Service - Super friendly and courteous staff, came right over to bring us a baby seat and then provided us with menus. This is my favorite place in NJ !!! I eat here at least 3 times a week. My only complaint, is it's not open for dinner !!! The hot lunch is great !!! As my hunt for a great Taylor ham, egg and cheese continues, I wound up at this little corner grill. Employees were excellent. I called in my sandwich order and it was ready 7 minutes later as I walked in. Can't beat that. As I'm waiting on line, the five customers ahead of me were each getting an empanada or two as well. Now my curiosity is racing. So obviously, I had to get a chicken and a beef empanada as well! Let's start with the breakfast sandwich. Excellent. Gooey cheese and layered perfectly. 2 pieces of Taylor ham, egg in the middle and 2 pieces of Taylor ham. The formula was perfect. I always get it on a round roll. These guys use a sesame seed roll which i wasn't thrilled with but........ it wasn't a game change luckily. The Empanadas were out of this world. They were juicy and spiced just right. What a perfect little brunch spot. Surprisingly the second time we went, there wasn't as much of a crowd. I attested it to the summer shore months. This place was PACKED the first time we went but they still found a way to seat us in a short period of time. There are several people that come in and out for takeout as well. We've gotten menus and weren't sure if it was the same thing on the chalk board behind the service counter... Idk what it is but something could be slightly more clear. Been wanting to come here for a long time, but never stopped in I'm glad I did today. Nice clean well kept place. Very friendly service. So many choices but I was in the mood for empanadas and a burrito. I got a cheese empanada and the chicken empanada both very good size and very tasty along with some pink sauce. Lincoln Grill Cafe is a good place to visit for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. You get good food for the price you pay, a great bang for your buck! The inside is simple, yet clean and nice. I came here for a late breakfast and started off with some empanadas. I got one beef and one cheese with no complaints from either. They are a good size at a fair price! I then got the Latin fried steak and eggs which came with home fries. Let me tell you, for $9, you get a very generous portion. I try not to overly eat much for breakfast and even took some food home. The meat was as good as you can get for $8 but do not get me wrong it was satisfying and the eggs were cook well. What is also nice here is that they got a juice bar which serves some fresh drinks, that also includes shakes and coffee. I got the "Bugs Bunny " which has carrot, ginger, and apple. It was a nice drink to have in the morning! With the great prices here, I would definitely come back to try some of their other offerings and any specials that are available! Just OK, don't see what the hype is about. Got a 4-meat omelette. Chorizo tasted old and funky. I asked for cheddar and they gave me American. Toast wasn't toasted and they put some margarine like product on it, not butter. Wife got an egg white omelette that was really overcooked. They don't skimp on the meat which is unusal these days. Right from the start, Annecia (not sure if I'm spelling that correct) was kind, helpful, accommodating and patient with my dozens of questions. She made sure to confirm the order when I called the day of and followed through on my request to have "lots of extra sauce." The empanadas came on time (a little earlier which was even better), and they were delicious!! We got beef and chicken, and they were LOADED with meat. The empanada shell was crispy and warm, and the fillings were well seasoned. These were also a large size, and everyone was full after two. The staff ran to eat these with the provided sauces. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauces, but everyone else was. I considered a few other places like Gourmet Express and Noches de Colombia in Paterson, but I am so glad I got to try this place. If your on a diet, stay away because you will even see the grease sifting thru that brown bag. I decided to try the panini sandwich with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and pesto sauce which did not disappoint. For $5.50 which included a bag of chips was a great lunch deal. I was craving Latin food for lunch and Lincoln Grill hit the spot. I've enjoyed their empanadas here before but was in the mood for a Cuban sandwich. It was my lucky day, cause their Cuban panini was delicious. Pressed between the perfectly toasted bread were tender pieces of pernil, ham, pickles, swiss cheese, with a mayo and mustard spread. The size is about a foot long so it can be shared, but I practically devoured the entire thing. What a tasty and delightful sandwich. I also ordered a side of tostones and snuck a couple pieces in and brought the sandwich over the top! Their empanadas are fantastic too. Delicious deep fried pockets filled with either chicken, beef, or cheese. The filling is what sets these babies apart from other empanadas I've had. The chicken is moist and flavorful. The beef is not the typical ground beef but tender slices of slow roasted beef that is seasoned well. It also comes with a side of spicy green sauce or spicy mayo, which is a must in my book. My family ordered take out so I can't speak for the dine in service, but our order was ready within 15 minutes which is pretty good considering it was an order for 6 ppl. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. $1.50 for an empanada, $6.25 for a Cubano. Overall, a great spot for a Latin lunch and I'm definitely coming back again for that Cuban sandwich. read more

Nice cafe on the corner of a busy street bordering Hawthorne and Fair Lawn. The two young ladies behind the counter were very friendly and took the time to help me decide what I should try. Being in the mood for lunch (they'll serve breakfast later in the day!) I went with their chicken and beef empanadas, with a side of yellow rice, black beans and sweet plantains. I love Lincoln Grill! The only down side is that it's not open on Saturday. :/ The girls manning the restaurant are always friendly and know many of the regulars by name.
