Not the quality care I was hoping for. I saw a lot of positive google reviews and was hopeful that this would be my new optometry place. It was just disappointment after disappointment. I arrived to my first appointment 30 mins early to fill out paperwork and help everything move more smoothly. So why did I feel rushed the whole time ? It took the optometrist 20 mins past my scheduled time to even see me (despite me also arriving 30 minutes early). They have a vast variety of different frames and brands ... which can make it hard to pick a pair quickly. Still to this day not sure if my lenses have scratch resistance or any of that..After 5 mins of looking, one of the receptionists/assistants seemed exasperated I hadn't chosen something yet. After my appointment, they told me they'd call when the glasses were ready for pick up. Never received that call. I had to call 3 separate times during their open hours to reach anyone. On the third call, the receptionist informs me that they have been ready. Now it's the waiting game of over half an hour. I don't understand why it should take this much time just to pick up the pair that's already paid for !!! The business can't handle the amount of clientele it currently has. They'll be short with you and it's gonna be a LONG wait. The optometrist herself is professional and to the point. I will note the assistant who adjusted and gave me the glasses was very sweet. How the mighty have fallen. I came here as a kid and have purchased frames and sunglasses a few times in my life. It's always been a welcoming place but today I popped in to see if they had something in stock. A security guard approached me and asked me to check in. I told him I was just looking at sunglasses. He told me I had to go to the front. This is new...why exactly do I need to give you my information and insurance provider to look at a pair of sunglasses? After I checked in with the front I wanted to ask about getting a prescription pair of glasses to which I was told they would have to check my insurance. Cool. That makes sense. He asked me for my prescription. I told him I know it but it's probably out of date. He told me they need to do an eye exam to tell me if I'm covered under insurance for frames....i left. In what world is a frame covered or not covered under eye insurance depending on my scrip (which is a totally normal number. Nothing insane). I don't understand the hurdles that they have put in place. It's Monday at 2. There's like 10 people here and at least 20-30 walking around working. Annoying. Won't be back. read more

My family and I have been going to Linden since 1992. I actually met Dr. Linden. The service and the attention to detail is the best. I have contacts, multiple works, must have spent over $20k since 2992. The best place for your eye are. Friendly Drs. Great staffs, so many selections. And the great calendars every year. Today, 10/3024, of Dr. Linden see's what's going on at his dream, he'd flipped in his grave. Gone are the curtesy, warms, and the attention to details. The eyes care Dr. are good( tho a little old and "too talkative)". But what I can't figure out why they can't pronounce my name correctly... Anyhow, I was told my glasses would take 3 weeks and I will be notified when done. 4 weeks later I have to drive 30 miles to find my glasses was done and waiting. Dr. Linden would not have tolerated that. Trying to be profitable for a new conglomerate is hard. Linden isn't what it used to to be and will never be again. read more

LONG WAIT TIME Crazy wait time to pick up glasses, I guess they have your money and don't care about how long you will wait for them. I will not be coming back here, lots of ppl working, but the wait does not match the work force. One guy got tired of waiting, asked the counter person and got his glasses right away, until you complain, you get no service. Doctors are good. Opticians helpful when you need to be fitted when your glasses arrive, and no one rushes you if you are looking for a new pair of glasses. However, Donna in contacts was irritable at 10am at the beginning of the day. My child was trying contacts for the first time and she felt like Donna was pressed and impatient when she had trouble removing one of the contacts. She was not able to take any trials home since they told her she could only try daily use ones and she did not have a successful training, due to Donna's irritation, my child chose to try another day since she still had to go to school after the appointment. No option for the monthly lenses since Donna told her she could only try one type of lens at a time. They told her to try Daily use & no option given for the monthly use. Please don't force patients to try daily use if there are monthly use options available. Those contacts are more durable due to the fact you have clean and re-use them for the month. Doctor was pleasant and removed the one lens she had difficulty removing. read more

Doctor that saw my daughter was great. She made sure to make her feel comfortable and even removed the contacts for her since it was her first time trying contacts. Donna in the contact lens area was not patient with her at all. My child felt that Donna was irritable when she could not remove one of the lenses. Her exam was 9:30am and she ended up in the contacts side around 10am. It was the beginning of the day & my daughter didn't know why Donna was was so pressed that she just decided to leave and chose to try to come back another day when she didn't have to go to school afterwards. All in all, doctor's are usually good & the opticians we work with for glasses are nice for fitting and allowing you time when initially looking for a new pair. My child is 14 and wanted to try contacts since she does cheer and her glasses bother her when they practice stunts so she doesn't wear them. She felt it would be nice to be able to see better at the games with contact lenses but we will make an appt with anyone else except Donna for training. Please understand that she did explain it was her first time trying contacts and Donna was pressed for time it seemed. read more

We were built for something and not made aware of it.And then at the end of the exam the bill was presented to us and I said I wasn't gonna pay it.We weren't made aware of it.They made us aware of another charge for checking the retina of your eye but not for contact contact lenses. In fact, that didn't even complete the part of the contact lenses.Supposedly they build this for . I asked to speak to the manager when we were there.I saw somebody pop their head out from the back of the office and stared at me and then go back in. When I called the office manager, she told me that that's normal. That my wife had paid for it in the past. And I said, but why won't we made aware of it like we were made aware of the other charge and she said oh? I see here you didn't even sign accepting that the procedure was going to be done. She didn't care even though we weren't made aware of it. You won't get contact lenses if you don't pay it. I said, but we weren't made aware of it. And you just told me that we didn't sign accepting it being done. She said well, too bad. It needs to be paid and didn't care. Just so you know, when you get there. Be aware of what they're charging you for. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend going there due to the office manager's attitude. read more

Up until 2025, I have loved this location. The doctors are thorough and the staff is always nice. However, my last experience has been awful. I picked up my glasses and had issues with the prescription, it immediately did not feel right. My concerns were dismissed and I was told to go home and try them for a couple days. After a couple awful days I returned to do a redo prescription. The next week I received a voicemail message saying my glasses would be ready by Friday latest. So when I arrived days later on that Friday they told me they weren't available yet and that I could return by the end of the day. So I went home and returned for a second time on that day. Friday evening was my fourth visit and when I tried them on with the new prescription they made me instantly dizzy. Thankfully this time around a young man named Isaac took my concerns seriously and upon investigating he realized it was a measurement issue and sent them back to the lab for a redo of the redo. He mentioned I would get a notice when they were ready and that they would rush them. The next day I received a message saying my glasses were ready. So I let the weekend pass and called Monday morning and said I received a message that my glasses were ready and inquired if I needed an appointment. I was told it wasn't needed and to just walk in and when I did I was told the glasses weren't ready. So I just completed my fifth visit and I am expected to return a sixth time to collect my glasses when they are finalized. I do not live locally and I hope they focus on organizing and avoid wasting time for clients. I've always appreciated this location and I am disappointed with the recent service. 3 generations of our family have been shopping here for the past 30 years. We walked in today and the staff has once again changed. We saw people taking pictures with their phones. After trying on a few frames, one stood out. I decided to take a picture of it with my phone as well. Immediately security office comes by and points to a paper pasted at a staff room door stating no photos. Hmmm... He said we can take pictures with the glasses on however. Paper simply stated no photos in the facility. OK... We kept looking around other frames. Then an Asian guy comes to us and says we need to leave because we were sliding the sensors of the frames which resulted in them getting scratched. WHAT? My sensor is bulky and we slid it to be able to try it on comfortably. Nonetheless, we were done looking and decided not worth the battle given we found nothing we liked and walked out. Moral: They don't want you taking pictures of the product ID engraved on the inside of one of the frame arms. I doing so, you can compare prices online and likely find it cheaper. Thus, they put the sensor specifically over the product ID to obstruct the view and lure you to paying an outrageous price. Staff changed for the worse. read more

After about 20 years of coming here since I was a kid, I have decided to take my business somewhere else. I called to make and appointment for a contact lens trial follow up and spoke with Michael. He said that I could only make an appointment with my doctor which would be 6 days out. As a long time customer, I know that I can make an appointment to be seen by any doctor. After telling him this, he placed me on hold for an extended period of time ridiculously long. I called later in the day only to be placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time again. Now I have to do a walk in appointment since I keep getting put on hold by Michael. I look forward to finalizing my prescription and finding a place that can help me see better in a reasonable time. read more

After going here for 6+ years, I will not return. I received a pair of contacts but wanted to wear my glasses I came in with to drive home. I didn't feel comfortable with the contact lenses as they were not exactly my script (they ordered me the correct pair but let me go home with these for the time being). I asked for a contact case to put the new lenses in and they refused! So, what? Am I supposed to hold them in my bare hand and drive home? When I asked if I could have just one of the many boxes of sample contact solution and contact cases they used to give me after each visit, she said "those are now only for new customers". So I guess Linden Loyalists are just out of luck.... No contact cases for us! Only if you are new. I've spent thousands of dollars here on glasses and lenses and I am refused a $0.75 contact lens case! Good stuff. I won't return after I get my trial lenses and go to a more professional spot. I've gotten several glasses at this place in the last 10 years. They have extra charges for everything. They sell you scratch protection, but when you go back to address issues, good luck. I went back 1 year and 5 days after I had purchased the glasses (1 year scratch warranty) for them to look at why my glasses had scratches, there was no flexibility - only that the year mark had passed. Offered to sell me new lenses at full price. Wow. I recently went in again to see what their frame selection was. After looking around for about 10 minutes, a security guard approached me to say I needed to check in. I told him I was just browsing that I didn't need to see anybody at this point, he said I needed to check in anyway. Going to the receptionist to check-in, they started asking me for phone numbers, date of birth, etc. this is only to look around. That's OK. I'll take my business elsewhere. I've come here for several years. Post pandemic service has significant declined. In November 2023 I brought my mother here for her appointment and she was seen over an hour after her appointment time. In late December 2023 I came to get my annual eye exam, it took a while to be seen also. My glasses took three weeks to be ready and they were ready several days ago however I was not called, I just happen to have left a reminder note on my google calendar and called today, low and behold they were ready. Fast forward to this afternoon, waited forty five minutes in the lobby on a cold rainy Monday to pickup said glasses. I inquired with the front desk if I needed to come back with an appointment another day to pick them up to which three different times she stated it I was next and they were grabbing my glasses. When I finally announced I was leaving after waiting forty five minutes, someone finally retrieved the glasses. I've been a patient of linden optometry for 30 years and recently I had a very bad experience with upper management, I bought a pair of glasses which cost me over a $1000 and with in two days the frames fell apart at the temple part of frame (bad spot welding) so I went back to lindens and they refused to fix or replace there product and to make things worse the store manager accused me of breaking them on purpose ( completely insane) I will never buy from them again, they don't guarantee there products!!!! read more

APPOINTMENTS: Don't bother making one online, and good luck getting to someone without having to wait 20+ minutes to get on the phone with someone. FRONT DESK: Expect some ATTITUDE, You cant even ask them how their day is doing without getting cut off and shoving a clipboard at you. Don't even try and ask them any questions because they will look at you as if you're crazy, and don't even know what is going on. EXAMS: Expect to wait about 20 min to see your doctor. Is that normal? DOCTORS: Dr. Vivien L Chan is amazing!!! I have seen her for the past few years and i have never had an issue, i enjoy seeing her because she takes the time to go over and explain any questions or concerns you may have. ORDERING GLASSES/CONTACTS: Yes they have a big selection, but if you need something ASAP do not come here. They will take FOREVER, they give you the run around and you will have to follow up and call them everyday to get a status on your glasses/contacts. PRICE: LOOK OVER YOUR BILL!!!!!! If you are ordering glasses/contacts, they will give you a price and quickly rush over to cashier so you don't have a chance to look at the bill. I have been overcharged for things I don't even need. You won't find a better selection anywhere else. The staff is always very friendly, patient and helpful. I've been coming here for over 20 years starting back when I lived 3 miles away. I now live 22 miles away and I'd come here even if it were 50 miles away. It's a busy place but that's a testament to the quality. I don't understand how there are so many low reviews because I'm here annually and have never had a bad experience. I bring my kids here and use them for my own exams, eyeglasses and sunglasses. You can find most big designers including Gucci, Tom Ford, Prada, to less expensive like Tiffany & Co., Michael Kors and Ray Ban. The selection is seriously unbeatable. I ordered glasses. I was told they would be ready in 10 days. I was past 14 days and finally call. I'm told they need to cut the lenses and the guy that works on that machine will be in the next day. I'm told I'll get a call when they are ready. Since I'm never called, I call to check in. This time I'm told the glasses did not pass inspection and they'll be ready in a few days. Again, I have to be proactive and call. This time I'm told they need the no glare coating added. I'm promised someone will call on Saturday when they are ready. Again no call. Getting glasses shouldn't be this difficult. read more
