They were all "sweetness and light" in trying to help me when my husband was leaving the facility, but when he passed, due to ineptness of the facility, they continued to bill me. I cannot get the bills straightened out. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. read more

The company is terrible, your customer service is non existent and you are going to send me to collections for $200 which I would gladly give you with a smile if anyone would get on the frigging phone. One star only because I can't leave no stars.Terrible customer service, if they had any. New patient, returning first call and have spent over an hour and a half in call queues, transferred multiple times only to hung up on when I finally reached someone who was exceptionally rude. ("What is this in regard to?") Transferred again. Guy answers phone and promptly disconnects the call. Not sure how they stay in business. Will be calling my doctor and will not be doing business with these guys. read more

My initial visits were fine. Last June I switched from my employers insurance to Medicare because I retired. It is now 10 months later and after repeated phone calls with multiple people from this office ( who ALL told me something different and ALL promised to call me back) I still have not received a phone call and they still haven't figured out how to switch me over to Medicare so that I can buy supplies and have them covered by my Medicare and Medicare Supplement. So, now retired I have been purchasing my own supplies out-of-pocket. An expense I had not budgeted for when retiring. How hard can this be? If you have a choice use a different provider. read more

The Charlottesville Lincare Inc. office and staff are great. They helped me get the best C-PAP machine and equipment I needed and were very professional and caring in the process. Unfortunately the Lincare C-Pap supply and billing people (not in Charlottesville) were problematic when getting information or help. They were very fast in getting someone on the phone to take my order, but when I wanted to find out about my bill I waited on hold for over 45 minutes before I gave up. I tried several times and never got anyone to speak to in billing. I am being charged for rent that should be covered under my insurance and I can't get to speak to anyone to correct the problem, before it gets worse, and there is only one phone number for the company. I give 5 stars for the Charlottesville office but only 1 star for the rest of the company read more

Worse company ever! They took of my American Home Patient account and without authorization started to ship me supplies monthly. When I called them to return they told me to call shipping but could not credit me and I would have to call their billing department. Then they charged me double and couldn't tell me what I was being charged for. I never got a return credit for the supplies I sent back and now when I was originally billed for $34 it sky rocketed to $244! I haven't even received another shipment so why am I being charged $210 more!!! It has been 9 months and they still can't get my bill straight. You have been warned! read more

I did a sleep study back in November of 2022. I was told 2 weeks And I would have my cpap. three weeks pass and I call lincare who says they are backed up and will have it by the end of December. few more weeks pass and I call and they say they are backed up and promised I would have it by January 27. I called today February 3rd to find out that they haven't even submitted it to my insurance for approval 3 months after my sleep test..... doesn't get too much worse than that read more

About five years ago, I started needing supplemental oxygen and I contacted a local company that was recommended by my pulmonologist. It was a nightmare that left me in tears several times. Then I switched to Lincare in Charlottesville and my whole experience changed. Their customer service is better than any company that I've ever worked with. They are prompt, very knowledgeable, very friendly and they do what they say they're going to do. When people need life saving medical equipment, you can feel vulnerable and overwhelmed. I don't understand all the bad reviews, I was treated very good here. They showed me all the aspects of my CPAP machine including the maintenance of it. She was able to answer every additional question I had. I left feeling very good and can not wait to try my CPAP tonight. read more

While I always receive polite and thorough service when contacting or visiting the local office, I always experience incredibly poor service when re-ordering supplies from the "corporate" 800 number. Local office - exceptionally good. Follow-up service when needing to re-order supplies - exceptional bad. read more

I recently contacted Michael with an issue regarding my CPap machine. He promptly returned my phone call and scheduled a visit for the following day. I arrived at the office and was greeted by several of his co-workers. Shortly after arriving I met with Michael and my CPap issue was quickly resolved. Michael also took the time to help me add the ResMed app to my phone and get registered. Service was quick and great. We are lucky to have such a great team member in Charlottesville. read more

I have used Lincare before. When I needed a new CPAP, I went back to them. Apparently, when I had not ordered any supplies from them in a year, they dumped me from their customer list, which I do not think is a good business practice. I have been trying now for two months to get my new CPAP, and have received nothing but a runaround, and mistruths. It is one thing after another. It amazes me that this company is still in business. I would not recommend them at all. read more

They took over American Home Patient and have messed up all of my supplies since. Sent my new CPAP machine set to a former prescription. Got mad when I re-set it myself. Sent a new humidifier chamber to fit my old machine. Sent a stupid pink mask just because I am female totally ignoring what I am supposed to get. How insulting, do that think all women buy products that are pink? What a bunch of chauvinists. Sent large bore tubing when the machine they sent is set for slimline. It appears that they either ignored or discarded the information transferred from AHP. As soon as my new machine is clearly mine, I will be getting my supplies from a competent company. read more

2- 1/2 years new to Charlottesville from Northern VA where I had gotten my CPAP from Lincare in Chantilly. Somehow, though I had asked, Lincare in C'ville never contacted me when I moved here. So, I got service at Martha Jeff. Hosp., and that was fine. But, MJH no longer services CPAPs, and they handed me off to another distant supplier. So, this morning I called Lincare in C'ville, and I had a wonderfully helpful chat with Toby. He found my records, and transferred them to this location, and he answered all my questions...for instance, he verified that they carry Phillips DreamWear nasal pads. Now I have a local place to go for face-to-face consultations about my equipment, replacements, etc. Very reassuring. Especially so, because the "800-pound bear" outfit here in C'ville is not noted for cordial or helpful customer service when it comes to CPAPs. read more
