I have posted a review a few years ago about Dr. Yang who is also an amazing eye doctor at Linden Optometry in Pasadena, however, you cannot beat decades of experience of a truly dedicated doctor to her field. My recent visit gave me the opportunity to see Dr. Linden instead of Dr. Yang because of my travel schedule. As God would have it, for this year's annual check-up, I was meant to see Dr. Linden. I have bought many glasses in the past. beware with Covid entrance only through the back. You need to Check in at the checkin counter by giving them your name and birthday. Appointments are recommended. Lady who checked and in was not friendly saud they were short staffed --- I just wanted to look at frames...i felt like she wanted to turn me away and make an appointment, that initial interaction was such a turn off we didn't feel like being in the store. I just recently got 2 pairs of glasses and they told me it would take 2 weeks. Well after 3 1/2 weeks I didnt hear from them, so I called and they said they're ready for pick up. I went in, and on my frames paperwork it is stamped & signed by someone saying they contacted me 2 weeks ago!! UMMM...NO you didnt!! It really made me think twice about coming back here. Not only I recommend this place to all my family and friends, I also recommend people to stay with it for as long as one can. That being said, I have been a loyal customer for over 20 yrs, my vision is aging during this period, I feel I am well cared by all staff there especially Dr. Linden. It isn't easy to get a quick turn around during pandemic, but I really appreciate they keep all glasses sanitized and have limited people in store and clinic area. If you have been waiting long, ask for Katie. I've been going to Linden since the 1990s for vision exams plus glasses. Pre-pandemic level of service was excellent. Went yesterday for glasses frame adjustment, waited over 1 hour to get service. Only 1 technician was available to adjust customers with current and new glasses. If you wait close to 1 hour, it's okay to speak up and demand service. Katie made herself available and assisted me. Had 2 pairs of glasses that needed adjustments, nothing frivolous. I kept it short and sweet to be considerate of other customers who needed service. Katie provided good tips on how to keep your frames in good condition. I estimated 10 minutes to get my glasses adjusted, Katie got them both done in 8 minutes. How sweet is that? Heads up: before going to Linden, go to their website to make an appointment, follow up in 2 days if you don't get a confirmation. Have an exam scheduled in 2 weeks, will also make appt once new glasses are ready for pickup/adjustments. Am aware that practice is recently short-staffed, not sure what the story is? read more

Imma give this place a solid 4. I have been there 3 or 4 times now. I have never gotten my contacts this cheap anywhere else in the 25 years I have worn them. I tend to feel a bit shuffled around here and the equipment is a bit worn but it's fine. Last time I went there the guy we talked to about framed would not answer my question but to be fair, he looked over worked. Someone came up to him and gave him 3 more patients to help. He wasn't trying to be rude, they just worked him too much. The staff are never rude (hard to talk to someone on the phone, yeah) but every time I come in here, some random customer is yelling at the front desk person. You all need to chill out. If you want Beverly Hills service then go there and pay for it. These people are showing up every day and don't need to be yelled at. read more

If you're short-staffed or can't service patients adequately, then PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, update your website and voicemail appropriately. Not calling patients back when they leave a message 4x is not OK, especially in Optometry. Also, the female Dr with curly hair should not be working at Linden. She has zero customer service and shouldn't be interfacing with patients. She would be better in a lab setting. On the flip side, had the best experience with Dr. Ani Muradian. She is lovely and so informative, with a gracious demeanor. She is the ONLY reason I'm giving 2 stars. read more

No stars if I could. I had been a customer here for years. Years. Me and my whole family. I made the mistake of recommending this place to a friend who needed new lenses put into his favorite glasses. They ruined his glasses. Completely broke the outer frames. Didn't offer an explanation, instead led with: well you signed the waiver stating that it was fine that this business can destroy your frames. And that's exactly what they did.! (by the way, they weren't antique frames or anything. They weren't old either, maybe 2 years old, his prescription had just changed)They tried to send him home with the broken glasses glued back together (they had leather on the outside and chunks of leather were missing from the rim). My friend had to buy new frames from them to replace his old ones that they had destroyed!!! $$$ They didn't even offer him a discount on these new replacement frames or even an APOLOGY. (I witnessed the treatment, I went with him) Needless to say they couldn't replace the style of his old favorite pair. He had to get other frames that were similar to the lenses they had made for the glasses they broke!! His insurance has already been charged and there was no discussion about other options. To top it off. They were so rude. Once he ordered, It took forever for them to arrive and for them to fit the lenses. It was expensive. They ruined his glasses and made him pay for it. I am beyond horrified and embarrassed. I will never be returning, after over 15 years of coming here. I just couldn't believe this experience. I've been going to Linden for my prescription glasses for years now. It used to be a great place. They still have a huge selection of frames, but the service has gone downhill. I mean to the bottom of the hill... I ordered my new glasses on the 10th of March. Today is the 6th of April, and I still haven't received a call (or email, or text) so I called to find out what's going on. I was just informed that my glasses are "ready for pick up"... I've been to Linden a few times. I mostly selected them because they're up the street from me and I can walk there. I have enjoyed their service enough and the glasses that they have ordered for me are to-specifications and reasonably priced. They have a huge selection of frames, but of course only some of them are covered by insurance. I think their staff are fine. The doctor mentioned that there's an optional service (some kind of retinal scan) and he didn't heavily pressure me into taking it. I think they took a reasonable amount of time getting my glasses to me, and they communicated fine. I'm going to keep going there. read more

This is the worst optometry I've ever been to. We made an appointment with an optometrist named Emami something. We waited for 30 minutes PAST our appointment time, and she was still "not available" according to the front desk people. Then what's the point of making an appointment with a customer at a specific time?? To get a new pair of glasses, we brought in our own frame with a box. This place is definitely a one stop shop for all things related to your eyes. However, it will take forever. The customer service here is not impressive. With an appointment every time, I've had to wait at least 10-15 minutes. The upsides are that there is air conditioning and they try to appease you a bit with some free coffee and chairs to sit on. It's a busy establishment and employees several doctors, so be prepared to see several different eye doctors if you have follow ups. You can specify the doctor you want to see. The good part is that the optometrists take thorough notes so that the next doctor knows where to pick up. Right now, I'm composing this review as I wait to simply pick up an order of contacts that I previously paid for. All in all, they have what you need regarding your eyes, from eye surgery to a wide selection of basic and designer frames, but you'd better be willing to pitch a tent because you'll be here a while to merely be seen. read more

I had no appointment and the girls in the front were really friendly and helped me. Stephanie was quick to set me up to be seen. The security guard was helpful too! Talk about going above and beyond Stewart Lim has exceptional customer service skills, he was patient with all my questions and indecisiveness to pick a lens. He explained all fees and what my insurance covered so I wouldn't be surprised with any additional fees. I really appreciated his help. He walked me over to the cashier which was quick and super easy. I was in and out of here within 45 minutes on the last Sunday of the year, so that definitely speaks volumes of how everyone here works together! read more

Lindon Optemetery Is the biggest scam business I've ever Had the displeasure of dealing with! Ok so 2 years ago I bring in my online Purchased Persol 2803S ( I buy them from another place because Lindon was charging $150 more than I bought them for!!! (Wow there making quite the tidy profit) I've been going to Lindon for years with no issues. So I bring them in to be fitted for Lenses...Firstly, they gave me a hassle about them not being purchased From their overpriced store lol I fought with them and they finally said they not responsible if the frame cracks on replacement (as if they were it's a normal process and Persol is a name brand so duh of course there should be no problem). Anyway, Let's cut to a year and a half later I notice a small bubble in the corner of the lens, Now mind you I spent $450 on just the lenses with polarizing, UV resistance, scratch resistance and transition lens process. I take them in to Lindon and they say "Ooops, your out of warranty" you have to pay full price for replacement. I'm pissed but I just leave mad. Then I started thinking about the way I was treated by the manager and I get furious and go back a second time a few months later after they reopened after COVID thinking maybe I can deal with some one else. But almost all their employees are very rude and unaccommodating. The other manager still say's NO WARRANTY not free replacement "we are not accountable" it's a third party factory that does the work... I think about the millions of dollars they rake in a month and I'm even more furious!!!! people are out of work and they are it's taking advantage of their customers so badly. Our family had scheduled doctor appointments about two weeks ago due to COVID-19. We arrived on time today for our appointments. Filled out required paperwork. Waited. Meanwhile, other people that came in after us, were seen quickly. We waited almost an hour (past our appointment times). We had to ask someone what was taking so long. They said the supervisor would be coming from across the building to speak to us. Then, one of the male eye doctors came over to see us. We had our 5 year old son go first. The doctor kept telling him impatiently to stop moving... clearly not a specialist for working with young children. Overall, My family had a terrible experience! My husband ended up telling the doctor that he was done. He wasn't going to allow the doctor to continue to speak to our son in such a manner. If you have children, we would not recommend coming here. Linden has just lost customers! read more

Where do I even begin? About two years ago, my husband purchased a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. He requires a prescription so they went ahead and changed out the lenses for him to his prescription. Earlier this year, he noticed that the earpiece was coming off. We went ahead and sent out the glasses to Maui Jim to be repaired since they have a pretty awesome repair warranty. Well, a few days after paying the $15 to have them sent out, they send them back, informing us that they cannot repair the glasses since the warranty is voided when you swap out lenses. Now, Linden NEVER TOLD US THIS WOULD HAPPEN WHEN THEY SWAPPED OUT THE LENSES! If we had known, we would have gone through Maui Jim to do everything! I went to Linden today to have the piece repaired by them because Maui Jim basically told me I have no recourse with them because of the lens swap. The employee at Linden fixed the earpiece by putting a wrap on it and basically shrinkwrapping it onto the glasses. It looks really janky- like janky... I expressed my displeasure at the repair and asked if they can replace the entire arm and he said, "No, we cannot." I explained the situation and he proceeds to tell me that I could have had the prescription lenses made with Maui Jim but it would be twice as much and had I done that I wouldn't have voided the warranty. How NICE of Linden to just CHOOSE that for me? WHAT THE HECK?!!?! Yeah, it's cheaper but now my warranty is VOID and I have a JANKY LOOKING PAIR OF EXPENSIVE SUNGLASSES... I am livid. The moral of the story is this, ASK IF THE SWAPPING OF PRESCRIPTION LENSES VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY!!! We are fortunate enough to have insurance and an FSA so the extra cost would not have been as big a deal for us. This is literally the ONLY thing my husband splurges on for himself so he was willing to spend more to make sure he can always have his glasses fixed or replaced if needed. Maui Jim did tell me to inform them of the place that did the swap because they make it very clear to the retailers that they work with that if the retailer switches out the lens, they void their warranty. Linden knew this and went ahead with the swap because they wanted our business, didn't matter that we would be out of a warranty when we needed it because Linden got the $400 from us when we purchased the glasses. This is the LAST TIME we do business with them and I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for anyone thinking of doing business with them as well. DO BETTER! read more

I want to give Dr. Limfat infinity stars! On 05/12/2020, Tuesday, I came to Linden Optometry to see Dr. Limfat for an eye re-exam. It's been 4 years since I was here; the last doctor I encountered was unpleasant. Anyways, now that I'm back, I realized I really missed Dr. Limfat. He is a compassionate person who is very flexible, and quite rational. Just explain your situation & he will try as best as he can to resolve it, even during this Covid-19 pandemic! Because of the short staff due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the poor Dr. Limfat had to do all the little tedious things himself, such as wiping & sanitizing the tables, counters, chairs, machines, running back & forth to measure the power of my glasses, etc. It took him much longer than normal to help each patient. Thus, his time was very precious. Even so, he was patient and took his time listened & answered my questions without once rushing me out. I left feeling fulfilled & happy. Stewart Lim, the person I was told is in charge, was rude and unapologetic for their mistake. He was also very rude to the customer he helped ahead of us. We ordered our son's glasses early December. We tried checking on status and never received a call back. Tried calling again, were placed on hold for approximately 20 minutes just to be told frames were discontinued and had to go back to Linden and select new frames. 12/31 - returned back to Linden to select new frames in lieu of the discontinued ones and we were told they are unable to expedite the newly selected frames despite us already waiting several weeks for the previous ones. Linden, If your staff fails to adequately follow up on an order, especially an order paid in full - the least you can to do is make an effort to rectify the mistake and expedite a replacement. Additionally, you may want to evaluate the person in charge if you care about improving your customer service. read more

Somehow I mislaid my glasses. Plus it had been quite a while since I had an eye exam so it was overdue. When I called the Miracle Mile office my optometrist Dr. Rex Stevens was working out of when last I saw him I was told he had left. Thankfully a Yelper posted he was now seeing patients at Linden. And to my delight they accept Medi-Cal (which is not easy to find). The place is enormous. Has the greatest selection of frames I had ever seen. After filling out the paperwork that you always have during an initial medical visit a staffer did some preliminary tests then I was examined by Dr. Rex. He is delighted with the setup with Linden and gratified many past patients have tracked him down and are coming to Linden to be seen by him. After the prescription was ready Dr. Rex explained if I wanted I could take it to any optometric business to be filled but he noted they have low price frames at Linden for patients like myself who have Medi-Cal (which only covers the exam). The process to pick a frame went smoothly and they said my glasses should be ready the next day in the afternoon and they were! They can send text reminders of an upcoming appointment and also for when your glasses are ready. When picking up I asked do they sell repair kits. I was told no but was warned those kits drugstores sell have standard sized screws that may not be the same size as the screws in your glasses and using them may strip the threads; while a bit of a hassle it is best to bring glasses back for any repairs. Things went very smoothly and as long as Dr. Rex is at Linden I will be going there. read more
