    Gyro Plate (hold the fries)
    Michelle R.

We were craving gyros. When we searched in our area...lo and behold, Sunset Bistro popped up. I've gone by here twice a day for years. We didn't know what we've been missing. We ordered takeout during Phase 2 social distancing. When we arrived, they had good signage limiting patrons and excellent food safety rating. When hubs went in, our order wasn't quite ready, so he came out to wait. The owner popped out when it was ready - thank you. The gyro plate was soooo good. Generous portions of lamb, lots of pita, both tzatziki and hummus on the side. I opted for no fries, and was given a generous salad with a delicious range dressing. Portions were good sized. We were both stuffed. We were only sad we hadn't found this place dinner. I highly recommend it!

All foods are look good but we ordered #2. Tochiruna Pork & #13. Gyro Plate for lamb. Tochiruna Pork is fresh pork meat chicken liver smokey sausage crushed tomatoes ...saved with polenta. So delicious ! I enjoyed Gyro Plate for lamb. Great volume and easy food. I'd like to try some more next time!

Have you ever wanted to experience Romania in Seattle/Renton? This is the SPOT!!! Florin and Family are an experience and we feel at home here and it's why we go back. Whole Foods made by hand and with Love. We love their Tripe Soup and I don't even like Tripe. Lol.... At Sunset Bistro they make the best tripe soup I've ever had and we always order every time we go. So today we tried something new as we love their Chicken (Schnitzel) and this time our boys had that and we had the Lamb Pastrami and it's the best Lamb I've ever had. Everything was delicious and the 32 Oz Mac and Jack to wash it all in was awesome!!! Also try their homemade breads and deserts. Made with brown sugar and we feel great when we leave knowing we had food made with care and whole ingredients. Thank you!!!

Had a great experience here! The mititei (skinless sausage) was deliciously juicy! The mamaliga (polenta) was savory and warm. My favorite was the tripe soup. Server was friendly. Loved the Romanian decor.

After a long day if hiking we we're in need of food and my friends, who are Romanian, wanted to check this place out. I never had Romanian food before so I was going in blind, but my friend says that the food here is very authentic and that it's as good as it get. We ordered the three soups they had which was the tripe, meatball, and smoked pork. We also had an order of pork stew and cabbage rolls. The soups came out first and after sampling all of them, I couldn't decide what my favorite was. They were all unique in their own way. The tripe soup was creamy and rich, the meatball soup was tart, and the pork was heart and savory. The meat was very tender and tasty as well. The soups also came with bread for you to dip with. The cabbage rolls was super tasty, it was soft and tender and flavorful. The pork stew was similar. It came with pork, liver and sausages. Each of those dish also came with a side of polenta and the polenta was very different from what Im use to. They are thicker and stickier. Everything tasted really good. Portion was good, service was good, price was good. Overall, I would definitely come back to try other things here

    Lamb Gyro

Sunset Bistro was absolutely delicious. My friend and I went here for lunch and we have both always wanting to try it but never have been. We showed up and were greeted by the owner. We both ordered the lamb gyro and it did not disappoint! We've been craving gyros since the Gyro House left the landing and I am so happy to share that these were 100% better! Highly recommend you give it a try. I can't wait to go back and try more things!

The more detailed vers: I found this place on Yelp, but had never visited before. I was SO excited by the glowing recommendations, so my bf and I decided to choose it to make my 40th bday dinner special. - First clue something was off was the place was dead. We were the SOLE patrons there on a Sunday night! - My mandarin basil mocktail was quite literally a glass of grapefruit juice with a single basil leaf on top. - We ordered crispy brussel sprouts as an appetizer; not only were they not crispy but they were near raw? Tough, undercooked brussel sprouts lol what - My main was paella, it was...fine...not terrible but they were super stingy with the seafood, there were only 2 meager chunks of chicken, 3 tiny scallops and like 3 shrimp in the entire dish. Keep in mind these plates were fine dining prices; the ingredients here likely cost dollars, at best - Bf's steak was overcooked It was bad enough where I politely said something to the waitress which I NEVER do and she apologized and said their lead chef called in sick so all they had was a chef in training. Anyway that was all fine, we laughed it off at the time aa bad luck. But yesterday my bf's stomach was upset the whole day, and that my friends was the final straw to push me to write this review. To the restaurant owners: it's one thing to have a mediocre dinner, who cares; but we paid high prices to be served crummy food, have a special night be disappointing and then to get sick afterward?
