His idea unfortunately didn't work to fix my issues so he came out the next day. He cleaned my pool in a rush every time and it always seemed like a sloppy job. I would have my pool cleaned once a week for 90 dollars which I felt was a good price but considering the service and customer service I have received, I decided to cancel them. For one, the pool guy was always claiming that my gate was locked when it wasn't. My gate looks like it's actually locked but really isn't. The pool guy just sees and a lock and doesn't actually look at the gate from a close distance. It's happened multiple times and I felt like I shouldn't pay for a service that isn't being done. Second, the pool guy never communicates with me, I have a good amount of pool cleaning supplies and apparently he needed some stuff that I had and never told me but told Max (the owner) that I don't leave any of the supplies out for him. It got to the point where my pool turned green because the pool guy thought my gate was locked and skipped my service for an entire 2 weeks while I was gone on vacation. It took them over a week to get my pool water fixed. And lastly, I feel like I was being overcharged had I never said anything. There's a "one time fee" of 75 dollars once a year and every single invoice had that charge on it. If I never would of said anything he would be coming up on 75 extra every month. I called and asked him about this and Max claimed I never paid it when in reality I know I did cause I wrote him a check and have the copy! I honestly would not recommend "Max pool services" to anyone. During this entire process I started cleaning my own pool and watching videos so I feel confident and no longer need his services. He went on to say how there is no room for any discounts but we finally agreed to go ahead with the job and he agreed to throw in a filter cleaning along with the pump replacement. I needed to do one anyway. So he said he will send his "guy" to replace my pump and motor. So his "guy" came to my house and replaced the pump and motor and while I was talking to him found out his "guy" doesn't even work for Crystal Clear Poolz. Mike basically subbed the job to someone else. So I have no idea who this "guy" was. But anyway, didn't care. My pump was working and I was happy about that. Anyway, the guy is collecting his equipment on his way out so I asked him "what about the filter cleaning" and the guy says "I know nothing about that... call Mike". So I called Mike and he says he will come back in a couple days to clean the filter. So I said that's fine. I figured that may have been a busy day. A few hours later he texts me this... "Hi Ara can you please zelle me the money and I'll have one of my guys to clean the filter on Tuesday" I will be honest, I felt uncomfortable paying before he finished the job. I thought about telling him I will pay once he finishes the job. Or pay most of it and holding back a little bit of the money until he cleaned the filter. Ultimately, I decided to just pay the whole thing. I believe you should give people the benefit of the doubt till they give you a reason not to. So I Zelled him the entire bill. I think you all know where the story goes. That's right. Never heard from him again. I called him numerous times and sent him multiple texts message. He never responded and he never cleaned my filter!!! It's clear he had no interest doing it once he got paid. What kind of business does this to a new customer doing business with you for the first time? Seriously? You know any business can get a couple of friends and family to write "good" reviews for your business. I know who the real Crystal Clear Poolz is. Mike made it CRYSTAL CLEAR to me.
