This is my favorite go to ordering location around home. All their food taste fresh. My favorite is the Thanksgiving Burger. The flavors take me to good November memories. Great flavor and texture. Also, the Sriracha chicken wrap is fantastic. The pancakes are also awesome, especially the baked in banana.... Yum!! The mozzarella sticks are always together and full of cheese. The California Burger substituted with their turkey patty is so good. Even though I order through an app, the food gets here got and quick. Update: The owner reached out immediately and was very gracious with his response. He apologized for what happened which is greatly appreciated. We usually do take out from here with no issues. But tonight I went there for dinner and dessert with my two children along with my friends and their children. The service for dinner was good as was the food. Then we ordered dessert because the kids were excited to order specialty shakes. The restaurant was not that busy being it was 11:00pm. We then waited over a half an hour for the shakes to come out. That's a long time when it's late at night and you have children waiting. The hostess who made the shakes brought them to the table and I let her know that we very disappointed at having to wait so long. She was very indignant and didn't offer an apology at all. The server then mixes up the flavor of the shakes so two of the kids received the wrong ones but only realized it AFTER tasting them. When we let the hostess know she made no apologies, did not offer to make new ones, and when I asked for the two shakes to be taken off of a large check she flipped out and proceeded to tell me that the kids made the mistake and she wasn't going to do anything for us. She also said that the shakes took so long because they were packed. The diner was not busy when we initially ordered the shakes a half hour earlier. She was screaming at me that there is a pandemic going on and they are short staffed. I told her I have no issues with that and all they had to was explain when we ordered dessert that it would take a half hour. I have never been in a restaurant and been treated so poorly. The diner did absolutely nothing to right the situation at all. I wasn't asking for anything other than the kids to get new shakes or not to be charged for them. When I asked her to please get our server so I could hand the tip over directly she said to me "why would you want to tip if the server made a mistake?" Really? Who says that?????? She was very nasty and wasn't willing to listen or rectify anything. I would never go back there based on her attitude alone. When here for dinner the other evening after a long bike ride and was pleasantly surprised. I've heard so many mixed reviews about this place which makes me crazy because I grew up going to the Massapequa diner their other location. We all know that the Massapequa diner is a legacy in its own town. I walked in was immediately greeted and seated in a nice booth our waiter Joey was very friendly brought over waters and a complementary pasta salad. I went with a special chicken night chicken bruschetta it came with a saladDrink and dessert of choice. I didn't want to have the starch so they let me substitute it with sautéed spinach with no up charge. My husband had a salad the Soho salad and that too was a great portion fresh and delicious. My chicken was very good the bruschetta came with fresh mozzarella and I went with the carrot cake for dessert. It's not your typical carrot cake but it was recommended by the waiter and I have to say it was delicious.I don't know why this place is getting such a bad rap but I would say you definitely need to try it for yourself and you will be pleasantly surprised that it is a very good diner. read more

A great diner with great service. The menu is vast and has all the classic diner options. We had baked clams, spinach pie and a burger. The french fries were delicious! The floor was a bit slippery (probably a bad choice for high traffic areas) and there was no dessert menu (we were told to go look in the bakery case) but otherwise a great find that we would return to. read more

I love this places vegan options. I order the chicken sandwich on a roll every couple of weeks. The prices are decent compared to other vegan options in the area and the portions are filling but not too large. My sister got a regular Peter Luger burger and said that she was surprised about how tasty it was for a diner! They are in Uber eats abs door dash making getting the food easy and efficient however I also enjoy going to sit down for a traditional diner feel also. read more

I have been going here since 1969...but it is now under new ownership. The food was better with the previous owner, but the decor is brand new and was very much needed. The food is pretty good and service is great. I had a gyro sandwich platter and it was tasty. They also have a gyro salad which I will get next time because it is less messy. We decided to eat here after my husband saw them on restaurant hunter. The seafood bisque was delicious and served in a bowl not a cup. The Cole slaw, salad and house dressing were also very good. We ordered the house tortellini with short ribs and it was on the level of a fine restaurant. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and that, too, was excellent. I've eaten here before with no issues but tonight's delivery was just inedible. Eggs Benedict is my go to diner food, never had a bad one until today. The eggs were not cooked. Not over easy, not poached. Just barely past the point of being raw. Couldn't eat it. We also got a Buffalo chicken wrap that had soggy brown lettuce, the flavor of the bad lettuce permeated throughout the whole wrap. We also got the Reuben egg rolls, they were good thankfully. Where do I begin. That they forgot to make my lunch and when I came to pick it up I had to wait 30 mins? Or that the "manager" did not apologize once until I called him out on it? Or when he came out of the kitchen and asked me "uh is there a problem here?" when I had my fiancé call and ask what's going on with the order. Why? Because I'm not confrontational and just wanted my food. I then flipped out when he proceeded to say "well you didn't even look mad". When I asked for the manager, he said he was the manager. I asked for his manager and he advised "my boss". Asked for a name and all I got was "Peter". Then this "manager" proceeded to tell me "he'll be here Wednesday so you can come back". BEWARE! Diners are a dime a dozen--you can find a much better one (South Bay!)! I ordered a gyro with fries and a Greek salad. I received a gyro with just the meat, along with fries IN the salad...Normally when I order this from a real Greek restaurant, the gyro has all the fixings on it, and the salad is packaged separately so that I don't have to pick the soggy fries out from the salad. I called the manager to complain but he didn't care and was VERY unapologetic-I didn't hear the word "Sorry" once. He also didn't care that the delivery guy DID NOT HAVE A MASK ON! When I called to say they forgot the matza balls the man was very rude and condescending on the phone saying "you ordered chicken noodle soup" I replied "no, i ordered matza ball soup" this went back and forth 3 or 4 times before I said "your website must have been wrong" he responded very rude and smug "well we get over 300 orders a day and the website it fine. I can remake it, but you ordered wrong!" I hung up furious with how rude and condescending this guys was. Food was cold because there was no calling or knocking on the door or ringing the bell. It's 36 degrees out, so cold food. We called the restaurant & were told that the driver always texts the ordering #. That's their policy. The phone is a landline. He said it was only there for 12 mins. Like I said, it's 36deg out, so cold food. He said I could get it replaced if I came to pick it up (so much for delivery). Re: knocking or ringing of doorbell...he said that delivery is contactless. Apparently, for Lindenhurst Diner that means not touching anything. It's painful to give this restaurant a low rating because, in general, the food is good. Don't let the look of these dishes fool you (not that there's anything wrong with the way they look, we just couldn't wait another second to dive into them lol), the Lindenhurst Diner has absolutely changed the game with their new vegan menu. I've been dying for diner food since transitioning to a vegetarian diet but I've been mostly limited to breakfast food and disappointing veggie "burgers." The Lindenhurst Diner was a favorite of mine pre vegetarianism and I was absolutely elated to see them introduce an entire vegan menu. Amazing. We tried the vegan nachos and the vegan buffalo chicken and could not have been more impressed. The vegan cheese sauce was a touch sweet, but paired with the impossible nacho meat, salsa and sour cream, it was incredible. It was so realistic that I momentarily questioned whether I got the real nachos or the vegan ones. The buffalo chicken grilled cheese was equally as delicious. Okay...came here because of the vegan hype. I've been vegan for 5 years and I'm used to just getting a side of fries *maybe* or a house salad with no cheese or dressing when I go out to "dinner". I'm so excited to have found out about this place. There were soo many options. I got the chick'n caesar wrap with sweet potato fries. SO good. Wrap was amazing and had enough sweet potato fries for 3 people, seriously. Spot on. My boyfriend is not vegan, and was craving breakfast. He got eggs wish hash browns and bacon, with a side of corned beef hash. His bacon was raw, the hashbrowns were literally sliced boiled potatos and the corned beef hash was something you'd see in a cartoon cafeteria...*slop*. I was disapointed that I had such a great meal and he didn't enjoy his. I still love this place and want to come back for breakfast like, tomorrow. I love the new look to this diner but when we went the food was ehh. Maybe it was what we ordered but I feel like no matter what you order it should be good.
