Thanks Deli Zone, Hungry man hero
    Jim D.

Hi folks welcome to Deli Zone located in Farmingdale, Long Island. This review is for a Sunday morning breakfast delivery order. Working Sunday's it's always a challenge to get a good hot breakfast. I can't leave the job site, so breakfast has to come to me. I tried to get delivery from several other places, but they were all too busy to deliver. I checked with Yelp to find my friend Evan had also been at this Deli Zone. Great, let's give them a try. Answering the phone, I was greeted by a cheerful voice. Yes we deliver ! Perfect, I'm really hungry this morning. I ordered up a custom made hungry man breakfast hero with potatoes, cheese, sausage, bacon and ham. Not to forget my much needed big cup of coffee and 2 homemade chocolate chip cookies. Now, I'm all set. The courteous delivery person arrived in about an hour. Wow, perfect order, no mistakes. Everything was prepared correctly and was still nice and hot. I was very pleased with Deli Zone. Thanks again to all the crew and delivery folks. Looking forward to my next meal with them.

It came on a roll they said it would come on a hero

Everyone doesn't know how to make a Philly cheesesteak this is just facts. Deli Zone doesn't know how to make it. I got the order it was on a roll automatically knew it would be trash. Then it wasn't greasy I asked them to make it greasy. I need to see the juice dripping the cheese melting. The use American Cheese idk about that. No mayo on my bread. I had to get home and add peppers and the rest of the stuff to it. Maybe I am just used to a different way "cheesesteaks" are made. They use roast beef for the meat. Which is different for me. I am giving it two stars because of that. I set myself up because everyone doesn't know how to make it. My husband enjoyed his wings though. Update: after I added my finishing touches the sand which is pretty good. So three stars .

I think most people like to find a deli that puts them in a good place. When you find friendly service, with a smile, you find yourself in the zone. By zone I mean "Deli Zone." I drove past this location a few days back and believed I would return. Normally that happens months later, but fate decided today was that day. They have decent parking around the building so I pulled in quick. Once inside I noticed the place was well kept and organized. Also mixed with the comfortable seating and modern look of the place was background conversation. The staff behind the counter greeted customers by their names. I thought to myself "I want them to know my name." So I knew these were regulars and they came often for good reason. The staff was amazing. The lady who took my order also made my breakfast. She was polite and fast with the preparation of my meal. I listened as the staff continued to talk and enjoy their jobs. This made the wait fun for me. Once I got my meal and left I automatically felt I wanted to come again. But wait! I didn't even try the food yet. Was it worth coming back? Looking at my wrap I noticed how tight she wrapped it. Nothing spilled out. She put a ton of bacon and cheese inside. Also she used sausage end to end so every bit would not be waisted on just wrap alone. Once I bit in, I felt that she made this with love. I was impressed with the amount of cheese used and bacon. I forgot to ask for mayo or ketchup but it didn't matter. There was so much flavor inside, it wasn't missing anything. This is my goto deli when I have to travel out East. I'm glad I found it. I'm also glad on this day the staff was working in the zone.

It looked so good. I did not want to open it. Great presentation!!!

Yesterday my daughter was planning a get together for about 20 friends. The wife was handling the ordering of a six-foot hero and trimming. At 1:45 PM I get a text saying, I should order the food. She forgot!!! Well I don't get flustered easily, but the norm for ordering a six-foot hero is a days notice because of the bread. So it 2 PM and I'm calling different deli's and nobody was able to help us out with the order. Harry at Deli Zone said let me call the bakery. He called me right back said he could handle it. He would deliver or I can pick up the order in two hours. Wow !!! Not only were the cold cuts fresh and the bread was warm, but the presentation(packaging) was above and beyond the regular"sandwich on a board". Thanks deli Zone. For making me the HERO with the hero. Craig B.

The worst experience i ever had the woman at the front counter was very rude. One of her workers were taking my order and she sent them away to make a sandwich so the lady that sent her away didn't know what my order was then we asked her if she had but the other lady was taking down and she said we only ordered three sandwiches. Then I added a chicken Parm hero to my order and I soon as I got home my brother and my father split the sandwich and my brother finds a fly cooked into the chicken Parm sandwich this is the last time I will ever order from deli zone I am very disgusted with the service and the food!!!

Love this place! Fresh food, breakfast all day AND delivery! I've been coming here for years and this family owned business never disappoints. Chicken, pizza, cold cuts... come hungry and be filled! Yum :)

90 minute wait for a local delivery and the person who answered the phone won't apologize or give me an explanation. Okay........thanks for nothing.....still waiting........

Delizone has great food! I eat here for lunch most days of the week and I always get fresh and delicious sandwiches and salads. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a go. They often offer recommendations on sandwiches I haven't tried in the past and it's always outstanding. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a treat! The owner Harry and his team do a great job here!

They asked for drink orders and we were left alone for a long time until the drinks arrived. Though we were ready to order, the server just dropped off our drinks and went to bring another table upstairs. I went down to the counter to get someone to take our order, and it took nearly an hour before our order was in (and even then, they took the order of the second table before taking our party's order). It was almost an hour and a half since we entered the restaurant when the food finally arrived at our table, and then it took so long for someone to come with our check and process payment, we went down to the counter to do it. During this time, another family was seated upstairs and left due to not being attended to. This caused big delays in our day and I had to cancel an appointment because we spent over two hours at this restaurant when we didn't want to. That said, food was good. I got the lemon blueberry pancake, which was a little bit gummy but mostly tasted fine. My brother got the mangu, which is kinda hard to find around here, let alone on the menu of a breakfast brunch restaurant. It was my brother's first time having it, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Besides him choosing scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs, it was very classic mangu breakfast. The real crabmeat omelet was another hit-- crabmeat was so real there were little pieces of shell lining-- really ambitious and deliciously executed. The menu is really fun and the food was overall good. Again, I think the very slow service wasn't on purpose and it's because they didn't anticipate such a large crowd on a Friday, but I would say run if they try to seat you upstairs and you're the only ones up there. Be prepared to wait for a long time if you want the reward of nice food.

That's the kind of place you'll want to linger long after your plate is empty. We had French Onion Soup, and it was everything you want from a classic. Rich, deeply caramelized onion broth with incredible savory flavor, topped with a toasted baguette that soaked up just enough broth while still keeping a little bite. The bubbling layer of melted mozzarella and Swiss stretched with every spoonful. There was a flavor I couldn't place, but had me thinking herbaceous Italian seasonings, which isn't typically the flavor profile of French onion soup, gave it a unique flavor and made every bite more irresistible. The Asian Chicken Salad was anything but ordinary. Crisp romaine and crunchy red cabbage were tossed with tender grilled chicken, crunchy cashews, and fresh scallions. We got the sesame ginger vinaigrette on the side, which struck the perfect balance of nutty, tangy, and slightly sweet. Every forkful had a fresh crunch followed by a burst of bright, savory flavor that kept us coming back for another bite. The Chicken Taco Salad arrived in a crispy tortilla shell that was almost too pretty to break into, but we're glad we did. Juicy marinated chicken, creamy avocado, fresh pico de gallo, sweet corn and black bean salsa, chopped greens, and a generous blend of Mexican cheeses were all tied together with a smoky chipotle-lime vinaigrette. Cool sour cream mellowed the gentle heat, creating the perfect combination of creamy, smoky, zesty, and fresh in every bite.

My brother has always wanted to try this place, but we never had a chance to actually step foot inside the Library Cafe. As the name suggests, the restaurant sits at the site of the old town library, and the bar area has tall shelves and a rolling ladder to pay homage to the name. To maximize the restaurant week menu, three of us tried different appetizers. The ahi tuna taco was the best of the lot- crispy shell and nicely prepared tuna filling. The Thai calamari was a little too overcooked and the sweet sauce was cloying. I didn't get to try too much of the French onion soup because my dad almost inhaled it whole, but it was gooey and comforting. I had the honey-soy glazed salmon with broccolini. The salmon was a little dry, but the glaze and cashew went well with it. Maybe a touch of spice could have improved the dish. The broccolini was nicely textured and not too bitter. My mom's fish and chips were underwhelming, though the not-proper "chips" were well fried and seasoned. It was not served with vinegar either. My brother had the Buddha bowl which he enjoyed and felt was a good health conscious option. I did love that they allowed my dad -- who was not feeling too well-- to order just an entree while the rest of the table had the restaurant week menu. I know some restaurants require all members of the table to order off the prix fixe menu sometimes. He had the burger, which was cooked very precisely to medium-rare. We did have dessert though we were stuffed at this point. The sticky toffee pudding cake was lovely, moist, and so decadent without being overly heavy. I ordered the wild berry cheesecake, and while the clearly house made berry compote was a nice touch, it was just a little underwhelming next to the sticky toffee pudding. Overall, we had a good time at the Library Cafe, and though service was a little slow due to sudden rush of diners, it was a fun little weekday dinner. I did see signs for their happy hour, which I'd love to try-- especially their cocktails named after writers!

Skeptical (can you really trust a car for restaurant advice?), I went anyway -- and I have not looked back since. I'm now what you'd call a regular. Let's start with the obvious: the food is delicious. You know a restaurant is doing something right when literally everything on the menu is good. My top picks are the huevos rancheros and the chicken and waffles -- and that's boneless chicken thigh, not breast, which honestly is the correct choice. It's juicy, flavorful, and dangerously easy to finish. On my first visit, I was trying to save some for later... and the owner actually sent me home with extra thighs, because apparently my willpower was not fooling anyone. (I still ate the whole plate.) The vibe is casual and laid-back -- the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable and well taken care of. You've got your choice of sidewalk seating or the cozy interior, so whether you want people-watching or a quieter corner, they've got you covered. If you're ever debating where to go, take it from someone whose car had better taste than expected: just go.
