Brunch in downtown South Bend just got a little more interesting…read more I stopped by The Breakfast Club, and let's just say this was not your typical "two eggs, toast, and bacon" kind of morning. Getting checked in and seated was a but slow but it ramped up from there, significantly. From the first bite, the food felt indulgent, creative, and unapologetically rich. The savory croissant sandwich was the star for me--layers of flaky pastry wrapped around crispy bacon, eggs, and melted cheese. Messy? Absolutely. Worth it? Without question. Then came the French toast. Thick brioche, beautifully caramelized, dusted with powdered sugar, and finished with butter melting into a pool of syrup. It leaned into comfort rather than restraint--and sometimes, that's exactly what brunch should do. Lets be real, brunch without bubbles is just breakfast, I added a mimosa flight. That instantly turned the meal from a casual breakfast into a full experience. What impressed me most was the personality of the food. The Breakfast Club isn't trying to play it safe. The restaurant embraces creative brunch and global influences rather than sticking strictly to traditional American breakfast formulas. The dishes I had were bold, rich, and designed for people who want brunch to feel like an occasion. Would I return? Absolutely. My rating: 1/2 / 5 Food: 4.5/5 Drinks: 4.5/5 Presentation: 4.5/5 Creativity: 5/5

Everyone was so kind and hospitable. The restaurant itself was very cozy and I enjoyed being there. As far as food, I loved everything I ate. I tried (over 3 meals) the pretzels, burrata, steak frites, the burger, Brussels sprouts, creamed spinach, sweet potato fries, Mac and cheese, and the French dip. Everything was so yummy! The Mac and cheese needed some salt but otherwise everything was 10/10. I can't wait to return!

You drive up to the awning and a valet opens the gates for you to park. We had reservations. It was very crowded. I am told it's not typically that crowded. It was hard to hear it was so loud. Menu is large. Prices are higher. Be ready. I got the large chopped salad. It wasn't that large for $18. I changed out the dressing to ranch because I did not want the garlic salad dressing. Glad I did. The salad was ok. The salami was smokey it added to the veggies. But for the price it was small and disappointing. 2 people got the prime rib sandwich and it was pretty sloppy. It's better to eat with a knife and fork. I was told it was good. The sweet potato fries have cayenne pepper on them. The chopped salad with tofu was also disappointing. The tofu had a weird bbq type sauce. The server was nice and she was fine. The atmosphere is more high scale. Just disappointed in the taste of the food and portion to cost. Cool experience being on campus but you're paying for it.
