My husband stopped in to pick up breakfast for us at Dee's this morning. He said everyone was extremely nice and the place itself is very cute and clean. Very hometown feeling! I received one of the best TEC Sandwiches I've had in a while. An extremely well done classic. I just wish my home fries were a little more crispy and then I could give a 5/5 review, but now I know to ask for them more well done. Definitely worth a visit for the classics! read more

When when I come from Florida, it's one of the first places I stop at. I have myTaylor ham and egg and cheese on a hard roll with home fries, and my whole family comes with me or 5+ me and they never have any complaints. It's like going back into the 1960s and 50s and they have real hashbrowns not a patty they also keep the coffee flowing. read more

Ladies were nice but food was terrible. Ordered two grilled chicken wraps and asked for lettuce on them. They put one single piece of lettuce on the wraps. Not asking for a whole salad but come on, one singular piece of lettuce?? One of the wraps was completely doused in cheese while the other barely had any. I love cheese but whatever cheese this was tasted faker than kraft singles. Chicken was dry and flavorless which makes no sense because the wraps were dripping grease. Absolute waste of money. Worst wrap I've ever had in my life. Ambiance was alright. read more

How have I lived so close and never tried this place ? The parking is the only pain because of the Hawthrone cops but it's not the owners fault ! They literally wait to give tickets I just parked a little far and walked it was nice out . The staff is so pleasant right away they made me feel like a regular! My waitress was very sweet and she seemed to know every customer. Honestly this is my new breakfast spot . The home fries were not greasy at all and were plain which I love I hate when there are peppers and onions. Very crisp and tasty . Scrambled eggs were light and wonderful . My sister and I decided to stop by for a late breakfast before running some errands in the area. We always drive by Dee's on the way to her house and never thought to stop in until some of her friends in the area recommended the place. Looking back, we realized that Dee's is always packed after Sunday mass at the nearby church, so it all started to make sense haha We walked in and immediately got the classic diner vibe - vinyl flooring and table tops, hardcover books on sale for $4, and the lottery available for purchase. We were greeted immediately and told to sit anywhere we would like. The menus are placed at each table, which is awesome since we were looking for speedy service since we had a long day ahead of us. My sister ordered the french toast with two over-medium eggs. I ordered three pancakes, two eggs over-medium, and bacon. We also ordered a side of hash brown patties to share. My sister's french toast was made using normal white sliced bread, but was soaked perfectly and super cinnamon-y. I'm a huge cinnamon fan, so this was awesome. It came buttered as requested and it just made the french toast taste like an unraveled cinnamon roll. My pancakes were very spongey and almost tasted like a zeppole! I hate dry pancakes, so the spongey texture was very welcomed. I also requested butter on my pancakes, and they were very generous with their application. The bacon came out exactly as we ordered (well done) and the hash browns were classic. It all hit the spot. I loved that they had different syrups available including sugar-free for those watching sugar intake. The waitresses were all SO attentive and welcoming. I couldn't have had a better experience at Dee's and can't wait to come back. FYI: cash only! read more

This was my first visit to Dee's Luncheonette. It was a Sunday at 10:45am. I ordered the Chorizo Skillet with 2 eggs (scrambled) with spicy potatoes and whole wheat toast from the Specials list on the blackboard. The wait was 45 minutes due to the crowd coming in from church nearby. Luckily, since I had a road race that got cancelled, I had lots of time on my hands. The employees were all very busy which doesn't allow much opportunity for small chat. I eventually enjoyed my meal at the counter while watching Governor Chris Christie on an ABC news show. The food, service and atmosphere were all great. The only drawback other than the wait during peak times are the packs of cigarettes behind the counter which I assume are for sale. read more

I love this place. Moved to the area about a year ago and I go at least once a week for a breakfast sandwich. Definitely the best I've ever had! All the women are so sweet! My boyfriend likes that they call him honey LOL. What I like most is the charm of this place. I luckily stumbled upon Dee's Luncheonette on a search for a breakfast place after my granddaughter's soccer practice. What a find! It is truly a locals neighborhood place that has a cozy, welcoming, nostalgic feel. It is nestled in a community and was most likely a private home at one time. If you don't appreciate a " back in the day" place, then it's not for you. I however, love to find these iconic places that bring me back. The staff is very friendly, as were the other diners.....my granddaughter thought it was " cool" and appreciated the homey feel.....she said she felt like we were visiting the people. The menu is all the classics for breakfast/brunch, although I don't think they have the " boogie " offerings of other BRUNCH places, which again is fine with me. The food was delicious and was served pretty quickly. We had chocolate chip pancakes, pumpkin nut pancakes and scrambled eggs and bagel. There is the expected counter seating if desired and table service. I always think the counter seating harkens back to the good old days. There is also a small tent for outdoor dining. Seemed like only street parking from what I could tell, but it's a quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed the stroll. The prices were extremely reasonable and portions very substantial. I come here for breakfast fairly regularly and have always been welcomed warmly, the service is good and the food options are standard fare and tasty. Some specials each day. Went in for breakfast recently. A half dozen old ladies crowded around the front blocking the entrance. Place is quite dated and has an older clientele. No greeting, just find your seat on your own it seems. I ordered an omelet with toast and home fries with coffee. Coffe was decent, omelet was dry, toast was burnt black on one side and potatoes were not fully cooked. Be very careful if you use the restroom (there is only one). you have to wedge your way in because the single fixture (bowl) is about nine inches from the door. None of the all female staff looked happy to be there. read more

Very casual, nice friendly atmosphere, homemade daily specials, neighborhood hangout for breakfast & lunch. Wandered in about 11:45 A.M.and asked if I could still get breakfast???? I got the "you've got to be kidding look" but they were willing to make it. Meanwhile, I noticed the large grill, full of thick, fresh burgers and opted for a (medium-well) burger and fries. Exellent prime ground meat, made on the premises, burger was more than an inch thick and very juicy. Ladies who run the place are very accomodating and like to chat. Friendly staff, easy in and out street parking, fast service, homemade stews and soups...great burgers, realistic pricing $7-8:00 will get you a good homemade, tasty lunch using top of the line ingredients. read more
