I was looking for a mobile pet vet to help me with my aging kitty, but sadly, their phone message says they are not accepting new patients.

Our current vet Dr. Courtney Maeda Brescia has been wonderfully supportive when we are going through crises with our pets, even staying in touch by email during her vacations. And we like the coverage that the hospital gives by having other very good vets that can take care of our pets when Dr. Maeda isn't available. The nurses have also been wonderful, taking care of Adequan shots and nail trims as well as assisting the vets. Also, the office staff is efficient and the website helpful. I also appreciate the parking lot.

Buddy had Cushing's disease, numerous lipomas removed, and a big tooth and gum infection that Dr. Roossien helped us mend. Once he had hyperparathyroidism, she advised us that we should see specialists and gave us recommendations on who to see. Buddy also struggled with sensitivity to medications, so she's help us find the right medication and dosage for him. When the specialists we took him to didn't dedicate enough time to help us (MedVet) Dr. Roossien worked up a plan to help us move forward with his care until his very last days. Dr. Roossien is the type of person to walk you through your pet's care and give you different options based on their health and financials. We often joked that we wished she was our doctor. She took amazing care of Buddy and shows a great amount of genuine care. We followed Dr. Roossien from her previous practice in San Mateo, however we loved San Bruno Pet Hospital so much more. Even if we had to go further, she was worth it and we loved the staff that were equally caring and showed enthusiasm when they'd see all their doggie clients arrive. Even on the phone they'd maintain their sunny demeanor- especially Allie, whom I remember helping us most. That's not to say the other staff wasn't ready to help and pleasant as well. The facility was always clean and I liked the setup in the waiting room. The parking lot is ample, but do leave with caution since incoming traffic can become congested at the light upon exiting. I can't thank you all for how much you helped our boy throughout his years.

Sadly, Dr. Randle moved to another practice and my friend starting taking her dog there. I decided to stay at Pacifica Pet Hospital because I feel like they are always open and honest about their charges and don't ever feel like I'm being ripped off. Now Ranger sees Dr. Choi and I really like him. He takes the time to explain issues/findings to us, answers our questions thoroughly and always friendly and professional. The staff members at Pacifica Pet are wonderful, too. Whether on the phone or in-person, I'm greeted with a smile and helpfulness. Ranger, on the other hand, absolutely dreads visiting the vet! He tries to escape through the front door every time we visit. This totally reminds me of my kids when they were little visiting the pediatrician for vaccines.

A person called up for an emergency issue, and the staff spend a lot of time walking through all the options, and due to the limitations that day, even provided alternate vets in the area. I feel like this really made an impact on me, and will be taking my dog here going forward. Also the first check up was really reasonable, so that was a win as well! They were busy and did take a little time to check me out, but their heart is in the right place, so it's a win regardless. Give them a try, plus its in Pacifica, so after treat your dog to a walk on the beach!!

And within 2 weeks, his health was declining rapidly. We were beside ourselves as to what to do as chemotherapy and surgery was not an option. From test results, he was barely making enough red and white blood cells because of his FIV disease and wouldn't be able to endure chemo. Making his days comfortable became difficult. Although he was on an appetite stimulant, he was losing a lot of weight and wasn't his energetic self. He refused to take pain medication as well. Sadly, I searched Yelp for euthanasia services. Out of all the vet businesses I called, I found Dr. Bolivar reasonably priced and it could be done at the comforts of home surrounded by loved ones. On the appointed day, we had Patches enjoy the sunshine while exploring our garden and chewing on plants. He never got to go outside and was strictly an indoor cat (being FIV, it was advisable to stay indoors due to his compromised immune system) so this was a once in a lifetime treat. Thank goodness it was really sunny and warm from all the rain from the past week. Then Dr. Bolivar came (on time). It didn't take long to give him 2 shots. We said our goodbyes as he crossed over the rainbow bridge to a place of love and peace. It was a heartbreaking day, but having a mobile vet made it worry and stress free. I wouldn't have done it any other way. Then he took Patches to Pets Rest cemetery for cremation and paw prints. At our grieving state, we were relieved that we didn't have to do anything. A few days later, I retrieved his ashes in a nice, wooden box with a few paw prints done in clay. Thank you, Dr. Bolivar! We wish we had met you sooner and in better terms, but we appreciate all that you had done for us during this difficult time and would highly recommend your service!
