This is as good as it gets. A breath of fresh air to anyone who has ever had to deal with standard post offices or postal stores in Brooklyn. The store is clean, organized and offers a whole slew of services. They even have interesting vintage NY postcards. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The gentleman who owns this store is awesome. He always has helpful advice and shares the best options for getting your package where it needs to go. He's knowledgeable, friendly and helps you to save money. He also rescued a neighborhood kitty from an awful fate, and took him in. The kitty is now "Lincoln", the shop cat. Awesome service. There's two other postal places in the area and this guy blows them out the water. Polite, informative, and patient. I came there with a ton of paperwork that needed to be printed, copied, stapled, and posted and was in and out in record time...plus the shop smelled nice and there was a grumpy cat. This place has thee best customer service! In addition they always have great music videos playing on the tv screens and it smells really good -random I know. I have gone there mostly to print documents and drop off packages for which they charge $1. I wish I knew the guy's name that's normally behind the counter but he is just the best... always helpful, patient, and respectful. This place is fantastic. Everything related to post office chores typically sucks, but the folks working here are kind, patient, and reasonable. I was in there today, using their paper cutter, and since I had a decent amount to do I was in for a while. The guy who runs the place--Dean, I believe--handled everybody's issues with aplomb. Whether they were first time customers ready to be irritated, maybe expecting another shitty post office experience, or regulars he saw out at a bar recently, he extended professionalism and genuine bonhomie to all. It makes a huge difference. There are places that offer similar services closer to me, but it's well worth the extra stroll. Bonus points for the friendly cat. He's pretty gangster. read more

Never been happier with a service experience. I had 12 wrapped packages to send to three different addresses for Christmas and no boxes to ship them in. Showed up to Lincoln Postal and could not have been happier with how I was taken care of. Helped me find the right size boxes for the different shipments, packed them for me, and then helped me ship each one the cheapest. 2 were cheaper via USPS. 1 was cheaper via FedEx. The whole process of telling them the 3 addresses and picking the right choices could not have been better. I felt great walking out of the store. To everyone who keeps complaining on Yelp about paying a $1 for dropping off their prepaid USPS packages - STOP complaining about convenience. Its a fee for service so that you don't have to walk all the way to the post office. Why should this place do that for you for free? They are not making you come here. read more

Loyal and faithful patron to this establishment so I really hoped it would get better. In the wake of COVID I understood the shorter hours and long line no issue with that. But I believe if I wait in line I should recieve the time that I need to recieve service.Back story Lincoln Postal accepts packages for a fee to be delivered quite pricey but prior to him losing his staff there were no issues. Since he now runs his buisness alone recieving my package has been a nightmare. No notification when it comes [despite I recieve notification from the sender package has been delivered] and when I go to pick up my package he says it isnt there. No real attempt to find it in his mountain of unorganized packages. Week 2 after I know my package is there still no alert from him [previously I would recieve an email/text]and when I arrive ready to demand he look for my package he noshalauntly says I have a package for you. REALLY so sorry to have to write this but beware until he gets help dont expect to recieve anything you are waiting for in a reasonable amount of time. Hope he finds help and his establishment returns to the service that I initially fell in love with. But until then long time customer is gone. read more

This place has gone seriously downhill. Used to be a boon to the neighborhood, but no longer. Prices have gone up, service has gone down. Package receiving/mailbox services, for example, are insulting. The owner allows only a vague 24-hour window to pick up your package before he tries to slap you with a charge of several extra dollars for not picking it up within that time. Meanwhile, the store doesn't even open until 9am (not really that convenient for folks with day job), and that's if it's open at all. Be warned, folks: this place is prone to A LOT of unannounced/unexpected closures and late openings. You can often find yourself wasting the time to pick up a package from Lincoln Postal only to find it closed during stated business hours. (They have your e-mail address on file, least they could do is send out an e-mail blast that they're not going to be open.) Adding insult to injury, the owner doesn't offer any recompense for your wasted time, and will leap to try to charge you the ridiculous "late fee" until you explain to him that you tried to get a package when he was unexpectedly closed. (But first he'll try to suggest that you visited outside of business hours.) In the case of delivery exceptions (i.e., no one to receive the package), he'll also reflexively insist that USPS, UPS and FedEx are all liars who always claim to attempt delivery, but then don't bother. I'm not sure what the carriers' motivation would be for that, but at first, based on some of my own experiences with deliveries, I was inclined to believe him. But after going by the shop to see it closed way too many times, I'm realizing that the owner at Lincoln Postal is quite possibly the liar. If you want unreliable, inconsistent or slow service, I'd stick with the Post Office and at least it'd be free. And while I agree with other folks that the owner USED to be friendly, he's gotten increasingly surly in addition to all the unprofessionalism listed above. I don't know if there's any place better in the neighborhood for packaging and mailbox services, but if there is: find it and go with that place instead. read more

I wish i could give no stars! Their website claims to do printing but they don't. Do not send them a document because it won't get printed. I showed up the morning of an interview to pick up my resume and was told it wasn't printed and I had to do it myself. The guy was extremely rude and unaccommodating. I love this place and honestly never wanted to send mail or packages anywhere else after coming here. Dean is so extremely helpful and friendly and makes what is normally a stressful experience into something really pleasant (think: waiting in line for 15 minutes or longer at USPS, making it to the clerk who tells you to go fill out another form, getting in line again... or going to Fedex and being stacked with hidden fees...). I came here recently to ship several boxes (including a few oversized art frames) for my move to California. Dean spent 30 minutes+ working with me to wrap the frame in the most secure way possible, cut and tape two boxes together to fit the non-standard size of the frame, and provide me with all the details of pricing and shipping options. I really appreciate his great customer service and highly recommend this store to anyone else in need of mailing and shipping services! read more
