Good, interesting inventory selection to feed the birds or dress up your deck or garden or wherever you feed the birds.

I'd give 10 stars if possible! I wish I'd discovered Barbi years ago. She is a true gem and an…read moreincredible wealth of knowledge that she freely shares. Happy and healthy birds and their families is her goal, and she achieves it with excellence! Words can't express all the hard work, time, passion, and love she has put into her wonderful birds and also into supporting and educating their families. Barbi's Bird House is the place to go for a new bird (and for toys and other supplies)! My family brought home our precious baby budgie, Bondi, from Barbi just over a month ago. What a joy the whole experience has been, from initially contacting Barbi, to multiple text and phone conversations leading up to our appointment. I've had 4 budgies over the years so am not a newbie, but I always want to keep learning how to care for them better. I've gotten great new information and tips from Barbi. She has all the food, toys, and supplies you could need, and is available for questions anytime. She's passionate about bird health and diet and will support you in giving your birds the best life possible. She takes the time to make sure you and your new bird are the right match for each other and you're fully prepared before heading home. And if you order toys from her, she knows exactly which ones your bird will love. You're not just buying a bird from Barbi; you're gaining new friends in her and her husband Roar. They are so kind and welcoming, you will feel like part of their family. As someone who adores budgies and feels they often don't get nearly the care and appreciation they deserve, I am so grateful to Barbi. Finding anyone who breeds them has been difficult, let alone someone who will put in the time and effort to hand-feed them. It's been evident how this pays off in greatly reducing stress and speeding up adjustment to a new home. Right away, Bondi was already months ahead of a pet store budgie in being more used to and positive about people and not getting scared of new things. Knowing that not all budgies receive very good care, I find that getting to see what Barbi puts into them is a balm to the spirit. Thank you, Barbi!

Meg requested to meet at a park for the exchange, which i thought was a little unusual but assumed it may have been because Meg also breeds dogs and possibly had pregnant animals at home that she did not want people around. When Meg arrived she handed over the sun cheek conure in an ant infested cat carrier. I commented on the ants and Meg responded by saying "It's okay, the bird will eat the bugs." (NASTY) i immediately went to the feed store and asked a worker for a clean box because it was so disgusting. After doing some research it is illegal to keep birds and insects together like this and any professional breeder would know this. At first the bird seemed fine. However by Friday we noticed he was sitting at the bottom of the cage and acting sleepy. By Saturday afternoon, he had passed away. I contacted Meg right away to let her know what had happened. She claimed the bird probably got too cold, but that simply does not make sense. We have another bird living in the same room, our living room and the house was warm the entire time. Meg then offered us another bird free of charge in a few weeks. We explained that if Meg had recommended additional care measures, such as a heating pad and an aquarium setup, we would have done so immediately. Meg had specifically stated this bird was four months old and fully weaned but now im being told it looked closer to 6 weeks old. This week, I decided to look further into this breeder and found numerous concerning Yelp reviews and posts from others describing very similar experiences involving sick birds or birds that were not fully weaned and died shortly after purchase. We are honestly disgusted and heartbroken that my we had to go through this experience. A few days after he passed, I texted Meg and stated that i would prefer a refund of the $600 rather than receiving another bird. I never received a response. I genuinely do not understand how someone with such a concerning reputation is still allowed to continue selling animals. I have spoken to multiple bird breeders in the washington state area and they have all said they have heard the same horror stories from this place. One told me at least once a month they have someone come in with story of sick birds dieing after purchase. Be extremely cautious dealing with this place because the odds of bring a sick or unweened bird home is extremely high.

Lots of moths flying around from the food, though. We continued to purchase supplies and food from Apollo's, but often noticed that the owner was, at best, disinterested. The whole shop is just sort of slapdash, and it always seemed that any questions were met with a healthy dose of apathy. Recently, we scheduled a week in advance to board our conure for a long weekend while we were out of town. We arrived to drop our conure off at 10am right when the store was supposed to open. SUPPOSED to open. After 45 minutes of sitting in the parking lot, repeatedly calling, and staring at the shuttered windows and locked door, we left and made other last minute arrangements, though we were still an hour late getting to the airport. Once we finally got in touch with the store to cancel the boarding reservation, we were met with an aloof apology and a muttered excuse about being 'stuck in traffic' with no offer to make it right. We had also planned to groom our bird during his stay. Since the stay didn't work out, we asked if we could bring him in the following Monday for nails and a wing-clipping. Nope. Again, an apathetic reply that grooming could only be done on Saturdays, and click went the phone. Today, we decided to try Wings of the World in Bothell for a grooming. What a gem of a store. Not only was grooming complimentary, but we learned more about our bird in 20 minutes there than we did from multiple visits to Apollo's. The shop and staff were amazing, eager to help, and genuinely love all things bird-related. Good luck to you, Apollo's. We won't darken your door again.

I found the birds living here to be in great condition. The store itself is a bit messy, but it looks like the owner is working on it. The Mother and daughter that own/work here are very nice and knowledgeable about everything bird. Tips: They only charge 5 dollars for small birds and 15 for large birds when doing nails, beak and wing trims....way cheaper than the vet and she does a great job. The food and toys are priced fairly and so are the birds for sale. They prefer cash and will give a discount if you use cash instead of debit/credit cards. Beware! If you don't have previous bird experience...Don't touch the birds! The owner told me which birds were "nice" and the first time I was in there I got bit by a "baby" cockatoo...he was NOT NICE! The second time I was told a goffin cockatoo was nice (he looked perfectly sweet) and the little turd jumped on my head, laughed and proceeded to attack me. The owner stood 10 feet away and either chose to ignore the fact that I was fighting for my head back or she was just oblivious to the attack that was happening right in front of her. I managed to up the viscous little attacker and get him back on his cage, but I left with my hair all disarray and my fingers bleeding. Lesson learned!
