Came with my husband on a Saturday evening for date night…read more The ambiance of this spot is really cute and cozy. Very intimate and perfect for a date. They have two tasting menus (omnivorous and vegetarian) which I appreciate. We both chose the omnivorous. Portions are tiny but there's a lot of courses. A huge downside for us was how long in between courses there was. We were getting pretty hungry at one point and our conversation fell into a lull because we were just eager for food lol. The experience was around 3.5 hours. It would have been a lot better if it stuck to 2 hours. Maybe 3 max. Food was beautifully presented and quite tasty though!

One creative dish after another, each exciting my palate in new and different ways, mixing unexpected ingredients together for a surprisingly refreshing experience The restaurant itself kept one's eyes busy, a semi-mediaeval ambience reinforced the feeling of being someplace special, even exotic. The service was excellent and also very friendly. The server doubled as a bartender and was eager to create interesting concoctions on demand, lending his own creativity to the process. This place is highly recommended if you are looking for unique and interesting experiences - and quality on top of that

We got to our reservation a little bit early and went on a pre-dinner garden walk, which included sampling multiple items in the garden, which kind of set the mood for the night. Right before heading out for the garden walk, we had an amuse bouche style bite. Once we were done with the garden walk, we sat at our table which was a communal table, which had two other couples, and we all three became very acquainted with each other by asking questions and given a background of who we are. As you can tell by the menu in the picture that I have posted that it was a very great listing of food items that were prepared for our evening and the pictures do not speak justice the flavor that was represented My wife really loved the Fieldhouse as I love the sunshine daydream. As the Fieldhouse was number two on my list, the tomatoes were 100% out of this world and were very flavorful. The place is always clean and organized and the staff is very friendly and helpful as well as they make sure that your time being spent there is 100% worth it. Ask for the recommendation I usually tell people I highly recommend a place but this place is a number one place. I tell people about if they want to have a romantic evening or special event plan that is surrounded by food and wine and good company. This place is a hands-down top-tier in Washington state. Thank you Chef Chris and GM Jack. As a sidenote, during the pre-dinner garden walk. I walked up to the general manager, Jack and told him how much I enjoy this place previously and his memory was on point of three years ago and remembered exactly where we sat and what I did for a living and everything ,100% surprising and it set the mood that the people here care about everybody.

The reservation is for 7pm but you can arrive as early as 615pm to explore the gardens, wine cellar, and library, as well as get a welcome (non-alcoholic) refreshing beverage. All of the staff were introduced and they explained both the food menu and the wine pairings. During the meal, there's a live guitarist playing classical takes on tunes. Everyone is super polite, they commented on my Labubu and their custom (hand knit!) hat - shoutout to Rosalee for the Labubu hat. Here's the menu and the pairings. My thoughts were that the peas stood out but otherwise it was a forgettable meal. What a delectable meal after a 4 hour bus ride Came here…read moreafter dropping off our bags at the hotel, since it was just a 5 minute walk away. We came in around 1:45pmish and it wasn't crowded. They had an amazing selection of pastries, though I didn't try any. I got their Caramelized Banana Latte to satisfy my sweet tooth, and it wasn't too banana-flavored nor too sweet; the black sesame in it balanced it nicely. I also got the Urban Pesto, which was SO yum. I was little skeptical of the focaccia - sometimes I find it to be too puffy, and thus hard to eat the sandwich - but this had a lovely panini press on it that made it easy to eat. The in-house herby cheese in the sandwich made each bite just that much more delicious. The staff was also super nice and accommodating to my parents' requests and questions. Can't wait to come back to try their other food and bev options!

I appreciated that this location has both spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Despite being busy, this was not packed with ample seating still available and not cramped. Nice chill vibe with good music, healthy foliage and pleasant indoor decor, with a reasonable unidirectional service line. Tempting pastry case with savory and sweet choices, the usual bevs, as well as, cocktails. Vibrant place to visit solo or meetups with others. The 16oz iced mokka (mocha) I had was well crafted. Both counter folks were personable and welcoming. I was able to sit at a two top and remain cool during my brief visit on that hot Tuesday early afternoon. They've been an indie (Cafe Hagen/Freya) that has expanded to many locations: here in SLU, two on Queen Anne, downtown on 5th, at Dexter, the Waterfront, Freya in Pike Place Market and Nordic Museum in Ballard, plus sites over in Bellevue and Kirkland. We got a couple of drinks (wine for $10 a glass, negroni for $10), the rigatoni ($15), garlic bread ($6), and arugula salad ($11). The rigatoni was my favorite - well sauced and perfectly al dente. The garlic bread was my least favorite - I'd skip it and use your carbs elsewhere. Service was solid - we sat at the bar and felt well taken care of. It does seem like it's best for small groups and not large parties though, so keep that in mind. Also try to make a reservation as they said they were booked up. Parking in the area is not great, so keep that in mind! Overall, a great experience and I'd definitely come back!

This was the perfect pastry for an easy and light breakfast. It wasn't too oily at all. I came in the morning around 8:30am and later again near 11:30am and it seemed like they had different pastries at the different times! The croissants were near sold out by 11:30am, and they had brought out their puffs. I need to to try the jalapeno cheddar cheese puff next time! The drip coffee was so delicious. I would love to come back to ask if they offer refills for free or at a discount. There was a good amount of seating, but I'm not sure if you could study/work here because I didn't pay attention to if they had wifi/outlets/a bathroom. I walked, but it seemed like there was a decent amount of street parking nearby.
