I brought at least a dozen rings and over half a dozen bracelets in to be resized, and I am extremely happy with not just the quality and the price (!) but also the service. Paul Perella actually resized some of my bracelets right there while I waited for just a few minutes, and even polished some of my silver and gold for me. I'm actually going back this afternoon to have him resize some more rings, and make earings out of some of the links he removed from my bracelets. I recently brought a locket that belonged to my grandmother to him to have opened and cleaned. I went here to get my aquamarine engagement ring fixed after the stone fell in. It had been my great grandmother's and was a little beat up. While fixing it, the stone got chipped. They called to let me know right away and were very apologetic. I got to pick it up a little later in the week with a new stone and looking a lot nicer than when I dropped it off, and they didn't charge me for the repair! I don't know, I recently had my diamond reset in my four-prong setting at Perella, and a couple weeks after, I looked down and my diamond was gone -- one of the prongs had broken. I just find the timing odd, given I had the ring for nearly 15 years without a problem, and it had just been in the shop to be repaired. They assured me that during repair a prong couldn't be weakened, but that you can snag one on a string of your coat and rip it right off. Luckily it's insured, but you can't ever replace the sentimental value. read more
