I was very nervous about getting microblading done and put it off for years, now I am a week out from having my follow up, touch up session completed with Lina. My eyebrows were never bad but the lure of never having to fill them in for a year or two was too much to resist - I couldn't be happier that I finally did it!! I knew the right person was crucial and I did my research. I passed on some other top searches that come up in Toronto - I found their approach, policies and attitudes overall very rigid and offputting for a service that costs more than $500. While I understand the need for it, I didn't feel like my business was welcomed and wasn't blown away enough by their work to want to change my brows with them. When I finally found Lina, I knew within minutes that my search was over. All of her work I saw on instagram and facebook was flawlessly natural looking. She had the right blend of professionalism, approachability as well as the skills to back it up. Working with her was a true pleasure, and she really worked with me and my schedule to the best of her abilities (difficult as I was flying in and out of Toronto for work). Additionally she was VERY scientific in her approach but worked with me on a certain aesthetic that I personally prefer on my face. She was very emphatic that I needed to be aware of what was natural and fit my face best, but still worked to fulfill my additional requests. I LOVE the final outcome. Her manner is calm, confident and kind. Pain level for me was minimal, certain strokes here or there could maybe be considered a 3/10 but most than 50% of them I didn't even feel and only knew she was working on me from her hand holding my skin in place. I experienced ZERO scabbing, and had a perfect and full recovery within a week. I was not perfect with my aftercare, I was very busy and kept forgetting one or two things but generally I stuck to it and was rewarded with a wonderful final result. Finally, Lina was very respectful of my request for privacy and never pushed me on this subject. The job she did was so natural and flush with my natural brows that not a single person has even noticed or asked if I've had anything done. To me, this is a HUGE success. It's not because the job she did was negligible, it's more that I used to do my brows every morning when I woke up, even on no-make up days I'd at least fill in my tails in 3 seconds even if i didn't have time to do a proper job on them. All this to say husband, sister and best friend since I was a baby didn't even notice a difference because the job Lina did looks even more natural than what I used to do with make up. Note - I didnt know Lina prior and haven't been paid or offered any services to write a review. I am writing my review about a month after the initial appointment and one day after my complementary touch up to make sure all little spots were covered. I had sparse-ish brows before microblading. Lina is a highly meticulous individual, with a super-professional manner. I love my eyebrows, I don't have to do any upkeep other than minor tweezing, and I am thrilled with the absolutely perfect results! Family and friends who know about my new brows are impressed and asking where I got them done! Even my colourist was commenting on how perfect the colour matching was. Lina is clear about her process and informs you of what she is doing all along the way. She is very calm and deliberate and inspires confidence - I mean this is your face and rather long lasting procedure - confidence is soooo important! Aftercare is carefully explained and I do recommend you follow her tips exactly in order to see perfect results. She gives you a little post care kit and even a Lindt chocolate which was just awesome (yay chocolate!). Healing takes a few days and is very unnoticeable. Not one person mentioned any redness or unusual appearance during those first few days. This is a 3/10 on the pain meter type of procedure and it is pretty brief as the micro strokes keep moving. I found myself sneezing a bit, and to tell the truth that was more bothersome for me than any pain. Poor Lina had to keep backing away so I could sneeze :) She has lots of Kleenex ;) Overall, this was an absolutely wonderful decision, and I am glad I did my research up front and knew to go to someone who was well trained and took their time. I felt safe, was shown a sealed bag of instruments for hygiene concerns, the music and space was quiet and calming, and Lina is just so competent, I could not be more complementary without seeming like a weirdo. The space is in the basement of a yorkville salon, and while this is not an issue for me as I am not there for dinner and dancing or ppl watching, it may bother some ppl who like the whole above ground spa feel. Since my eyes were closed mostly, I think that the service, skill and care are more important than a flashy looking room. Lina is a person who is there to work hard and carefully and she couldn't have made me feel more welcome and happy with the final results! I will definitely recommend her to everyone and will definitely be back! read more

What can I say other than Lina is Microblading meets perfection. Her precise, soft and mastered technique is a testament to not only her talent and skill but her passion for her craft or rather her art. Lina was paramount in assessing a previously inept Microblading artist's work that all but ruined my skin and led to a less than desirable outcome. Lina guided me through the process of removal with an equally talented colleague and saw me for consultation before and after this process to provide reassurance and a skilled assessment of my options going forward. When it came time to go to work on my brows, Lina was not only a comforting presence but her technique was flawless and hardly required any of the numbing agent most Microblading technicians use to minimize discomfort. This again is a testament to her technique and skill - one hardly needs anything as there is little to no discomfort much less any pain. I, then, returned to see Lina for my included touch up about 6 weeks later and unfortunately my colour had not retained through no fault of her's but rather the likely fault of the experience I had with the previous Microblading technician (using this word to describe this individual as artist hardly seems fitting for her unqualified level of skill and heavy-handed, poor technique). Lina was very upfront with my options yet again and she patiently sat with me to talk, restoring my optimism in the process before she again masterfully worked on my brows for a beautiful, symmetrical and classic result. Overall, my Microblading experience with Lina, to date, has been exceptional and without regret. Lina has completely restored my faith in this process and the hope that I can one day achieve my fully desired result. I hope to do this through continued sessions with Lina, with her personable nature and her absolute commitment to providing her clients with a process that is seamless and without a doubt, skilled. Make no mistake that booking your Microblading experience with Lina Tran is one you will not regret!! Oh and I should also mention that Lina was also integral in helping me achieve a more than satisfactory experience with colouring my hair. Lina works with my already highlighted tresses to achieve a colour that I was told, but yet another inept professional, was not possible. I traveled 4 hours to go to Lina and it was worth the investment of time and money to have her microblading expertise. I found Lina after researching for hours all the different techniques and certifications. I chose Lina for two reasons. The first being her certification and also because I read that she's an artist and also a perfectionist. Having an artist work on you who is certified is definitely important. When I read the detailed reviews from so many satisfied customers I knew she'd be the one I'd trust. Lina wasincredibly professional and sweet she immediately put me at ease. She was highly responsive when I texted her and was sure to remind me of the do's and dont's leading up to the procedure and the aftercare. Some other microblading sites discussed how you are left to choose your eyebrow and I am so grateful she explained that isn't how she works. She explained that she takes careful measurements and her entire goal is to follow the natural shape of my eyebrows. She is a perfectionist and I loved how many times she went back and forth to get it "just right". Finally, she showed me her plan and explained everything she had done. I was extremely nervous about the procedure since I have no pain tolerance. (Seriously, if I stub my toe I want to go to emergency.) The procedure was no big deal at all and was exactly like she described "velcro on the skin". Afterward, she reminded me of the aftercare and even provided me a take home bag which was incredibly helpful for the first day. My brows are awesome and you cannot tell the difference even closeup. A couple of hours after the procedure we went out for dinner and I was completely pain free. I think the best part is I've seen family and friends since having it done and not one person has noticed. Lina is AWESOME. I honestly can't rave about her and her microblading skills enough!!! I visited Lina for microblading services and from the beginning Lina was extremely friendly and informative. She met me for an initial consultation and answered every question I had with ease. When it came down to the microblading, she was extremely professional and very meticulous. She had great instincts when it came to the shape and size of my brows (she initially draws them on for you to see before starting the microblading process) but she also welcomed my feedback. On subsequent sessions, she agreed to try out darker dye colours and modified the shape/length of my brows. She explained every step along the way and always made sure I was comfortable/not in pain. I don't have a great pain tolerance so it wasn't a walk in the park, but it was definitely manageable (even for me) and SO worth it for the end result. I've had so many people compliment me on my brows and I have even referred 5 people to Lina - 2 of whom have already completed their sessions and are also equally in love with their brows. I have seen Lina 3 times now (initial session + 2 follow-ups). The first two times the strokes did not take very well (they looked great initially, but then peeled leaving little dye underneath), but Lina was persistent and said she would continue to do my brows until they stuck! Third time was a charm! My brows now look PERFECT and it's been about 3 weeks since my last session. Most people probably wouldn't request a touch-up, but being a perfectionist I am going back a fourth time and will only need 4 or 5 strokes at the most - which Lina has been happy to accommodate. It was a nightmare looking for a professional hairdresser since I was 16. I finally found the one hairdresser that I will stay with for as long as I live. Lina is my go-to-girl for my all around hair needs. I've been continuously going to her for about 3 years (going strong) and have never came out looking anything close to 'basic'. I go to Lina for all my hair cuts, trims, color, washes, blow outs, etc. I don't just consider Lina as my hairdresser. Well, maybe at first I did. But now, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. At first I was just in awe of her skills but as we talked more and more I began to realize this girl became more my friend as well. Going for my hair cut and receiving a blowout is by far much effective than therapy. The relationship between a woman and her hairdresser is a very intimate one. The hairdresser is like a fairy godmother to the modern woman. Instead of the obvious magic wand, they have magic scissors, granting us wishes and making us beautiful. You are physically very close while she is cutting your hair and there is something about sitting in that chair that makes you want to talk and reveal secrets. I tell Lina things I would never tell anyone else and she's been with me through all the ups and downs for the past 3 years. I completely trust her with my secrets. I have to admit, I was EXTREMELY nervous about having this done. After doing my research I decided to give it a go and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Lina was professional and did and incredible job (see photo) - listening and delivering exactly what I asked for. Details: Very clean place with a great atmosphere (she even put on my preference of music). She's very genuine and friendly which made me feel comfortable (and again, I was very nervous - palm sweating kind of nervous so this was crucial to me). She made sure to talk me through every step, showing me the CLEAN & STERILIZED tools she used. The place was super easy to find and the whole process was 'digital' which, for me, was fantastic. What I mean is that all the forms and payment could all be done easily and simply through my mobile device. No printing and manual work! The consultation and prep work was all explained thoroughly - she was very tolerant of my nagging and repeated worries. This will now be something I will be doing regularly. I initially had eye brown tatto done 2 years ago by someone not so great at her job, it was not even shape and faded to red. Luckly it was fading and I was so done with having to draw my brow everyday and was on hunt for reliable and talented artist for micro blading. I was recommended Lina thru a friend and start following her on instagram and was loving the work she have done and decided to go with her. I have super oily skin and dont have the best tolerance for pain and was giving Lina hard time about the shape because I like it thicker and straighter like the korean style. AMAZING! If you're looking for someone to shape your brows to look full, natural and beautiful then Lina's your gal. She takes the time to contour to your natural frontal bone structure. She'll measure with a tool, feel the bone structure with her fingers and have you make different facial expressions to ensure she's working to make your brows look natural and complementary to your face. My natural eyebrows are not only sparse, from over plucking in the 90's, but parts of them are so blond they are almost translucent, so it looks like I have bald spots. Lina told me she's a realism painter and it shows in her brow strokes. They are set naturally along the brow in varying directions just like natural brows grow. My brows are now full and beautiful and I wish I had them done sooner. People that don't know are shocked when I tell them I had microblading done, it looks so natural they can't even tell. I cannot say enough good things about Lina's professionalism and talent. I was hesitant to get my eyebrows microbladed because it is semi-permanent and will not look right if it is not done correctly. Lina is amazing! She took the time to make sure that my brows are truly symmetrical and that I was happy with the shape before proceeding - no eyeballing, she took exact measurements to make sure they were perfect. She also explained everything that she was doing so that I was comfortable with the process and had confidence in her abilities. The results are incredible. I am so happy with my new brows and get constant compliments on them. While her studio is not the most glamorous it is very clean and comfortable and she has a true artistic talent that shows through in the final results. Lina is amazing! I went to see her for microblading. She really took the time to measure my brows and make sure they looked symmetrical and complimented my face. She was super friendly and professional. She really loves what she does and you can tell with the results. I love that she took proper measurements and didn't rush the appointment. Dawn saw me for my microblading appointment and my eyebrows have never looked better! I've had very uneven eyebrows my whole life and with over-plucking, very mismatched and sparsely populated ones. It took me a long time to draw them in every morning now for years and the use of many products. SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY! I went in for a microblading appointment with Dawn and I couldn't be happier with the results. My brows were thin with few hairs.
