Since I posted this review, I called when I saw no tracking information for my package on USPS.com to check up on what was happening. Dean, the owner answered my phone call, transferred me to Clayton, the gentlemen who had helped me and then, after Clayton took care of me, Dean followed up with me, having recognized that I was the person who yelped a less-than-complimentary review. After our conversation, Dean followed up with a yelp message. He acknowledged my concerns, explained to me how he addressed them and asked me to reconsider a 2-star review. This extraordinary level of customer service is to be commended and, now that my package has arrived in a very timely manner (3 business days via regular first-class postage to Chicago), I am satisfied with the completion of our transaction. Will I ship everything from Lincoln Postal in the future? Surely not. I will, however, surely patronize them again. It's nice to be reminded about the different levels of service that small business can afford to give you and see its contrast to larger chain retail outlets. I read a number of reviews when I moved to the area; trying to find a good post office near my house. Lincoln Postal was off the charts on yelp and although it is a little longer of a trip from my place it was well worth it in the end. There are multiple services that they offer and they do it with a smile. All you have to do is have one bad post office experience to begin to question the meaning of life. The guys who work here are incredibly nice and helpful. When using the self-serve copiers, they follow up with you to make sure you're happy with the quality. I find it a bit annoying they charge $1 to drop prepaid USPS packages, but I guess it's justifiable to avoid the post office. Also: with computer usage, you pay for time, but if you don't use all of it you can save it for the next visit. Very convenient if you just need to go in an print something on occasion. read more

There's something about this place that had endeared itself to me despite the ridiculously expensive prices it charges for the copy/printing/scanning type services I regularly hit it up for as its a few blocks from my house. (Full disclosure: I have never utilized the shipping or mail services here, but would assume they are similarly excessively overpriced). Perhaps it the old school neighborhood vibe and clientele, of the type that is rapidly vanishing from all corners of the city. Perhaps its the affable and pleasant, albeit a bit excessively laid back service. Most likely its some combination of these facts, most definitely combined with the fact that I am pretty much always submitted any receipts from here to be reimbursed by my work rather than paying out of pocket. In any event there you have it, I highly recommend this place as long as someone else is picking up the tab!. They charge money to drop off packages with prepaid FedEx and UPS labels. I don't know of any other establishment that does that. Go to Thriftway Pharmacy around the corner for UPS dropoffs...for free like they're supposed to be. read more

Aside from a convenient location and being open all day on Saturday, this place is disappointing. There is almost always a long, slow-moving line and the woman behind the counter is consistently rude and difficult. She has forced me to pay extra for shipping just because of the color of a box, and she refused to accept Canadian quarters even though 99% of retailers don't think twice about it. Saves me soooooo much time! At a regular postal, I spend sometimes more than an hour waiting on the line.(depends on locations and what time.) Have you ever been to the post office nowadays!!! My god! It's a never ending line which ends after the doors are closed. Although I have to pay a 1$ at Lincoln postal for each package left. I love it and I don't cAre. Charges a drop off fee of $1 for prepaid UPS labels, which is a violation of contract. Definitely avoid and go to the UPS store on Flatbush, or report them to UPS until they change their policy. Shame that our local store doesn't respect the community and charges us extra fees! read more

When Lincoln postal came up on my radar I jumped at the chance to try a nearby alternative to Franklin postal, which is horrendous in every way. Lincoln postal couldn't have been more different - from the moment you walk in you're greeted with a smile and served with care. My parcel was packed perfectly and efficiently, and I'm pretty confident that anything I mail from there (which will be everything from now on) will arrive at its destination in mint condition. Warning: Avoid this establishment at all costs. I want everyone to know that the end result of the experience I had with this store several months ago, and the owner. Because I had posted a negative review about my original issue with him and his store, he extorted me: he informed me I could not have my mail or access to my mailbox unless I removed the negative review and replaced it with a positive one. That practice of business owners extorting customers based on Yelp reviews should be illegal and is certainly extremely unethical. The owner became so hostile and threatening to me, I feared for my safety and had to call police. Police intervened and helped me get my mail but I was unable to safely return or get my future mail. I lost numerous pieces of important mail, checks, information, etc, because this owner acted downright crazy and unethically. Warning: stay away. read more

I wrote a negative review and it disappeared so I'm writing another one. I will not be using this postal shop anymore. 7 of my packages were returned to me because of insufficient postage. My customers waited weeks for their packages and one asked for a refund. I used Lincoln Postal because is't only 4 blocks from my home and didn't want to travel far during Covid but because of this I had to travel to the Cadman Plaza Post Office in downtown Brooklyn to mail them and send emails to all my customers apologizing for the delay. This morning I received two more emails from customers saying their packages were still not delivered. Now I have to wait to see if those packages will be returned to me. Completely unacceptable. I will be using Sandbox on Fulton Street or the Cadman Plaza Post Office from now on. read more

before, during and after they finished construction on this place I swore it was going to be a swanky bar. If you see the sign from the outside, and ignore all of the postal related paraphernalia in the window, you too will see what I mean. I often suggest to friends that we go there for a drink. well, turns out it isn't, but they do now sell san pellegrino sodas which I'm not mad about. apart from the really shockingly pleasant aesthetics, this place is great. The guy who works there (or maybe owns it?) is super friendly and beyond helpful. They've got everything to meet your postal needs, and also to help us printer-less folk be real people and print/scan/copy things. I would say it could definitely be cheaper, but what couldn't? I love this store. My fiance and I showed up and caught the owner just as he was leaving (it closed at 5 and it was now 530). We really wanted to get our invitations out this weekend and this was our only hope. He asked what we needed to buy and then opened the store up again so we could buy our stamps! Keep in mind, this was SATURDAY-- the first really nice day of spring we've had and he was willing to go back inside the store and help us out. I live in the neighborhood, but I would make a trip to Crown Heights just to support this business. First, it's great to have all the options in front of you (different rates depending on time, FedEx vs. UPS, etc.). The owner is also the nicest man ever. A few months ago, I had to overnight a box to California with perishable food items and took it to Lincoln Postal. The next day, I found out that after FedEx picked up the package, they found an issue with the paperwork/dry ice labels and called the owner to report the problem. He closed the shop early, drove out to the FedEx facility in Sunset Park, and filled out new paperwork for me! I never even would have found out, but I called after the fact to ask a question about FedEx. My package and the contents would have been destroyed and probably deserted at the FedEx facility if I had just dropped it off at a FedEx location. When was the last time you heard of any business owner going that far out of the way (literally) to ensure quality service for their customers? read more

Shipping an medium size packaged totaled $37 for standard shipping!! While I understand paying extra for connivence this kind of pricing is borderline unethical. The customer service at Lincoln Postal is really great. The owner is efficient and knowledgable. His prices are definitely higher than the post office, but he is great about helping you choose the best deal out of what he offers. Best of all, he is NICE. I have often had post office employees make me feel stupid for not knowing the ins and outs of the postal system--I never feel that way at Lincoln Postal. In short, I would say if you have plenty of time to ship your package and feel up for dealing with disrespectful USPS employees, go to the post office. I love a small business that loves its customers. Had a great experience with a guy working here - I came into print something out and he was extremely helpful and attentive without being annoying. He even let me know that the time leftover from my 10 minute purchase to print things out (I rented a computer) could be put forward to the next time I needed it if I hang onto my receipt. The store also has all the usual print/postal/office supply products - boxes galore - which helps. I'm overjoyed to find an alternative to the Kinko's overpriced bounty that punishes those of us without printers; having Lincoln Postal in the neighbourhood is a godsend! read more

They charge $1.00 for any UPS drop off. Seriously??!! So I went to UPS Park Slope on 7th Ave and they take any drop off for FREE! Why do I have to pay for a drop off from Amazon when I am an Amazon Prime member! This store needs to reorganize its management! read more

I live near a postal over on Nostrand and Union and I would rather walk over to Lincoln and Classon. The service was absolutely amazing and the guy working there was so kind and funny.
