This is not your ordinary diner food. The whole menu is much more than any other local diner. My estimated delivery time was an hour but came in just 40 minutes so it was fast. Everything was hot and fresh and the order was accurate with all condiments. We ordered the baja steak tacos, Belgian waffle, sweet potato fries, grilled cheese and matzo ball soup. A little disappointed in aspects of management today. A couple of large groups of people, sitting around, not wearing masks and not eating. One group was done eating, and they just kept socializing. They were there before we sat, and there as we were leaving. On top of that the power goes out (not their fault) but questions to our waiter were answered ambiguoius at best. It would have been good if someone in charge was walking around making sure diners were ok. The power going out meant the air exchange wasn't working and those sitting and chatting without masks on needed to be addressed. read more

We are New to the area (West Babylon) and have been finding our new places to eat and shop ect, we tried this diner for breakfast and dinner. I will start with breakfast. Our experience was terrific! Our waiter was amazing and really friendly, the service was great and so was the food. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. The coffee was flowing with several servers asking if we wanted refills as well. We went last night for dinner and had cheeseburger deluxe's and a side of mozzarella sticks. Everything was perfect! They sent the food out in waves, which is the best way to do it because you do not feel rushed. we got our slaw and pickle first then our sticks and finally our meal. Everything was prepared exactly how we asked and hot. Burgers were out of this world!!!! Our server was awesome as well and he suggested Russian dressing for my wife to dip her sweet potato fries in, sounded weird but was on point! Vegan diner food that doesn't require me to trek out to Champs Diner? Say no more. So I'm not a vegan (although I was for quite a while), but I still have a propensity towards all the vegan noms. A bunch of my friends are vegetarians and vegans too, so a place with a couple of vegan options is an amazing luxury. But a place with an entire dedicated vegan menu is a unicorn. My friend (who is a vegan) and I went, fresh out of a hot yoga class, so we ordered half the menu, and I have to say, overall I was impressed. The buffalo chik'n grilled cheese was a standout that I will definitely crave in months to come. That with the peanut butter, banana milkshake (which is not on the menu-they have that and an oreo one), and I'm set. We also ordered the nachos and mac & cheese. The nachos were good, wouldn't mind ordering them again, but the mac & cheese left a lot to be desired. That being said, diners are a Long Island staple. We went to this diner mainly for the vegan pancakes and I truly truly appreciate all the vegan options...so instead of going to champs diner in Brooklyn, we decided to go somewhere closer and try this one out.... so the pancakes were not bad but I wish they served it with maple syrup instead of the smuckers pancake syrup which is made of HFCS AND caramel coloring... also I wish they didn't combine the the berries in the batter so I can taste the freshness of it... and I wish they have a vegan whip to top it... and we also ordered the vegan Tex Mex and I asked if they can do tofu scramble instead of just egg scramble and the waiter said yes but unfortunately they don't know how to do a tofu scramble and I regret asking for it because it literally look like just chopped small pieces of Tofu which sucks! How this place has four stars I have no clue. I ordered delivery on Uber eats. A matzo ball soup and a chicken salad sandwich. The soup was beyond oily and tasted awful. The chicken salad sandwich was drenched in mayo and falling apart. They didn't even pack it closed so the container was open when I pulled it out of the bag. Someone packed my coleslaw on top of hot soup so it was hot and melted, completely unappetizing meal. Would never go here or order from here again. read more

A great Long Island Diner, especially when there are so many sub-par ones nowadays. You'll find all the classics here like omelettes, triple decker sandwiches, burgers, salads, Greek specialties etc, and every table receives complimentary pasta salad to kick off the meal. The milkshakes always looks amazing but with my sensitive stomach, I haven't tested one out yet. The staff was friendly and quick to serve us. Had an amazing breakfast at Lindenhurst diner. We ordered cauliflower wings, buffalo chicken grilled cheese and the breakfast tacos (all vegan) The cauliflower wings were beyond amazing. The buffalo chicken grilled cheese was basic. Not something I would order again. Seemed like you could easily make it at home. The breakfast tacos were amazing as well. I could do without the drizzle of cheese on the top it wasn't needed. It's really cool that the diner has a fully vegan menu and gives both to every table when they sit down. I hope they will carry oat milk in the future all they had was soya. I took one star away because our sever was not super attentive and didn't know the menu well. read more

I ordered the vegan breakfast tacos and they were delicious! Tons of cheese sauce and the salsa that came on it was so flavorful. They're no longer doing just egg so it was scrambled tofu instead but you could barely tell the difference. I do think they should lower the price though because tofu is probably a 5th of the price of Just Egg but hopefully they can make that change soon. This is a good neighborhood diner that stays open late. My only issue is with their Jack Daniels burger. The last two times I ordered it there was ketchup in the sandwich with some ketchup in a small cup on the side. When I brought it to the waitress' attention she insisted that this red sauce which was really ketchup, was in their "version" of Jack Daniels sauce. Only done lunch and breakfast here so my review is based on that- Most of the staff is terrific, however one waiter does have a chip on his shoulder about something,or another, he seems to have a superiority complex or something, it seems like I'm bothering him by eating here, heaven forbid I ask him for mustard after he brought the food. Once he had the nerve to tell my girl and " just a few minutes" and wait by the front door to be seated until he finished his social conversation with a waitress . We thought there were no available tables, but there were plenty - rude. Minimum tip applies here. There is a waitress that is the shining star of the place- super helpful and great service. All other wait staff is ok. Very good burger at this place, definitely has flavor to it and you can tell its not some generic frozen patty. The turkey burgers are great as well- they are definitely homemade. Fries are those cheap generic frozen ones with the potato starch coating to keep the crisp, they could do better here. Good chicken salad sandwich. Salt and pepper grinder mills at table. One major demerit for breakfast, ( I would have given 3 stars if not for this and the cheap french fries) They now use potato squares instead of homemade home fries and they appear to be deep fried . These things have a distinct " Ore- ida" flavor to them with that slight hint of onion powder taste, reminds me of cafeteria lunch in grade school. Definitely lost a star for this business decision. This place offers hi- end "designer " coffee drinks at a premium price, but cuts cost on home fries- smh! I do not come here for breakfast anymore because of this. For Vegans on LI - choices for dining out are minimal but good for the most part. Diners are not a place that we can typically go to unless we want a baked potato and a salad with oil and vinegar . The Lindenhurst Diner changed all that with a 4 page Vegan menu option- replicating the majority of regular menu items! . Sandwiches , burgers , munchies, salads and full course dinners are now possibilities. Choices!! Their buffalo grilled "cheese" and chicken sandwich is outstanding as are their variations of the impossible burger! They also feature an all day breakfast menu including "chicken" and waffles! SO happy to see this diner create a REAL vegan menu that has real comfort food and not just a "side salad" like most places give. Impossible nachos are awesome and almost as good as the Impossible quesadillas. The side of curly fries is larger than we were expecting. Husband loved the sloppy joe. Pancakes were fluffy and filling. Wait staff was friendly and waters were refilled frequently. Found our new go to vegan-friendly spot. We went here Monday night around 9pm for a late dinner. Upon walking in, I noticed the establishment was very clean and the decor was fun and your quintessential diner setting. We were able to sit at the counter so we could watch the Mets game. The workers were friendly and attentive and our food was brought out quickly. My burger was cooked to order and very good. The fries were amazing as well. My only complaint is that the skirt steak that was on my boyfriend's panini was very dry and overcooked. Based upon the quality of our other food, I am assuming this was a fluke and still giving 5 stars. I wanted to ty one of their awesome shakes, but was honestly too full to do so. Lindenhurst Diner is a wonderful little diner that I'm so glad we found. We had a party of 6, no reservation, and were seated right away on a Saturday at 6 pm. Between us we ordered: Greek Salad with Chicken Gyro, Texas Burger, an Omelette, and two Turkey Clubs without bread. Our food came out quickly and I dove right in without stopping to photograph more than my fiancé's burger since I was starving. The food was absolutely delicious. The recommend dressing for the salad was the house dressing. I'm not sure what exactly it was, but it was delicious both on the salad and to dip fries in that I stole from my fiancé's plate. I also highly recommend it! I made sure to taste both the chicken and salad without the dressing, and it was great on its own too. Even though I came in starving I took over half of it home. Our waitress Theresa was even thoughtful enough to give me a new small container of dressing to take home with the salad. My fiancé and I each got a hot chocolate as dessert. I think the whipped cream on top must be made fresh, it was wonderful. The hot chocolate itself was so rich I couldn't even finish it. It was totally delicious though, so my fiancé finished his full hot chocolate and my remaining half. After we finished our meals, someone who couldn't make the outing texted asking for a meal to be brought home to him. Theresa kindly put in the takeout order for us with no problem and nobody rushed us out of the table before it was ready, even though we were done eating. Actually, the attitude of the entire staff was amazing all night. Nothing but smiles from the moment we walked in all the way until we left. Went to the Lindenhurst Diner on a busy Sunday morning. The staff are attentive and got us in and out quickly despite the wait. The food? Overpriced and not worth the wait. Shakes are good but it's a small mason jar and they charge over $10. Had a lone star burger and the bottom piece of bread wasn't toasted. The bbq sauce was from a bottle and the bacon was chewy, not crispy. I asked for a medium burger and it was cooked well done, without extra ketchup it would have been inedible. The onions on top were greasy and tasted old. The coleslaw and pickle were good. Fries decent. Not worth over $17 for a deluxe meal. Staff friendly though. Like I said, they were a nice staff but the food is really mediocre and not worthy of the price. read more

Today I ordered a Greek salad with extra dressing on the side it was 14$ and some change, which is fine I don't mind paying up as long as It is good which I was not, not only was there no dressing on the side the salad did not come with dressing on it. My husband and I gave Lindenhurst Diner a try and we're surprised to learn that all food is made from scratch, even some of the desserts are homemade. The food was well prepared and delicious. Finally the diner has come back......... To Lindenhurst. (That was a Rock reference if you didn't get it) Anyway the Lindenhurst diner is back in business, reopened by the folks who run the Massapequa diner and I must say, these folks apparently know what they're doing. After what seemed like an eternity of being closed the newly refurbished diner opened back up a few weeks ago and I have to say so far so good. The staff is friendly and place is beautiful inside and out. Nice and clean and bright inside. We came on a Friday and the wait time was minimal even though they were packed. (Apparently everyone else knows they're good too) There's a full bar with some good draft beers and a really expansive menu with typical fare you'd find at a restaurant as well as some intriguing finds that will be great to try out. Our little guy had a cheese quesadilla that he approved of very much so. ( matter of fact he let the entire restaurant know at one point lol) my wife had the chimichurri steak sandwich that was good but would have been great had there been some salt on the meat. I had the breakfast burger which was a cheeseburger with ham and an egg on an English muffin. It was quite tasty. We also shared some Reuben spring rolls which is egg rolls stuffed with corned beef. They were really good All in all we really enjoyed coming back and hope it keeps up. There's nothing quite like having an excellent diner right down the street from you. I ordered from here about a month or so ago and they forgot something in my order and I had to go back to get it after having it delivered, was giving free cheesecake for the inconvenience. A month later I order today and my grill cheese was burnt and lopsided and cold as well as my mozzarella fries. not sure who does deliveries for them it looked like door dash but I had someone else's curly fries from a fast food place and hair in the bag like it fell on the drivers car floor. read more
