Really good food. The waiter was busy but attentive and friendly. Food came out pretty fast. I had Korean Kim chi noodles with beef, two of my children had the miso noodles (one beef and one shrimp), and two others had the Thai coconut curry chicken. We all enjoyed our food. The 2 beef noodle diners would probably prefer chicken or vegetable next time instead of beef because it's a fatty cut to us. The shrimp diner was very happy with their selection. Portions are huge. My brother referred me to this place, he could not stop talking about how great the food was, especially the crab rangoons. So I was in the area and decided I had to see what it was all about. I arrived at around 1PM and the place wasn't too busy. I was immediately greeted and seated. I took a look at the menu and other than the rangoons which I knew was going to order I got a hot and Spicey Sichuan soup and dumplings. While the name is ten second noodle, the food was out quickly, but not that fast. The rangoons and dumplings arrived with the soup. The portions were massive. The Rangoons and dumplings were about four bucks a piece, and were both on the larger side. The dumplings exterior was perfectly crispy, with a wonderful pork and green onion interior that exploded with flavor. They were excellent. I then tried the Rangoons. My test of a good Rangoon is a perfectly crispy exterior, but also an interior that has lots of crab meat, not just cream cheese. These did not disappoint. They were packed full of crab meat and a super tasty cheese blend. Pleased with both appetizers, I moved on to the soup. The broth was rich, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with the umami flavor you expect. The portion was absolutely massive. I ate my fill and still took home enough food for another meal. What really hits about this place, was that my two apps and entree amounted to just 24 bucks. The portion to price size was heavily in the customer's favor. We kept seeing Ten Seconds Noodle when we would drive through the Forum and coupons for it on the back of HEB receipts so we finally made a stop here. Getting seated was easy enough on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm, there were just a few other tables occupied. I was confused on how the noodle ordering worked - you pick what broth base you want, the protein, and then if you want the toppings mixed in the bowl or have it in separate dishes to add yourself. I opted to have the toppings on the side to mix myself. I went with the pork bone broth with beef slices. The beef slices remind me of what you would get at a Mongolian grill - thin frozen slices. The broth was creamy and the toppings came out on a tray and individual toppings on little sauce plates. The half egg was very well cooked and the one shrimp looked a little suspicious - kind of wet looking. I was expecting ramen noodles, the kind of yellow/curly kind but these were straight rice noodles. My noodle bowl was pretty good, but nothing really stand out about it. My fiance got the curry chicken katsu rice dish. The katsu was good - a moderate amount of meat and the katsu itself was crunchy. The curry on the other hand was very weird. It was kind of powdery and had a very strong taste of ginger. It also had little squares of potatoes inside. I had a few pieces of the katsu but my fiance ate most of the dish. About 20 minutes after finishing our meal, we had to pull over at a gas station due to his stomach troubles. This continued for a few more hours. The noodle dish itself was ok but I would avoid the curry dishes. There are other noodle joints in the SA area that are much tastier and don't give you stomach troubles. read more

Been here a couple of times now, enjoyed my meal both times. Ten Seconds isn't anything fancy, but you get friendly service and a quick meal along with good food. I recommend the soup platter as well as the popcorn chicken, which was pleasantly delightful! The soup comes with lots of side items you can add in, and is warm and comforting on a chilly night. I cannot recommend the rangoons, which I found to be bland and chewy, unfortunately. This was our first visit for our party of 6. No issues about the food dishes or service. Both were excellent. My only complaint is the tipping routine. When I got the bill, ($94.91) subtotal, I noticed a 20% tip was then added. That brought the total to $123.30. I don't like when a tip is included regardless of the service, but I know it is customary to do so for larger groups. Since the service and food met my expectations, I was okay with the tip being included. What I saw next though I didn't like. At the bottom of the receipt was a "suggested tip" area indicating figures for a 15, 18, or 20% tip - on top of the $123.30 total that already included a 20% gratuity! If I haven't reviewed my bill before paying, I would have paid more than doubled the tip. Just a word of caution. read more

I ordered the taro flavor and was disappointed that the boba in the bottom had a bitter taste. I ordered the hot Schezchuan mini hot pot. The chicken was tender but lacked flavor. Yum-o! I've gone twice now and both times were fresh and flavorful! The first time our ramen bowl came with all the accoutrements on the side to add to your ramen, but the second time they said they didn't serve that - it was later in the day, so thinking maybe they just stop after a certain time of day to save dishes closer to closing time? It was tender and crispy, probably my favorite chicken katsu that I've had! Although we shared our entrees, my boyfriend was the one that chose the soup and while the noodles and meat were perfect, the broth was kinda meh, in my opinion. I mostly blame this on my boyfriend more than the restaurant though, because he ordered miso broth out of all of the options, lmao. Ten Second Yunnan Rice Noodle, is a China-based restaurant chain that specializes in serving soup and hot pots. The soup is reminiscent of Japanese Ramen, but made with thin, white, soft rice noodles instead of chewy ramen noodles. Here, there are about 9 different types of broths to choose from including, pork, chicken, spicy kimchi, spicy Szechuan, tomato and others that can be customized with various meats and vegetables and other accoutrements to suit your individual tastes. The spice level of each broth is identified by a little hot pepper symbol . Based upon my server's recommendation, I selected the pork soup broth with beef and it was good. Besides soups and hot pots, there are several appetizers and rice plate dishes like teriyaki chicken, teriyaki shrimp, fried pork or fried chicken dish called katsudon. These all looked like delicious choices, but, I digress. Let's get back to the soup. The soup comes in a big bowl. You get to choose if you want the chef to combine the ingredients for you or if you want the server to bring everything to you "on the side" so you can make your own concoction. I played it safe and had the chef combine my soup; however, most of the experienced diners requested everything on the side. The Hot Pot People, were even cooking there own soup in big black pots. Kudos to them, but I was not ready for all of that. I was hungry and tired and I just wanted to eat the soup that was brought to me. Hey, don't judge me. Anyway, service may not have been 10 seconds, but it was extremely fast for those of us who beat the crowd. At my table, we asked a lot of questions and we ordered a trio of appetizers including fried dumplings, crab Rangoon and vegetable spring rolls. The waitstaff were very patient and kind and fast to bring our food. Right after we got the appetizers, the server wheeled out two big bowls of soup on a cart. On day one of 2023, there were just three servers working. I think the staff did a good job, but they were a bit overwhelmed with the number of guests dining with them on New Year's Day. Final foodie word of advice--don't go for hot pot on New Year's Day because it's a tradition for Chinese families to eat Hot Pot on New Year's Day. By the time I was leaving the restaurant there was standing room only, people were waiting to be seated and more people were still coming in to eat hot pot. I love hot pot so I was excited to give this place a try. It's a cute little place with a good bit of seating. It is located in a busy shopping center but when we went for lunch it wasn't crowded. We ordered the takoyaki and the fried dumplings for appetizers. Both were fried perfectly and tasted nice and fresh. For our hot pot we went with the pork bone broth and ordered the sliced beef, mixed mushrooms, noodles and tofu to add to it. There was also a little plate of small toppings like corn and lettuce that came with it. Everything was fresh and paired well with the rich broth. My favorite item was the mixed mushrooms. They have other selections you can eat, I can't remember but there's a huge bowl of pots that you can share with someone else or if you're really hungry can finish yourself. Everything is pretty affordable and you have a wide selection of broths to choose and eat from. If you're going to eat what I have, just be careful when eating because there is a little fire underneath that heats up the broth to cook your meat. It's new - modest decor - understaffed but super hospitable and friendly - it looks like a family run business. The menu was easy to understand.
