Glad Neil has a business but what a waste of my time, usually indicative of a lack of skill and ability. A regular Tommy Bahama Update: And I would like to add - he obviously had time to respond to my review but couldn't spare the 10-15 minutes to attach the new B&M strap to my other watch...his response at the store was "maybe today" which made it clear what I could expect... (Glad it wasn't forgotten though...!) Update: Went to another jeweler who fixed the B&M watch in 8 minutes...and didn't even bother to charge me...very gracious. The point here for "Tommy" is if you sit on something for so long, you don't respond with "maybe today", you step up, especially if you are a local business in the Gloucester "community"... Not a capability issue - a willingness one.

The clasp was different and I did not know how to lock it after dropping the pearls off my neck a couple of times I thought I would take the pearls into a shop and have the clasp changed, So I brought it to Rainbow Jewelers. I wanted to shop local, I did not realize I would be robbed. I showed the pearls to Richard and as he examined them he delightedly said, "These are very old pearls." I told him my problem with the clasp and he said I wanted them restrung, and I said no, they were fine the way they were and I told him several times "I did not want them restrung." When I went back the same clasp was on the pearls and he had restrung them and about ten of the pearls were missing. I mentioned this when I picked it up and the restringing job that I did not want was poorly done as one side of the string had a new kink in it. I was so very upset, I left very angry trying to figure out how I could get my pearls back, I do not recommend this store to anyone. My directions were not adhered to and I paid him 120$ for poorly done work and missing pearls the necklace is now to short for me to wear comfortably. . I also had ordered a pair of earrings converted from French to posts. I do not care that the work was ugly but just want my pearls back ,,alll of them. regards Barbara Guillette Ipswich, Ma. I initially thought I had an ok experience but now I'm disappointed. Last summer while vacationing…read morein Manchester my children went in to pick out something for my birthday. My daughter is 13 so I gave her a budget of about $100 but let her choose. When she came out after a few minutes she said she really wanted to get me a bracelet but it was about $25 more than I had given her. No biggie, I gave her more and they came out with a blue lace stone and sterling silver bracelet with a toggle clasp. It was slightly too small, so the owner put another stone on the end and said she wouldn't charge me. Halfway thru the year the toggle clasp wore away down to brass. I was pretty surprised since the shop people and the receipt said sterling silver. I brought it back to the owner when I visited this summer and asked for the toggle to be changed out for a sterling one. She said she would charge me $30 to replace it, claiming just because the bracelet was advertised as sterling it only meant the beads between the stones were silver, not the clasp. She I.formed me that by replacing the real clasp with the cheap plated one was now not part of the original price, since she enlarged it for me. She was so haughty and abrupt I just left, not wanting to giver her any additional business. The whole experience was deceptive especially since it involved children.
