I agree with most of the reviews here, the service has gotten worse over the years. The place looks run down and staff looks like they don't want to be there and don't care about your concerns. They order wrong frames for me so I had to drive back and worth and wasted my time and gas for their incompetency. Exam was ok, feel like most exams go that way for me anywhere.. Amazing customer service, You should ask for Tania to adjust your glasses very professional and experienced individual, I had a Cartier glasses that was very hard to adjust because it's solid metal but Tania did amazing job. She will give you the time you need to complete the adjustment and take it to perfection. Made Appointment for 9am. Linden sent 6 emails AND texts asking me to confirm my appointment 3 times! I had called explaining exactly what I needed, and again when I checked in at the front door. I was told to look at frames, they would call me when the optometrist arrived -because I was early- They took someone else first, (no one called my name), I ended up waiting 30 minutes, and then when I explained what I needed with the optometrist, he said "I don't have time for this."Wow. I had explained multiple times exactly what I needed, Linden sent me copious texts and emails to confirm and remind me about my appointment. Then I show up and they tell me THEY don't have time? Wow. I absolutely understand that it isn't the optometrists fault. It is how the organization is run and their dated business model. I have complete understanding how Covid has affected business. The truth is for the volume they want to service, they don't respect their help enough to train them or to back them up properly. Not a place to go if you're running late and I tried calling multiple times while I was driving over to let them know I'm stuck in traffic. I called 3 times and was unable to speak to anyone. My daughter's appointment was at 4pm and mine at 4:30. I arrived at 4:25 and my daughter was turned away because of a 15 minute grace period that I was Never informed of when making my appointment. I've been coming here for about 12 both for myself and my family. They used to be great. Unfortunately, they Are NOT anymore. My husband had a terrible problem with them, where over 6 weeks, they couldn't get his glasses right. First they rejected the quality themselves and then had the wrong glasses. But the worse part is that they were so impossibly rude to him. Today, I went there to buy some sunglasses, and the minute I walked in, they started yelling at me. The feeling you get is that they think you are going to steal something... or like you just walked in on a criminal organization. They seem to take delight in being mean to their customers. My doctor was very nice and professional, that's why I came back and it gets two stars. But the contact lenses department was horrible! Worst services ever! First after my doctor ordered trial lenses, I never heard back from them, I called multiple times and the receptionists promised they would look into this and call me back, never happened. Finally after 1.5 months' struggle, I got contact lenses department's direct phone number, and they told me the lenses had arrived and they called me... so weird When I went into the store and tried the trial lenses on 5/14, they said they called my old number... I asked them to update my information last year and also provided it again this year, how come you still use the old number My doctor was very nice and he helped to confirm with the contact lenses department that they now deleted my old info and only had my updated phone number. Guess that? When they ordered my contact lenses, I never heard from them again... I called on 6/9 (3 weeks after the trial) they said not arrived. I waited and called again today 7/5, they said it was arrived on 6/11 and they called me on my new number.... I never received the call or the voice mail, do they just call in their imagination or dreams?! It was really annoying as I didn't have my contact lenses during the July 4th holiday. The operations are a mess, and contact lenses department obviously doesn't care! If you want to mark in the system that you called a customer, make sure you did dial the number on the phone other than just dialed the number in your imagination read more

Absolutely disappointing and do not recommend. Go elsewhere. Maybe I was just unlucky? I've had issues back to back with this place as a new patient. Initial evaluation and appointment went fairly smooth. But problems began after that. First, got a message stating my glasses were ready for pick up, great I go and wait 1.5 hours cause they're "getting it ready". I check in about every 30 minutes, still not ready, at the 1.5 hour mark I tell them I need to leave but it's no problem and they can call me once they're actually ready since I had just gotten off work and thought it'd be a fairly quick process. They say 5 more minutes, I decide to wait it out since I've already dedicated a bunch of time. I get my glasses few minutes later and they're the absolute wrong frame, they tell me they can reorder and all that which I appreciated but I end up leaving with them and accept what I was given because whatever end of the day I just needed new glasses. Less than 1 month with the glasses and one lens just falls out while out and about walking. I've been wearing glasses for 10+ years and have NEVER had this experience with any other glasses I've used daily for 2 years at a time. Also during that visit I also requested to get more contacts and since I was a new patient I got a test pack and was told to call back if the pack worked for me to order the lenses. No problem, that is a standard practice. I call back to order the lenses about a week later and am told they will verify my prescription with the optometrist so I can order and they will call me back that day. They don't call back, no problem they're busy I'm sure. I follow up the next day and daily after that and am told they are aware and will call me to follow up. A week later still no callback or prescription given to me so I can just order my own elsewhere. Insurance was charged for the evaluation for contact lenses and I got nothing. Shady and unprofessional practice. Ive been in healthcare for years and understand it can be busy and complicated at times and I really really tried to be patient with this place as a first time patient but man I was tested. Bottom line inefficient and horrible quality practice. Disappointed I decided to try this place. Go elsewhere. read more

This place is terrible, I came back here because from what I remembered, they used to have a large selection to choose from. They don't anymore, so don't even bother coming here. They put a hold on my insurance benefits and when I called them to release the hold they just started acting like they couldn't hear me, but they could hear me before I got to that point, then they just kept hanging up, real mature. I had my friend call on the other line but once they realized it was my same concern they kept hanging up. Located in Pasadena where parking can be horrible.. urghh.. and where you can spend a good amount of time trying out and talking to the friendly staff about the prescription glasses that best fit your life style and budget. They accept many insurances and have lots of good prices. Don't be shy :) Getting prescription glasses is fun to most of us a lot of searching and shopping around. Linden, is great! Wait time can vary and the customer lines can and might be long, just chill for your turn. If you find the pair of glasses you like or enjoy.. hell yeah.. it will be worth the wait. The limited amount of employees will be happy to make sure you walk out of the store without bumping into others or walk across the street without getting hurt. All in all.. Linden is a spot worth checking out. Get something or get nothing at least you know what they offer. Like others, I've been coming here for years, and used to love it. But the customer service has seriously declined recently. The wait times on the phone are horrendous and when you finally get to a live person, they're curt and unhelpful. I had an optometry visit 3 months ago and ordered prescription sunglasses. They took 2 months to arrive. When I picked them up, the order was wrong and had to be redone. Now I've had to wait another month when they said they'd fix the problem in no more than two weeks. (I just found out they took a week and a half to send my prescription back to the lab for correction.) Once my order is fulfilled, I'll be saying goodbye to this place forever. read more

She made him feel at ease and he did a super job with his eye exam This place is a lot bigger than it looks on the outside and on one of the main streets in Pasadena so if you can find street parking right in front like I did then you shouldn't have a problem. After ordering my new Nike glasses I requested to see what kind of storage case I was going to get. The lady brought me a heavy, huge black case. I told her I didn't like it and she assured me that she would send a smaller Nike case, along with my new eyeglasses, more appropiate to the size of my glasses to my house. Well guess what? She sent the huge case anyway. Since I live in Palm Desert I can afford to travel to Pasadena just this so I decided to buy a smaller case from Amazon.com. You can see the difference in size in picture #3. My advice to you? Request the case in ADVANCE in your hand otherwise they will send whatever they want. read more

They never confirm your appointments and when you call to see if your appointment was scheduled the day you requested is fully booked. There customer service is lacking. After the third exam, glasses were still not right. Optometrist told me that it is coming out of my pocket this time around if the prescription was not right. Looks like I got blamed for their mistake. I will be going somewhere else in the future. Also, be careful buying frames from this place. I was accused of stealing a Cartier eyeglass case. Someone in the store switched out the new case with an old one. Lesson learned is Open the box at the cash register to see what you bought before taking it out of the store. I didn't discover the old torn case until I opened the box in my car out in back of the parking lot! I wish I had reviewed all the low ratings first to mentally prepare for disappointment. What's the point of having an appointment if the wait is over an hour? Staff is very rude and inconsistent with being Covid-19 safe. Beware: some glasses on display have fingerprints on them despite their claim that they've been sanitized. They are very pushy with selling $200 frames from the minute you walk in the door. Even when you are fully covered by insurance for new frames without cost, the optometrist still tried to get you to keep your old frame for $10 - absolutely ridiculous! This place is all about making money instead of your eye care. After selecting a new frame, the optometrist said "goodbye" and rushed off without giving an approximate pick-up date. I'm not looking forward to seeing what happens next in 3 weeks. read more
