I had a very disappointing experience at Dr. Linden Charles' dermatology office and I will not be returning. My appointment was scheduled for 3:50 PM, and I arrived about 20 minutes early. About 15 minutes later, another woman arrived with her son and they were taken in immediately before me. I politely asked the secretary if she could simply tell me what time their appointment was, since my appointment was at 3:50 PM. Instead of responding professionally, she became rude and disrespectful and told me she was "not allowed" to give that information. I explained that I was only trying to understand the situation, but her attitude and customer service were horrible. The entire interaction felt very unprofessional and disrespectful. I understand doctors can be busy, but there is no excuse for treating patients poorly. Customer service and respect matter, especially in a medical office. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I decided to leave and I do not plan to come back.. read more

Despite somewhat gruff manner, he is thorough, professional and competent in his field. He spent time trying to determine the cause of the skin condition I came in to check on. He did a test that took some time, but excluded that there is or was a fungal infection. He tried to narrow the cause and if the rash doesn't heal from the recommended treatment, I see him again only if it gets worse. The wait time was worth it. read more

These 1-star Linden reviews are silly. I've gone to Linden for around 30 years. My parents go too him too. In a nutshell, if you want a no b.s. dermatologist who is an expert in his field, Linden is the guy. He's sarcastic. If you enjoy sarcasm, you'll enjoy him. If you don't, you won't, and you'll probably end up here leaving a 1-star review. By the way, I don't think any of those 1-star reviews actually ding his expertise. I have been a patient of Dr. Linden's for 2 years and although he does not have the warmest personalit, I always felt he was good at what he does..I am now not so sure..I sent my 7 month pregnant daughter to him because she had discovered a cyst on her pelvic area. I thought Dr. Linden would take good care of her, but instead, he was condescending, uncaring, laughed at her because she is using a midwife to being her baby into the world, and told her to see her primary physician about the cyst. This happened in the 7 minutes he spent with her. She left in tears and when I called the office to ask about what happene, she rudely informed me that my daughter was an adult and she could call in her complainr if she wanted. I was shocked and very disappointed in Dr. Linden and his staff. Needless to say, I will never go back. read more

Dr. Linden may not be warm and fuzzy so if thats what you are looking for, get a pet. If you need a good dermatologist who knows his stuff and is not trying to shove botox on you every second this is your doctor. Dr Linden has been treating me for over ten years for a wide variety of conditions, from skin cancer to dermatitis and many other problems.. He is an OUTSTANDING doctor. I see that he has many five-star reviews and some one-star reviews. I am confident that is a matter of personalities. It has NOTHING to do with medical expertise. Regarding competence as a dermatologist, he is five-star all the way. He is a nice man besides being a great doc, but he isn't an affable, schmoozy kind of guy. He does have a fine sense of humor, but it is a dry wit. Some people misinterpret him as gruff. It is not so. As another reviewer said, if you want a new soul-mate, go get a pet dog. I took my 19 year old daughter to see Dr. Linden for a wart, because Dr. Gross and Dr. Henshaw (whom I love) were too busy. This is one miserable, rude man! No matter what I asked him, he had a sarcastic, rude comment in return. He might be a skilled doctor, but he has zero bedside manner. Avoid him if you want your dignity in tact! I had another appt and have changed my mind. I paid in full at time of service. Now they are trying to extort more money out of me. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! His father was much better. ACTUALLY both LINDENs are FINE DERMATOLOGISTS. But, I don't like getting a bill and having to argue about it when I paid in full at time of service...this is probably lame staff and only indirectly Linden's fault. I went in for a mole check and to check several "new" spots on a shoulder. Dr Linden was wonderful, with a fantastic bedside manner, did an extremely thorough exam as well as removed a bump on my face that needed to go! I have absolutley zero scarring, and will happily return to Dr Linden as my new Dermatologist anytime!!! read more

I was a patient of Dr Linden for many years as I have Irish skin. He did multiple biopsy's over the years and I never got a separate bill. But last year I got a bill from a Dr Leo Indianer who I have never known of except his bill. I talked to Dr Linen and told him to take this clown Leo's bill and stick it where the sun dont's shine. I then needed additional care saw Dr Ada Winkleman ( in the same office). A delightful Dr. But She sent skin samples to at least 4 and maybe more for biopsy's and now these createns want lots of money from..before discounts almost $ 5,000.00! And if do not pay them they want to screw up my credit score. To me this is nothing more than extortion! DO NOT go to Dr. Linden! read more

Thorough and conscientious, a bit impatient. Accessible office. Nice staff. Terrific nurse, competent and gracious. But one post-minor surgery did not go well; his colleague corrected (I had followed all directions and did nothing to provoke bleeding); and this colleague did well by me, so I did not complain when office billed Medicare again.. But for some other service, the office could not obtain Medicare reimbursement for "destruction of 1st lesion" which is Medicare covered, but office said it was MY problem, and I should deal with Medicare. I'm not a clerk for this office. Rather than write off the $28.95 balance, the office persisted, as if this was my fault and said they only billed Medicare with Medicare "as a courtesy," I paid it, rather than argue, but I probably will report this to Medicare as improper direct billing to me, which I believe is improper. The prior ratings are extreme - either 5 star or 1 star. My experience with Dr Linden is that he is thorough and straight forward, and you will know the situation clearly. If you want sugar coating or hand holding, maybe he isn't for you. I prefer to leave knowing exactly what is going on, and feel confident that the doctor is of the highest technical competence.
