General Tso Chicken with Fried Rice and egg drop soup Dinner To Go Entree

Food was great, nice and hot! Large servings as well in my opinion. I feel like an egg roll can really make or break a place, this egg roll was super crunchy and had a good ratio of meat to veggie. $30 before tip

Such a great lunch!! Filling, fresh and very flavorful! We ordered through DoorDash, so I can't speak on the ambiance, but it was delivered packaged nicely and neatly.

After a long day downtown, my child and I decided to order in. This review in no way is dogging the delivery service. They were actually fantastic!! The restaurant however was a full bust. We ordered from Beijing House on O'Connor and I 35. I our past experience the had very tasty, authentic Lo Mein amd other traditional items from the menu had always been very satisfying and tasty. Tonight however the food was inedible. The Lemon Chicken had a sour smell and chewy texture. The Shrimp Lo Mein was dry, chewy and bland. Both dishes looked and tasted like the had been sitting under heat lamp and microwaved. One again NOT THE DELIVERY SERVICE ISSUE the food was delivered in a very quick, timely and professional manner. We reached out to the restaurant regarding the food and were told it was not their problem since we ordered through a delivery service. The delivery service was obviously not to blame for the quality of food. My son drove to the restaurant to attempt to get fresh food or refund. The manager at the restaurant was horrible and kept blaming the delivery service. M6 son called frim 5he restaurant to have me talk to the manager as he was not getting any resolve. We finally convinced them to replace the food. It was the exact dry, chewy blame noodles and the shrimp had zero flavor. They refused to replace my child's Lemon Chicken claiming too much had been eaten. The manager was very disrespectful and unprofessional to say the least.

2 Piece Summer Rolls, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Lo Mein, 1 Piece Egg Roll, Peanut Sauce

Kid tested. Mother approved! Shared an order of the Sweet and Sour chicken with Lo mein and an egg roll ($8.99 lunch/$11.99 dinner) with my little one last night (dinner) and I also ordered myself a Summer Roll ($6.99) since I'm not a big fan of fried foods. The egg roll was brought first and it was hot and delicious. Cut it into thirds and gave my little one some with the duck sauce. Little one ate it up as soon as it cooled down. During that time, my spring roll came out. Little one asked what it was and was hesitant to try it but I explained that it had fresh ingredients like cilantro, lettuce, cold vermicelli noodles wrapped in a rice paper, along with fresh shrimp and perfectly seasoned pork that and we dip it in the peanut sauce. Gave him a bit of the peanut sauce first and saw his eyes light up as he tasted the familiar peanut butter taste that most kids love. Mix that with the fresh spring roll and that kid took more than two big bites out of my order. Thankfully, the sweet and sour chicken meal arrived and he immediately started digging into the Lo mein noodles that were not dry at all (nor were they greasy, either) before moving over to the battered chicken and the bell peppers (his favorite) while completely skipping the sweet and sour sauce (it was really good though). In the end, he ate three of the generous sized pieces of chicken along with most of the Lo mein noodles before his little tummy said "all done". My husband finished the leftovers when we got home and loved it way more than the usual sweet and sour pork that he orders at other places (this place doesn't have S&S pork but the chicken more than makes up for it!). Service was great. Open seating and they brought out our waters quickly and along with a high chair for my little one. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. Prices were very affordable. Portion size generous and you definitely get your money's worth. All entries are served with fried rice, steamed rice or Lo mein AND EITHER an egg roll, veggie spring roll, egg-drop soup or hot & sour soup.

I went in for food to go for the first time. The restaurant was clean. They got my order right. The staff was friendly and very sweet. My bf got the lo mein combo he said it was alright. I got the sweet and sour chicken it was alright. I did like the egg rolls those were good. We got cheese rangoons too, they were good too. I did not like my fried rice at all. Honestly it tasted like the fried rice I make at home, store in the fridge and then reheat a day later. Not a fan. But if ur really craving Chinese it's not a bad option. We really need gooooood Chinese restaurants in Cibolo. There's none. So I drove to this one cause I was desperate. It wasn't the best. But it wasn't the worst either. Average. I'd go back. (If you want AMAZING Chinese and ok with a drive... go to China Stix on bulverde rd/evans).

Full and flavorful. Lo mein noodles were a bit different in taste, felt unseasoned. Soy sauce worked a bit but still had a strange taste.

It's a nice place inside but the food was severely lacking. I ordered the shrimp tempura (prepackaged). Sesame Chicken with steamed rice, Vietnamese coffee, beef and broccoli and shrimp fried rice. The food was cooked in old oil and rice was mushy. Coffee was strong and good but too sweet for me.

Ordered off Uber eats - as you can see, completely busted up. I'm giving it a three bc it does have good flavor.

Did a pick up order & Amazing service, Thank you Kay!! Went up and beyond for me and a few friends of mine. Definitely would come again. The food was so fresh and delicious!! The place kind of reminds me of a little old school restaurant but CLEAN!

    Egg Drop Soup

The chicken fried rice was bland and came with the option of an egg roll, spring roll, egg drop soup or hot and sour soup during lunch time. It was a generous portion of rice and the chicken was cooked well however it lacked in flavor. I tried the sauce they provided that seemed to be a mayo based sauce and it had flavor but not something I enjoyed eating with the rice. I chose the egg roll, it was crispy and tasty. My daughter had the egg drop soup and said it was okay. Service was quick and the restaurant was clean and spacious. I'd go back to try the Thai food options.

We tried some new-to-us dishes recently and generally found them to be very good. Orange Chicken was not overly battered, big chunks of white chicken meat, not too saucy and just a hint of spice. Real orange peel, too, which makes all the difference! We also ordered the Spicy Combination with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Carrots, peppers, bamboo in the dish provided a bit of veggie balance. Not our most favorite, but still very good. As per usual, we started with steamed dumplings and crab puffs; DH added a cup of egg drop soup- this place serves his favorite egg drop soup. Everything was delicious. I always ask for chili oil for that extra added kick! I do wish that the dishes labeled "spicy" were actually spicy. They really aren't spicy at all. Don't let the little pepper symbol deter you. Always clean, always prompt, always good!

If we want to go there for lunch, we try to get there as close to 11 am as possible when they first open. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.
