I don't know about you, but if I go to a diner I am going there for the diner experience. I'm not expecting gourmet dining, elegant surroundings, or finely dressed servers. I'm expecting good food, cleanliness and comfortable seating, and efficient service: And that's exactly what you'll find a Lindy's Diner. The eating highlight for us when we popped in for breakfast was my partner's omelette. What made it stand out was the thinness of the outer egg. It was more like a crepe, than a pancake (if you know what I mean). That's the way we like an omelette, and how we make them at home. I had the half portion of the "Souther Benny" -- sausage gravy and a biscuit instead of English muffin & hollandaise. Either they mistakenly gave me the full portion, or the full portion is gigantic. Interestingly, the home fries look super boring. Little square potatoes that look like they have doing on them but paprika. Don't be deceived. Try them. They are deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked. It was good but if I and known how they prepare their omelettes I would have gone that route. One final note: Out sever was awesome. I wish we wrote down her name so I could use it here. She was super busy, rushing around in a whirlwind, but had had a broad smile every time she stopped by our table and was super helpful and friendly the whole visit. A very solid classic diner choice for breakfast in Keene if you ask me.

Highly recommend Lindy's for great food and service. I know many like to wait for a booth but counter service is great as well. Since the service is so good sitting at the counter adds to the expierence speaking with the waitress and wait staff.

Amazing service and amazing food. Metered parking about $1.50 for one hour. Homemade breads. Indoor and outdoor seating. Takes credit cards.

Finally got a chance to check out Lindy's! Every time I walk past here on the weekends there's always a line for brunch which is a testament to their devoted followers. I got the crab cake BLT and it was so good! That crab cake was top notch in my opinion and I would definitely get it again. Service was fast and attentive and I dig the diner vibe!

If I could give it six stars I would. Short wait was most definitely, truthfully would have waited damn near hours for the food we got. Menu has something for everyone, really appreciated the all day breakfast and lunch! Waitstaff was efficient, accommodating, and extremely pleasant. Isabella went out of her way to ensure we had an amazing experience. The cherry on top of our time at Lindy's Diner was the DELICIOUS and FRESH food. It came out quickly and was a delight to eat. Left excited to come back!

I first heard of Country Girl after watching Chronicle approx. 2 year ago. The whole experience was awesome! We ordered drinks immediately after taking our seats at the counter. I had a pepsi and I had to order a vanilla milk shake to go! My wife had water and coffee. We wanted to get our order in because we felt like the staff was nice enough to let us in that we didn't want to stall them from getting out at closing. My wife had grilled cheese with tomato soup. I had a burger with fries. My wife was thrilled with the soup. She said it was the best tomato soup she has had in a long time! My fries were excellent. home made and tasty! You can see in the pictures that the diner is set up with booths and a counter top. I am told that they are busy year round. I can see why because the food and service is fabulous. The staff was so nice and welcoming! Price: fair Parking: plenty of parking in the lot Vibe: great music...welcoming Would I come back again? Yes, I would love to visit in the summer on a beautiful warm day! 5-stars!

Please tell the cheesesteak I'll be thinking of her.

Hey, it does happen. But the food was all cold. I asked for my English muffin to be toasted it came back to me raw with a glob of butter on it. I asked for a replacement the next one came just a little more toasted with yet another glob of partially melted butter kind of gross looking. I asked for my pancakes at the end of the meal and they were cold I asked for butter and it would not even melt I had cold maple syrup I paid extra for the real stuff and I didn't even finish them because they were just cold and chewy. My corned beef hash I asked to be on the crispy side it was crispy on the outside and cold on the inside. I had to keep asking for my coffee to be filled which I shouldn't have to do. I hate to say this but overall it was a terrible breakfast probably one of the worst I've ever had and the service was not very good at all. Definitely will not be back unfortunately.

Classic, cold milkshake that comes in the aluminum cup and hits fantastic at night with their seasoned waffle fries and pancakes. Great stuff. magical experience. perfect nighttime bite. What you'd hope for in an updated rustic old Vermont building. 2. The service has been excellent on both visits, with the caveat that breakfast is busy and the food took a long time to arrive. 3. Breakfast was solid. Not transcendent but solid eggs and toast and home fries and coffee and everybody seemed happy. Room for improvement 1. For Putney Vermont - get some decent vegan and vegetarian options. 2. The veggie burger was bean based, mushie old-school 70's style. Fell apart as soon as you picked it up. 3. The cheeseburger was good. It's just that for $18 you could show a little more attention to detail. A greenish slice of winter tomato. A single leaf of iceberg lettuce. 2 ringlets off an onion slice. And no pickle. 4. The fries that came with it had to be sent back to be cooked longer. And there was a big puddle of oil on the plate once I slid the par-cooked fries onto a side dish. The server was lovely about it and they came back fast and cooked through. But my guess is the oil wasn't hot enough hence the grease puddle. 5. The chicken orzo soup was meh. I don't try it. Brought it home for sick family member. And sorry but my personal pet peeve - the pre-calculated tip options were 20,22,25% and all calculated on top of the sales tax. Understand that it has gotten VERY expensive to go out for a burger for your average local. So putting a little more attention into it would be greatly appreciated. All the best, and thank you.
