I have had the pleasure to come across Lincare Portland location for my CPAP supplies. It's been a great experience working with Teri at Lincare to set up everything I needed to get started. She did all the work for me , she called my doctor getting prescriptions and all the appropriate paperwork needed to get me started. Within a few days I was able to get a quick appointment with Lincare to pick up my CPAP machine and supplies, Everyone seems really friendly, polite and extremely professional. You can't contact a human. Live chat only provides options to choose from which didn't provide any options I needed. They sent out a faulty A tank regulator, and I can't get any help to get it replaced. I've called, texted, live chatted and only got AI which just goes in circles and never answers my questions or provides any real help. My brother is terminally ill, without oxygen he will die. These crooks will do everything possible to steal money from sick people. I spent HOURS on hold to get them to pick up equipment so they would stop charging me. They sent me a bill for 10 months at once - which I can't nor won't pay. Most of their Service Reps were rude, dismissive and just threatened me with COLLECTIONS. Since they sent a commode that only a child would fit, I called about getting a suitable one for an adult. NO response from them about my call. Then we got charged for that item that wouldn't work, even though they told me they would NOT charge the patient for the item. Of course, then came a 2nd bill for the same unusable item. I called AGAIN and was told it was in process to remove the charge, but I should call 888 547 0707 because they were the local Linacre business. Guess what? It was NOT Linacre but some FREE Fall Alert device co. Found the local number and so far, NO one is answering. I hope I NEVER have to do business with LINCARE again. What a waste of my time when they could have easily solved this back in the beginning of October. I finally got through today and the rep, ROB, from the Philipines. The call center noise in the background was so bad, I mentioned the noise and he muted me but didn't hang up. That was BAD! I guess he didn't want to talk to a dissatisfied customer. Now, I'm calling the number on their bill when I called yesterday and talked to Chelsea, a fellow from the Philippines, who gave me the WRONG number yesterday. LinCare might be the WORST customer service company I've ever dealt with. I hope someone from LinCare reads this review. FIX YOUR COMPANY and bring service back customer service to the US!!! Do not deal with this company if you are in need of medical supplies. I have been waiting for supplemental oxygen to be delivered for almost two weeks 11 days to be exact and now it's fast approaching Friday evening and will have to wait until Monday now. My oxygen levels have been in the mid 70% on room air and my doctor has been calling nearly daily as have I to get oxygen delivered. I am fully insured but getting medical supplies to patients is not a priority they are either very understaffed and over worked or...... I don't know but if you require medical equipment to live go elsewhere. read more

I'm power of Attorney for my friend. This company took away his oxygen bottle that he came home with from the hospital at 10AM when their drive took it back because on orders from his manager. My friend did not have the insurance copay of $18.xx to provide. So for 3 hours he went without any Oxygen tanks. It would have been forever if I had not made multiple calls and even a four way call from my cell phone to insure he got O2 back by 7PM. This company looks to be for profit only! read more

Absolutely worthless company and customer service. Our prescription for oxygen equipment went unfilled over three weeks. We received zero updates in that time. When we followed up, they said they received (magically!) the authorization they were waiting for that day. Then a different person proceeded to tell us they could not fill said order because it timed out and was cancelled. After over three weeks with no oxygen, we had to start from scratch, with a different order, and needed to get a new, different authorization. Obtaining and distributing equipment to their customer is the company's primary objective, and they failed. Conversely, because we DID have to start over, we contacted a different company (Norco) and the oxygen was delivered the next day! Amazing how it works when you get a company and staff who actually cares. A word to the wise: 'Customer service' rep Bryan could not be more of a woman-hater and mansplainer. He could not answer simple questions about our oxygen prescription and why it hadn't been filled. He did not adequately know how to navigate their internal system. He was patronizing, could not care less about the customer who was in pain, and had the worst attitude I've ever experienced in the field. He failed to answer my questions and instead said things like 'I don't have a medical degree so I can't tell you what to do.' (Good! I hadn't asked you what to do, I'd actually asked the price of the equipment!), and 'Typically when you speak with someone on the phone you say goodbye when hanging up.' (Really? I had no idea! Thanks for mansplaining that to me, particularly when it has nothing to do with the issue at hand! Glad you're wasting more of my time not addressing the answers to my questions, being evasive, and abysmally inappropriate at the same time!) Sir Bryan deemed it his job to hand out societal bon mots and best practices rather than fulfill his actual job duties. Eyebrow raising to say the least. He did not care for a woman to give back what she received from him, and instead put me on hold, failed to show compassion, failed to treat the customer with respect, failed to even fake an attitude of caring, failed to answer the questions I asked, and then tried to cancel my order to 'customer behavior' because he didn't appreciate me holding his feet to the fire and asking specific questions he didn't have the answers to. At no point did I yell, did I curse, etc. I was simply firm and asked the questions repeatedly because he wouldn't - or couldn't - answer them. He didn't like it and was defensive about his ineptitude. His supervisor tried to defend him, and then gave up once I filled him in on the conversation we'd had. He is a sad little man with a chip on his should grasping at what little 'power' he has to hold over people. The fact that he's power playing with medicine for sick people makes it psychopathic in nature, much less absolutely narcissistic because he wants his feet kissed in order to simply do his job. The other people I dealt with were only slightly less abhorrent. The company and people are a waste of time and space. Avoid at all costs. read more

Absolutely would not recommend. I was referred to their office for critical medical equipment. Well over a month went by, and I never heard from them. I called multiple, multiple times. On the rare occasion that I actually reached someone in their office on the phone, they refused to explain what the hold up was, never took notes on the calls (there was literally no record of me calling over and over again!), and were downright rude and didn't seem to mind that I wasn't getting called back. Each person kept telling me they would call me back -- which, as you can imagine, never happened. I have been billed for a nebulizer comptessor for over a year!!! And so has medicare...I have my own, I own it...I contacted them every month about this, but to no avail!!! All I got were the attachments for the compressor...I believe this is Medicare fraud and I'm going to report them. These folks have interesting billing practices. If you have private insurance (not medicare) they use a spreadsheet to keep track of your billing info! My bills from them were coming with numbers that did not correspond to my insurance EOBs (explanation of Benefits). They were charging me 20% and not revising the figures once the insurance paid out. You have to call them if your insurance covers a different percentage AND you have to call them when you have reached your max out-of-pocket and owe them zero. They will still charge you 20%. No revisions to customer bills are made when the insurance pays them. If you'd like the money that they owe you, you have to call to request it, they will not automatically send it to you. read more

Two months ago, the doctor ordered a walker for my husband, who is a Medicare patient. His health continues to decline and we have yet to receive the walker. On calling Lincare all I got was gibberish that it takes 60-90 days to process the order. I asked if it would be possible to get the walker before the patient died. She hung up on me when I asked her if this wasn't a very long time to have to wait for a walker. Incompetent. read more

This is a disgusting company. The staff are very good at being polite and will create the illusion of being helpful, but in reality they are deceptive and manipulative. They always have an excuse for why you are not getting what has been ordered, and it's never their fault: the doctor didn't fax the order (yes, he did -- three times), they didn't have the medicare number (yes, they did -- both the doctor's office and I supplied it), they needed a doctor's note that documented the need (they didn't really need it, but the doctor had supplied it because of past experiences with these deadbeats). I had negative experiences with them in the past, which made me vow never to deal with them again. But then my father's doctor sent them an order for something he needed, and the same old garbage began again. I finally told the doctor's office that I would not deal with Lincare. I found a place that managed to fulfill the order in just three days, after a month of trying to deal with Lincare. Everyone reading this, go to Sound Health Medical instead! read more

When I returned equipment to Lincare, I insisted on getting a receipt, which they reluctantly provided since I refused to leave until I got it. Yet they have continued to try to collect on a debt not owed in spite of providing proof of the return. Today I received a letter stating that to avoid further collection activity and protect my credit standing I should pay their bill. When I called the number to dispute it, I was disconnected. The company's billing practices are the most incompetent I have ever encountered. If these fraudulent collection efforts impact my credit, I believe I will pursue damages. read more

i too have a enbilzer machine from lincare,, had a lincare rep bring my machine and solution ,, when i got the bill for the solution ,, i got billed 22 dollars for the solution for 1 box ,, i called them up told them i did not order the solution told them to take one box of solution back ,, because they billed my credit card 22 dollars,, i have insurance told them i only have to pay 2.35 per solution box why would i order the solution ,, when i got the bill kept billing more money ,, finally took care of the bill ,, next time i need a enebilzer machine ,, i will buy it some place else read more

I had experienced a 10-year, excellent, stable relationship with my Lincare provider in another state, ... until I moved. But the move process began a pretty bad chain. Couldn't get my case transferred despite contacting previous, local & national offices. Called ave. every 2-3 weeks for 9-10 months. Continued to be charged for returned equipment (that finally was corrected both with me & with Medicare). Called to order new CPAP supplies & was told that my case had been closed due to no use of services for 6 months, & therefore, I now would require a new physician's order. I'm exhausted with Lincare. Planning to ask my physician, when I can see him in two months, to refer me to his best recommendation. read more

Atrocious is not a strong enough word for this company's service. Today I have been sent on a wild goose chase to God-only-knows how many Lincare phone numbers and have been on hold for minutes totaling more than hours, all in an attempt to try and sign up as new customer for supplies. Never in my life have I received this kind of service. The only reason I've persisted is that this is the one company contracted with my insurance company from which I can get my needed supplies. I am so disappointed that this company purports to help seniors. I think I understand more about their referral log and internal processes than the people who answer the phone and give me the same lines every time. I have been trying to help my mother in law get a walker since FEBRUARY, it is now MAY, and Lincare has "never heard" of my mother in law, or received any of the half-a-dozen faxed orders that have been sent from her doctor. I called and complained to Medicare, and they recommend we use Centennial Medical Equipment, an alternative Medicare approved DME provider, who can be reached at 1-503-968-5281. read more

I am a healthcare professional who will notify any physician who has a medicare patient to not use them, because they simply do not supply necessary equipment in a timely manner. I will be notifying my congresswoman and senators that the lowest-bid contracts are resulting in long delays for pts rights being violated by not getting what they need. I will report them to Medicare as not being deserving of another Medicare contract. read more

In our first dealings with them, they cheated us out of money by charging us full price for equipment and not refunding after our insurance paid them for most of the charge. I called several times and they kept promising refunds, but never came through with them. My second dealings were so similar to Sue S.'s review it was remarkable. After a month of trying to get a new CPAP from them, being told they hadn't gotten the faxxed orders, etc. etc. we finally went with another company, who got us the machine within one week. A big problem with Lincare is that they seem to be the only company Medicare will pay. How can we get this changed? read more

My doctor informed me that Lincare would be phoning me about 4/3/19-4/9/19 to deliver and set me up with a DME machine with a RUSH order, but never heard from them. On 4/10, I called my doctor's office from out-of-town now, and to tell them that I hadn't heard from Lincare, and the next opportunity to set me up with the medical equipment would be the week of 4/15; they contact Lincare and "straighten things out and" inform me I should be hearing from Lincare that day; its 4/18, and no contact from Lincare. WOW! I'm glad my condition is not an urgent issue. read more

Lincare is not perfect. My only problem with them is getting replacement hoses for my oxygen machine. Usually have to call twice.

My mom passed away 2 months ago I called several times for them to pick up her O2, I gave up and took it back myself. Have the paper work showing the return. They sent me a bill for $35.00 which I was going to pay but received a call stating that we did not have to pay this. Now I'm getting another bill this time for $77.00. and she is no longer with us. and they are stating that we still have the equipment. Don't go with this company. read more
