I was very concerned about make-up because I wear so little regularly and I wanted to make sure I looked like myself on my wedding day. After speaking with Ali on the phone, I was confident she knew what I wanted and she delivered! She was very professional but also very fun to talk to. She gave tips along the way and the make-up lasted all night without showing signs of happy tears, kisses and lots of hugs. Andrea Boyer did hair and she, too, was incredible. I showed her a few photos and she made my hair even prettier than the photos. It was so me and stayed intact all night, even after my somewhat intense dancing! The three of us who had our hair done all got what we wanted and looked amazing. She was so great she even helped another friend who couldn't figure out how to curl her own hair. I have long hair and other stylists I have gone to would only give me layers at the bottom, but not Leah! She took the time to listen and understand what I wanted and even offered advice and options for different facial framing and bangs that were suited to my face and type of hair. As soon as we were done and I saw what she did, I had to ask her to send me pictures so that I could show my mom who has been sick of hearing me cry and complain after every haircut, but not this one! Unfortunately, after five hours of experimenting with my hair, Brandilyn ultimately applied pink dye throughout my hair using only gloves. The result was not the balayage I requested, the color was significantly different from the light pink shade I had asked for, and the overall application looked streaky and unprofessional. I returned the following day in an attempt to have the color corrected. Unfortunately, I was left with bleached, orange/brassy roots, which was not an acceptable result--especially considering the service cost me $300 including the tip. What was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. I spent weeks going back and forth with the manager, Christina, before eventually receiving a partial refund. During our phone conversations, I found her communication to be dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. I felt that my concerns were repeatedly minimized, and she initially questioned my account of what had happened. It was only after I provided time-stamped photographs documenting my hair immediately after the service that my concerns were taken more seriously. I understand that hair services can sometimes require adjustments, but I expect a professional salon to listen carefully to what a client requests, communicate clearly throughout the process, and take responsibility when the result falls significantly short of those expectations. Unfortunately, I did not feel that happened here. I'm sharing this review because the quality of the service and the way my concerns were handled afterward did not reflect the level of professionalism I expected for the price I paid.
