybe paid $9 for what I got. Tried it once. My clear glass noodles and Tom Yum only had 4 pieces of beef in it, the entrees are tiny, and this is all definitely not worth $40. Had a pretty good experience at Siam Cuisine located along 3009 over the weekend. It was our first time. The place was fairly busy for a Saturday afternoon and we were told to sit anywhere we wanted. We chose Geow Tod, described as marinated chicken in a crispy wrapper with homemade sweet and sour sauce. We weren't too impressed with the chicken purses themselves but the sauce was wonderful with visible bits of fresh orange peel. This sauce would make anything taste great! For our main dishes we chose the green curry with pork, coconut milk, eggplant, lots of Thai basil. We also ordered the Massaman curry with chicken, onion and potatoes. Our server stated they are prepared at a mild-to-medium level of heat, which was good since we were first-timers and didn't want to go overboard not knowing how they determined their heat. We found it to be on the higher end of the spectrum. The green curry was very flavorful but definitely spicy. The kind that makes your eyes water a bit and your nose run! The Massaman was better in my opinion. Not quite as spicy but great flavor that wasn't overwhelmed by the heat. The onions were a little undercooked for my liking so I ended up just putting them aside. The downside is that the food took a very long time to hit the table. I'm not sure if it's the norm, but we were lucky that we didn't have anything else to do that afternoon. Service was adequate but slow, too. A good sign was that there were multiple tables of Asian diners- I can't tell you if they were definitively of a Thai background, but it was still a good indicator that the flavors of what Siam Cuisine offers satisfies diverse palates. read more

Schertz residents, you are so lucky! Dining here a handful of times now when down in the area and every single time, the food and the service here is wonderful. My heart finds joy in knowing that every entree is thoughtfully prepared. The set menus are the BEST way to explore the cuisine of this particular area of Thailand, be brave and try something new and if you aren't familiar, the waitstaff are extremely helpful and patient. If there is anything about today's meal, it is that we like our soup PIPING HOT when it's brought to the table. Today was my third visit to this location. Brought my husband this time because we were craving Asian food. The previous 2 visits went just fine, the food is very good, not great. Service is usually a little on the slower side, but friendly enough. Our visit tonight went ok until dessert... We ordered a sticky rice with custard for dessert, something we have had more times than I can count at various Thai restaurants. Every restaurant's custard is a little different, they all have unique recipes, I get that. However, the minute this custard was brought out, I could tell something wasn't right. It had a curdled look to it and was a greenish color instead of the yellow or beige we usually see. After a couple of seconds, the smell hit me...rotten eggs! The custard was made with what was clearly a BAD egg! The smell was so bad I was gagging on it. My husband was a brave soul and tried the tiniest nibble just to make sure and he immediately spat it out. We told the waiter and he offered to bring us a replacement with ice cream instead. Except, we never got a replacement because the OWNER, AJ, refused to replace it! She actually came out and ARGUED with us, saying it wasn't a bad egg, it's just how they make it there, and basically told us we were crazy. I cannot conceive of how insane this woman was to come out and argue something like that. We were very polite about the whole thing, bad eggs can happen to anyone, it doesn't mean you run a dirty kitchen or are trying to pass of expired foods, sometimes it just happens. We get that, and tried to tell her that, but she didn't want to hear it. Finally my husband just said he was done arguing about it and to bring us the check, but without the sticky rice charge on it. Our waiter brought the check, we were not charged for the bad item, but we will not be back. He was so apologetic for his boss, and said this actually happens a lot (her arguing with guests). I now know why Siam is never very busy, even though the food is pretty good. How many customers has the owner run off because she cannot admit something might not have gone perfectly? Insane way to run a customer based business. Please do not give Siam your business, do not support the bad behaviour of the owner. If something goes wrong, she will come out and argue with you about it, and no one wants to have that experience. Ruined our entire evening. P.S. Our tab was $50 before the dessert, so again, we were giving them plenty of money, but now they have lost our business for good. So stupid. read more

This little spot in Schertz is wonderful. We came just before 3pm, so only a few tables were occupied. The menu has a wide variety of options for all tastes and preferences. We started with fried tofu and yummy wontons with an amazing dipping sauce. We all ordered Pad See Ew because that's been the best thing we've had here and I wasn't feeling adventurous today. Great food. We've eaten there several times. My issue is their greed, and shady business practices. We ordered a fixed price dinner for two listed as $37.95. Waitresses asked us which type of meat we preferred. We were trying to decide between chicken and shrimp and she suggested we get 1/2 of each. We say fine. Delicious meal, but when the check arrives it's $45.95. I question this and after a few back and forths were told there was an $8 up charge for "seafood " despite no discussion of this on the menu, nor from the waitress. Manager/owner had two opportunities to correct this. She chose $8 over any future patronage from us, and the whole shady event was started by her business practices. Enjoy the $8. My husband and I stopped in on Saturday afternoon for an early dinner and we're seated immediately; only a couple of families dining in and several others picking up takeout orders. We started with the fried squid appetizer, which was tender and perfectly done, served with a thick, sweet sauce. For entrees we ordered red curry with shrimp and beef pad Thai. The curry was savory and sweet, with a nice balance of flavor, excellent over steamed rice. The pad Thai was flavorful with a good amount of beef and fresh bean sprouts mixed in. Customer service is very good. Ordered spring roll, summer roll, Som Tham, and pad bah mee. To my surprise their portions got smaller. So small that the price-to-portion was not favorable to diners. The fillings for both summer and spring rolls were lacking. Both dipping sauces were way off and nowhere close to the traditional Thai sauces. They tasted sweet like orange marmalade and definitely not Thai sweet chili sauce. The Som Tham arrived but was disappointing because it had the similar sweet orange marmalade flavor. My family and I have wanted to come here but they were close on Mondays and Tuesdays. We were finally able to visit this place today. Upon entering we were greeted and seated at our table. The staff were wonderful. We ordered 5 dishes on the lunch menu because we wanted a variety of different dishes to share. I ordered pad thai with tofu and red curry with tofu and extra veggies. They bother were perfectly cooked. I had enough food to take home and eat for dinner. My husband ordered a fried rice off the lunch menu and he ordered a stir fry with tofu and he ate everything. Our son ordered the ramen stir fry with pork. Everything tasted amazing. We can't wait to go back. Thank you. In the covid era, service can often take a hit as many restaurants struggle to keep their staff rosters full. When I visited, there was one waitress covering the whole dining room, but let me tell you, this woman deserves a raise. She HUSTLED. I think there were 11 tables, and they never lacked for service. Cannot commend her effort enough. Drinks were filled promptly, tables go their food expediently, and dishes were cleared away fast. The food - fantastic. The curry I ordered was originally flavored, creamy, complex, and highly enjoyable. I also ordered cheese sticks and Tom YuM soup, both of which I enjoyed. The portions were large. I walked away full with enough left overs for lunch the next day. I thought the prices were fair, especially when one considers I had enough left overs for a second meal.
